This shop is incredible. I have never seen so much care for products or customers anywhere. Manhattan is filled with great retail shops for wine, cheese, shoes, parakeets, this one stands out for service.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. But the wine is only as good here as anywhere else. I used to buy wine here and attended a few of their tastings. I will no longer do it because at least 2 of the Brothers Moore are too full of themselves and have a nasty attitude towards women who do not look like yuppies, especially very young ones. The Brothers Moore themselves are not young ones and they are married. I am an artist and will not be caught dead in corporate attire. But I do look respectable when I go somewhere. I recently accidentally attended an off-site tasting of theirs at a Chelsea gallery that was having a benefit. I looked like just about anyone who would have come from work in that neighborhood. The other people at the benefit did not seem to have any problem with my appearance or my being there. The Moore that was there was as close to rude to me as I would tolerate without saying something to him. Their wines are good, the growers and makers are real and sincere. But the Brothers' rants about all of it are too long-winded and are really just to shill the stuff. I don't need to analyze or take their stupidity and will now definitely always spend my money elsewhere, where the wine is just as good, quite often less expensive and the owners value customers who buy more than once or twice.

Pros: Staff is Good

Cons: Owners are Pretentious Dorks
