The first time I went to this store I was at the airport in Spain. That miserable day, I was headed to the Canary Islands and I missed my connecting flight but my luggage managed to make it! There were no other flights that day so I was forced to stay in Barcelona for the night with just a pair of sweatpants. As I was leaving the airport I discovered Zaras and made my first purchase, a pair of black-cropped pants and a ??going out? shirt. I was stranded in Spain and I was going to take advantage of it by hitting a cub or two with my friends.

Since that day I have only fallen deeper in love with this store. I hit this shop every season, knowing that I am going to pick up lots of great outfits for work, leisure and going out. Their clothes are inexpensive but stylish and can often be mistaken for designer wear.

A few weeks ago I stopped in to their store on 6th Ave and 59th Street, and treated myself to a new raincoat. It is similar to the designer one that Kate Middleton wore in a recent press release and I just had to have it. I??ve been getting compliments on it everywhere I go. There is nothing better than getting cute clothes for reasonable prices.

This location is my favorite because they always have a large selection of sizes and colors or all their shirts, tanks and pants. I??ve been to some others where you dig and dig, through their neatly folded piles and never find what you are looking for.

I suggest you stop on by and pick up some cute trends for this summer season.

I much prefer this place to H&M but this Zara location in particular is almost always insanely chaotic. You can find anything here from a fancy schmantzy dress to a pair of Saturday jeans. The fashion-forward offerings are unique, and pretty European. Infact, there are SO many dang European tourists in here all the time (given its location next to all of the midtown sites) you feel like you have never left Europe.

Upstairs, for women, there are usually decent sales. Don't miss the shoe offerings, too. A great selection, though sometimes overpriced.

Visit with caution - European tourists at Zara can be animals!

Two things I love about Zara is that their line is fashionable and very affordable. Always have something for me but one thing I am not sure about it their shoes. Typically I like to purchase high quality shoes and accessories so I stick to major articles of clothing at Zara. Staff is very professional and friendly as well.
