Though there a glut of laundromats and dry cleaners on the Upper East Side, the reason for this is that to some degree they all stink. So you can imagine how very happy I was to discover TLC on the recommendation of a friend. Todd and the managers run a very clean and customer-friendly business. It's an added bonus that they are environmentally friendly as well. While I haven't had any major customer service issues( like some bloggers I know), Todd assures me every time I go that if there is any problem that he, personally, will attend to it.

This is the perfect cleaners if you are looking for friendly, fast, and fabulous service. The management at Todd Layne are very friendly and warm. They know each of their customers by name and have an personal relationship with each. It's like "Cheers" everyone knows your name, and you never leave without having a fun exchange with the people who work there. They also are amazing at getting out stains. I had gotten fingernail polish on my brand new white couch and through their new organic green cleaning method, it came out perfect!

Having lived in Manhattan for 12 years, I have found most of the Cleaners to offer the same average service. I have to say that my household has been using Todd Layne Cleaners since September 2006 and there is clearly a difference. Our dry cleaning is done with an eco-friendly method and I appreciate the extras like the lint mitt that always comes back with my clothes. Their Wash&Fold service is really unique and they do things like hang dry jeans and dry our clothes with low heat. The choice of detergents is huge and they offer Seventh Generation. When my grandchildren stay over with me (they have allergy sensitivities), they wash their clothing with the Non-Scent Seventh Generation soap and there is never a problem.
I did have one issue with Todd Layne Cleaners with a dress that came back with a stain. This is a pretty typical occurrence at most cleaners but I was really impressed with how they dealt with it. I noticed the stain after putting the dress on and in hindsight, it probably wasn't that bad. I was quite upset and called the East Side store and told them about the problem. Todd himself got on the phone and listened to my situation and dispatched the Manager of the store to my apartment. He brought over what looked like a tool box with cleaners and actually was able to spot clean the dress to the point that it was almost not noticeable. What really impressed me was that the manager, Rey, told me to wear the dress, get it as dirty as I wanted and bring it back when I was done for a complimentary cleaning. It is for this reason that I will continue using Todd Layne Cleaners and encourage others on the Upper East Side to do the same.

I am a new mom and a new resident of NYC...and Todd Layne Cleaners has been a God sent. Todd Layne Cleaners on the UES is the ONLY place that I trust to do my baby's laundry. When I went in the first time they explained everything to me in detial. They were organized and professional. My requested detergent was entered into the computer, they helped me to set up laundray bags with my name and address, and assured me that my clothes would never be washed with other people's. All of my baby's clothes come out perfectly...and they have never once lost any of the tiny baby socks! Delivery is always prompt. The store is impectable and the people are great! Moreover, Ray (the gentleman who works there) is one of the nicest people I have every met. I highly recommend Todd Layne Cleaners! They are the best.

Todd Lane Cleaners is by far the best cleaners we've ever used. Their service and quality of their work really shows. My clothes have never looked so good. My husband and I love that we can specify which detergent and fabric softner we want them to use - even if we want them to seperate colors or let things hand dry. They really customize your needs and care about keeping you as a customer. There are many cleaners in our area but they can not compare. I would recommend Todd Lane without any hesitation.

I am completely satisfied with my TLC experience every time I send my laundry. It is very hard to find a great laundry service in New York City that is everything Todd Layne is. They cater to all of their customers with many laundry options: how you want your clothes separated, what detergent you want them to use and even how you want certain items specially washed and dried. In my experience, they have also been very helpful in working around my work schedule to pick up and deliver my laundry; they also keep your information on file which makes the pick/delivery/payment process very easy. The staff is extremely friendly and diligent, I highly recommended TLC to everyone.

I love this place. I have been using Todd Layne since they opened, and the service has been nothing short of exceptional. They never lose clothes with wash & fold service, and their organic dry cleaning is noticably better than normal dry cleaning. While you probably do pay up a little for the better service, it's much nicer to know that my clothes are being cleaned by people who care about delivering a high level of service every time (this is more than you can say about practically any other dry cleaning joint in the city). I highly recommend Todd Layne for your dry cleaning and laundromat needs.

