$7.00 for a Coors Light draft. For an Irish Pub, that's ridiculous. The place is pretty small, there are some tables surrounding the bar which is in the center of the room and there are tv's on either side of the bar. Staff wasn't really that friendly. They have an internet jukebox but not much of a selection.

This place is almost good enough to become your favorite neighborhood bar if you can put up with the sometimes crowded nature from the after work rushand tourist overflow from Carnegie Hall. The bartenders and servers are always very nice and they carry a decent (but not overly extensive) selection of beers. There are a few TVs scattered around, but probably not enough if you want to watch multiple games at once. The food is generally good (especially the chicken fingers and burgers), but a few things are just so-so.

Pros: Friendly service, Pretty good food

Cons: Slightly cramped, A little pricey

The bar is old and wood, the beer is fabulous, and the atmosphere is great. We've frequented this bar many times and have even been given free drinks for being return patrons. I feel like we're the gang of "Cheers"

When I first started going to P.J. Carney's in the early 1980s, it was a cramped neighborhood pub that was a great place to spend a few hours in, enjoying good pub grub and excellent pints of Guinness. Since they've upscaled the place in 2001, I've only been there once, and that was probably the last time I'll ever visit. It's still cramped (even after expanding), but the tony decor and new menu just don't cut it. I felt like eating quickly & then exiting. What a shame: this was one of the best pubs in town; not anymore.

Pros: shoehorn bar
