Just came back from a weekend there and couldn't be more disappointed. No one on the staff seems to know what they are doing. Front desk told us a few weeks ago they sell discount ski tix. Now I'm there and they don't. Bathroom wasn't cleaned when we checked in. Johnny Rockets took one hour to serve their over priced tiny portions. Buffet had pot roast and mac and cheese as the meal. A la carte menu has 6 choices including appetizers. Anything goes in the water park. We were going through the red lights on the water slides while they weren't paying attention. Then one life guard told us some kid broke a neck that day. Even when they stop you for a malfunction no one knows what to do to fix it. Prior to arriving I had booked next year's trip and confirmed with credit card. Now I get e-mails and calls telling me price was not right, they are rasiing it. I have confirmation number in writing and they ignore that. Leave extra time when you need an elevator, long waits. No hot water in the shower in the mornings. Luggage handlers don't start until 9am so you need to wait for help. Coffee service in the lobby ends at 10 am. Woman left counter to restock and left cutomers standing there.Waterpark was open until 10, unfortuantely food and drinks stop at 9. Couldn't be more disappointed.

Please, Do yourself and your family a favor and make alternative plans. What an extreme disappointment. The water park is slammed with people. It is actually, seemed quite dangerous. Even if you arrive early in the morning 10 or 11, you must carry your luggage around w/you until your room opens, which is suppose to be at 4pm but we did not get ours until around6pm. You are made to wait in a 100 deep line cold and wet until they can accommodate you. And if you try to ask them what is going on they are VERY RUDE!!!! Everything is overpriced and I am not just talking a little! The lobby and the room was decent, but aside from the chlorine the water park was disgusting. A very huge disappointment!

While the rooms are spacious, the price is outstanding and the rooms are dark. Housekeeping takes forever and there were dirty dishes left outside our room for 3 days. Nothing is included but the water park in the price. IF you spend more than 2 days there is not much to do. The teens in the group will get bored quickly. Not much else to do in the winter other than the water park.

Just got back from a trip to Great Escape Lodge. The rooms are larger than most, very clean, and made a two night stay with kids in the room pleasant. There were two queen beds and a pull-out couch.
The indoor water park is lots of fun for all ages. My teenagers enjoyed the slides and I loved the lazy river. There is a tree house type water area for smaller kids which was always busy.
There are a few eateries attached to the hotel, so you don't even have to leave for a few days if you choose.
It's a great place for a quick weekend away. Not too crowded, and it was fun to be in the water in December!