I've used Todd Layne Cleaners for over a year and half and have been consistently satisfied with the service. I really like that all the dry cleaning is organic and I can get my clothes washed with 7th generation detergent. They'll also hang dry anything you don't want to put in the dryer. The people at the counter are always nice and helpful - great when you're not sure whether it's better to clean or wash an item.

Todd Layne Cleaner's is the best Cleaners around!!! The customer service is far superior than any other out there (even better than the Jefferson's!). If I have any questions or concerns , the staff are more than willing to help. They have a working knowledge of garment care that I have not seen anywhere else. The location is great. I can drop my clothing off in the morning and come in the evening for pickup!! Crazy right?!

Great cleaners, I have been using TLC for 2 years, I used to go somewhere else and my clothes never came back clean. I found TLC and have been very happy with the service, the employees, and the job they do. They have never lost anything and they follow any specific instructions that you give them. I took a white down coat to be dry cleaned and it came back looking gray, I guess the coat didn't dry correctly. When I pointed it out to them they were great about acknowledging the coat looked bad and that they would send it back to be done asap. When it returned again it was good as new. They were always so nice and made sure that I felt better about the situation and that they would take care of it. Kudos to you guys! I also do my laundry there and they are always friendly and the washers/dryers are clean.

With so many laundry vendors within a 1 block radius in NYC, it's common sense to go with the closest business. Think again; Todd Layne's operation is worth the extra mileage, trumping all competition north of Murray Hill. The wash-and-fold system takes on a new meaning of "personal care", as Todd's diligent staff will cater to your every whim (separate whites/dark, preference of wash temperature, option of fabric softener). Moreover, your load is washed in a separate machines, so the chance of finding your neighbor's polka-dot undies in your clean pile is slim to none. It's even common to find the proprietor there himself, providing a friendly smile and an air of comfort that goes a long way in this concrete jungle. The only downside: it took nearly a year's worth of residing in the area to discover Todd Layne's; thanks.

I went through about 5 different laundry services and multiple headaches before I came across Todd Layne Cleaners. I can honestly say that I am fully satisfied with all of their services they provide - the wash n' fold as well as the organic dry cleaning. They give their customers extensive options ranging from different types of detergents and dryers sheets - to how you want you laundry separated. Unlike many of the different laundry services I've used they carefully follow instructions and cater to their customer's every need. I live over 16 blocks away and not only do they pick-up and deliver, but they arrange special times outside of their delivery time frame to make it more convenient. On top of their great laundering service, convenient delivery service/schedule -- their staff is extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend Todd Layne Cleaners to anyone and everyone!!!

Todd Layne takes personal care of us as clients. They know us by name as well as our cleaning preferences. The very few times we have ever had a problem with a delivery they have fixed it promptly and graciously. They are always polite and a pleasure to deal with. Our clothes come back clean and smell wonderfully fresh. We have been very pleased with their service and plan on using them for a long time.

TLC is a great full service cleaner. I've used the wash/fold, dry cleaning, and self-serve laundry services and I've been satisfied on all fronts. I am always greeted with a smile and rarely even need to give my name. They are all about making things better for the customer, i.e. saving laundry preferences, keeping a credit card on file, delivery/pickup, etc. I love that they offer different types of detergents and will even separate my lights and darks. Recently they've begun having deals which have come in very handy in the current economy. I'm glad to live right upstairs from Todd Layne Cleaners and I've been overall quite pleased.

Todd Layne Cleaners (TLC) is the best.
I've been using them since they opened 2 years ago, and their service started out great and has only gotten better with time and experience. The staff is helpful and concerned, the store is immaculate, and their dry cleaning is far better than my previous cleaner (who I had used for over 10 years).
They have a multitude of different detergents and dry cleaning options and promise never, ever to wash one clients clothes with some one else's. I also like that I can schedule pickup/delivery on the internet.
WHen I've had emergencies on short notice (interviews,etc) they always come through for me.
I go out of my way to use TLC because their service is far better than I can find locally, and recommend them without reservation.
Pros: Good prices, excellent service, exceptional dry cleaning, a pleasure to deal with
Cons: Wash and fold can get busy on weekends.
