I have seen Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Carmen and La Boheme in this opera house. The entire building is gorgeous and the staff is helpful with seating and you will definately be provided with a program. Usually there are two intermissions during the show and on every floor is a refreshment station which is quite overpriced, but what do you expect? They offer sitting and standing spots. The acoustics and lighting in the building are unparalleled and I would definately recommend seeing an opera here if you're a fan.

The Metropolitan Opera House is truly one of the most beautiful buildings in all of NYC. Saw my first opera here and was absolutely blown away. The acoustics were phenomenal and the decor and architecture were breath-taking. Get dressed up and splurge on orchestra seats, it is well worth it!
