Stay away from Seaport Orthopedic especially the acupuncturist Kelley Mondesire. She is extremely incompetent as well as nasty and money hungry. Steer away to more professional establishment.

I had a terrible spine problem. My doctor recommended Dr. Goldstein. He had operated on my doctor's brother . My doctor said he was one of the best in the country not just New York. I saw several doctors and decided to have surgery with Dr. Goldstein. I had a tough problem and my results were great to say the least. I was even more impressed by his compassion and bedside manner. I have refered several of my colleagues and friends to Dr. Goldstein. Each one has been impressed by his thoughtfulness and the results of their surgery. Dr. Goldstein never pushed me to have surgery like others did. He left it up to me but told me that he could help me....and he did! Thank you!

I have been very happy with Seaport Orthopedics. I'm continuing with this practice for my care even though the office, in downtown Manhattan, isn't that convenient for me. Dr. Krinick performed a very complicated arthroscopic procedure on one knee. He did an excellent job and fixed a lot of problems, including torn cartilage, bone spurs, etc. I still have arthritis, but the knee is much improved.

After the surgery, I moved over to Dr. Levenson, a rehab doctor, who is one of Dr. Krinick's associates. Dr. Levenson monitors the condition of my knees and prescribes pain medication when needed. I like the fact that I'm being evaluated by two doctors in different specialties who communicate with one another. I think they run a very efficient office too. I highly recommend this practice.

I am concerned about the rate of surgery performed by one of the physicians. Twice, surgery was recommended to me by this physician and twice, when I went for a second opinion (which you should ALWAYS do when surgery is involved), the second physician was annoyed that surgery had been recommended. The second doctor recommended physical therapy on both occasions, which worked. So, please be mindful of the very concerned "soft sell" when going for evaluation! Also, I have had several problems with the office acknowledging my insurance. Be ABSOLUTELY SURE - get it in writing if you can -- that they will accept your insurance! They seem to change the rules frequently. Ask EACH TIME you make an appointment AND double-check when you arrive at the office that your insurance will be accepted.

I went to see Dr Goldstein for severe pain in my lower back and he was completely unhelpful. I waited almost 2 hours to see him and when he finally called me in, he never even apologized for the wait. He was extremely rude, lacking bedside manners, which all doctors should have. After looking at my MRI films and reading the report,I can only assume that when he came to the conclusion about me not needing surgery, it was like he couldn't be bothered with me anymore and pawned me off on his PA. A very nice woman, but not the doctor I made the appt with. Needless to say I left there completely dissatisfied and made an appt for a 2nd opinion.

I waited for 2 1/2 hours to see Dr. Goldstein on my first visit. After having 2 MRIs, the doctor told me to go see someone out of my network. I asked if the office could recommend another doctor - they said they couldn't and to talk to my insurance company.

When I asked Dr. Goldstein's office for a copy of the MRI results, I was told that I could pick them up in 5 days.

Luckily, i found another doctor who was interested in my well-being. It turned out that I need to have surgery fairly soon after that appointment.

About three weeks after my surgery (at an unrelated facility), Dr. Goldstein's office called to tell me that my MRI results were ready.

My left knee had been giving me problems for years and I had seen many doctors who gave me exercise/stretching remedies but nothing helped. Someone referred me to Seaport Orthopaedic and I went to Dr. Krinicks. He was very thorough and discussed all possible options with me. Ultimately, I decided to go with a minor surgery b/c i was tired of the pain. I will never be able to thank Dr. Krinicks enough for the quality of life he has given me. For anyone with knee problems, look no further! This place is the best!!!

When I broke my ankle I went to Seaport Orthopaedic. They took care of me timely and effectively. They even gave me great advice on how to follow up with some physical therapy excerisizes. I hope nobody breaks a bone, but if they do I highly recommend they come here.

I had a cyst which was laying on top of the nerves in my hand, making it very difficult to perform every day tasks. I went for surgery with Dr. Botwinick on a Thursday morning and was back to work on Monday! After the stitches were taken out I had full use of my hand and no more pain or discomfort. I would definitely reccommend this office to anyone who is having any type of orthopaedic problems!

Dr. Krinick had performed surgery on my shoulder 8 years ago, with great success. Recently I re-injured my shoulder and returned to him for an evaluation. Not only dId I receive the same quality of care as I did 8 years ago, he remembered my case without looking at my records, he remembered personal information that I had shared with him.

Words can not describe my experience with Dr. Krinick. After weeks of being in severe pain, i was given an injection in my shoulder which within 5 minutes I had instant relief. I would reccomend him to everyone that has a shoulder or knee problem without hesitation!!!

I am a patient of Dr. Krinick's, and before coming to the office I had so much pain in my knee that I could not even walk up one flight of stairs. After seeing Dr. Krinick, I found out I had a medial meniscus tear in my knee. Dr. Krinick sent me for physical therapy to strengthen my leg to prepare for surgery, had the surgery, and was up and walking within 2 days, and back to normal within 5 days. Dr. Krinick personally called me several times at home just to see how I was doing and if there is anything I needed. Now I am running up the stairs!!!!!.. and never felt better.

i was a patient of Dr. Krinicks four years ago. I was a 44 year old semi pro baseball player with a sports related knee injury. After two other consults with other physicians I saw Dr. Krinick.

With Dr. Krinicks quick evaluation, testing and diagnosis, I finally knew what was causing me extreme pain and preventing me from playing.

I had surgery on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in 2005 to repair my meniscus.I immediataly knew after the surgery that I would play again pain free.

I returned to work the following Monday after Thanksgiving, and was back playing ball 6 weeks later.

Thanks to the incredible care Dr. Krinick and his staff gave to me and the unsurpassed follow up care I recieved, I am still pain free 4 years later and living a full active lifestyle.

i would reccomend Dr. Krinick to anyone without hesitation!!

Stay away from Robert Krinick. I had torn cartilage (medial meniscus) in my knee and he was supposed to fix it. Within a month after surgery I was again in pain and couldn't do anything without my knee swelling, and a large lump had appeared on the outside (lateral) of my knee. I went back to see him he sent me for another MRI, the results indicated that there was a tear in the lateral meniscus and a meniscal cyst. Krinink acted completely shocked and said he 'never saw a cyst' but I had the original radiologist report that clearly said there was a cyst and tears. Then he wanted to put me on steriods to see if that would get rid of the cyst. I took the prescription, walked outside and called the reception desk to get my records. It took them 24 hours to get my records and when I got them the one thing now missing was the radiology report. He never asked for a copy of the first MRI films, he had just read the radiology report and said I needed surgery and obviously didn't bother to re-read it prior to surgery. I now know why quacks can stay in business as he presents himself as completely professional, competent, and empathetic. I had to find another surgeon to repair what he screwed up and repair what he didn't do. Both other surgeons I met with requested I bring all my films with me, but Krinick never asked. One actually showed me on the MRI films where the tear and the cyst were on the first MRI film and showed that they were still there on the second. Had Krinick bothered to review the film I might not have had to go through a 2nd surgery. My knee has never been the same, before the surgery I skied, ran, golfed, anything active, my life has changed. I never sued and should have. I'm posting this because I don't want this to happen to anyone else, do your research and always get a second opinion.
