This place can not fulfill the simplest requirement of honoring a reservation and the hostess is the worst I've ever had to deal with.
A few weeks ago the day before my reservation (made 2 weeks before) I called to confirm as they did not call me. They said they could not find it and gave me another one 1h earlier. I said fine but the surprise came when they asked us to leave because they had another reservation and did not leave us the choice. We were here to watch a game and could not do so. I just learned that a friend of mine had the same pbm and she even received a confirmation email.
The hostess lied on the phone saying she did not have it!!
The food was mediocre as was the service so definitely NOT WORTH IT!

I friend suggested we meet here for drinks. What a MISTAKE. I arrive, lock-up my bike curbside to a newly planted tree. I walk in with a smile and was immediately confronted by a woman flailing her arms and yelling at me. She demanded that I move my bike because I was "kiliing her tree". She exclaimed that she is the Manager. My bike has a Centermount Kickstand and stands completely erect. I placed a 1-lb U-lock around the tree, causing it no stress or pain. I tried to calmly and rationally explain this to her but she was just not listening. Out of courtesy to my friend, I proceeded to have drinks. The wine was good, but the service was poor, and when you're spending $10.00 on each glass of wine, you expect more from the staff. Strangely, there were also flies hovering over our table. It was almost like a Seinfeld episode. Bottom line, there are a plethora of other restaurants in the area that will welcome you and your business better. Oh, and on my way out, the manager made sure to get in one more rude comment, then wished us a good night.

Felix is Brazilian French fusion that makes it a standout for people in the mood to enjoy mojitos and eggs florentine while listening to high energy samba mixed house on a Sunday afternoon. Great crowd and serivce was good ... ignore the other reviews this place rocks

My friends and I made a reservation at 3pm on a Saturday (actual date was 16th of May '09). Two fellows were sitting at a table and were just talking and drinking up their cocktails. We were already standing in queue for 30 minutes after 3 o'clock, and we complained to the manager to which she replied: "these people are paying over 200 bucks". Suddenly the waiter went to their table, making them leave. So first they kicked the poor guys out and then they even p*ssed us off when we asked for why our table wasn't cleared at 3pm when it was supposed to be?! - This was probably a bad start, now you think it will get better?

Think again. But to make the long story short the food was okay, the service was bad. It took them hours to bring our food. The waiter did not even know who ordered which and he mixed it up.

At the end we were figuring out our bill. The waitress sarcastically asked us if we were having problems with the bill or was she really telling us to hurry and get out. Like the two poor people before us, a waiter also came to our table and said that there was a group watiing for the table so we had to leave. How RUDE is that?

If your plan is to go there - rather go McDees, their food is equally average, cheaper, waiters are friendlier, and you won't be thrown out after 25 minutes.

I could not agree more with the last two reviewers? comments and complaints. If I didn?t have a job stopping me from doing so, I would voluntarily stand outside of Felix and direct potential patrons elsewhere ALL day and night. A friend and I went there last night and were so disappointed we were tempted to just throw a $50 on the table without even waiting for the dawdling waitress to bring the check. The server spoke almost no English and had to ask my friend for his drink order FOUR times, (a vodka gimlet ? not exactly a feat of modern mixology) before walking away just shaking her head. Our food, which was brought to the table even before our water glasses were filled with dirty tap water, was abominable. His salmon tartare could not have looked, smelled or tasted less appetizing short of coming out of a Fancy Feast can. My miniscule chunks of burnt goat cheese were only marginally more edible. Do yourself a favor if in the neighborhood: Go to Lucky Strike or Cafe Noir, both on the same block, and both much much better.

Pros: Location

Cons: Also location -- close to much better places. Food, service.

Waiter was extremely rude from the moment we were seated. I ordered a cup of coffee, which was never refilled (neither were the glasses of water at the table). We had to ask for the bill 3 times--be prepared to pay in cash. Food was ok--there are many other restaurants in the city with much better food and infinitely better service.

The service really ruined the experience--for me to create an account to write a review...it was THAT bad.

In a city where being the exception is the only route to success, I sympathize with the challenges of proprietors of a mediocre restaurant whose only draw is location. The food is mediocre; the service the worst I have ever had the displeasure of submitting to. We told our waiter we had come to eat appetizers, drink, and sample the dessert menu. Before I chewed the last fry, another waiter came to take the empty plates. We asked to see a dessert menu. One of the waitstaff curtly refused us our dessert, suggesting our conception of a meal was nothing more than barroom ?munchy.? Frustratingly, upon trying to re-order dessert, our initial waiter re-iterated the restaurant?s need to free our two top (seating three). We should have just left. But this affront to our modest expectations of hospitality ignited within us an obstinate need to complete our meals as we had originally intended: with dessert. We noticed a smiling exception to the waitstaff who finally took our order. I found the manager and explained my consternation at the audacity of the waiter?s treating us like he was a bouncer at a college bar. Focused on cleaning his eyeglasses, he shrugged and mumbled something without making eye contact that didn?t sound like an apology but more like an admonishment for our concept of a night out, reminding me it was a Saturday night. I have never come across such a disregard of basic human hospitality and manners. I recognize the need to turn tables. But I also recognize what should be the overwhelming priority of hospitable decorum. Not only was it downright rude to threaten to kick us out of the restaurant, it doesn?t make any sense in terms of dollars. Happily, many Manhattan restaurants still prescribe to standards of service and etiquette, and we were able to salvage our Saturday night. I urge any readers of my paltry review to forego Felix?s average food and terrible service. In other words, don?t go there.

I stumbled upon this place with friends last Easter Sunday and couldn't have had more fun at the bar. So this year we decided to eat there as well and make a day of it. The location is cool, and the room is fun, even though space is tight. Our waiter was a total sweetheart but forgot our water, brought more cocktails when we didn't ask, etc. The food came out quick and it was not good. My fries were soggy and eggs benedict extremely runny. Ugh, I'm still thinking about it. They couldn't get our tab closed fast enough, but I understood that because the place was crazy busy. We closed the tab and continued to drink at the bar. That was fun, the bartender was very cute. Overall I think this place is "cool" in terms of its vibe and the fact that everyone there is French, but when it comes down to it, the service and food are absolutely nothing to write home about.

first of all, food was okay for regular brunch but there are so many other places to go for so much better service with that level of food in NYC. Simply, we were still eating when this waitress threw the check on our table without saying whenever you are ready or anything. She was just keep checking our table giving us this look to leave, finally i asked her if she meant us stop eating and leave and she said she just trying to turn table as much as she could but hello, your customer has not even finished their food and the food arrived 10 min ago.
just simply not worth it to go there and pay even a cent. forget this place. you have so many other options to choose around that area.

The place is packed on a Sat afternoon, but it is great for people watching. Personally, I really did like this place, the restaurant has a trendy feel and yummy food. Nothing too heavy, where you feel sick after leaving. The wines are great too... I recommend this place to everyone!

The service at Felix suffers due to the fact that the place is always packed with people. If your looking to go out and have a great time and socialize you found the right place. Best time to go is for weekend brunch. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are great.

Our server was absolutely horrible. So enticing is the decor and atmosphere, but don't be fooled. The music is just loud enough to drown out all of the buzz about how bad the service is. The busboy acted as our stand-in server, taking our order, bringing us water, bread and drinks upon our polite requestS. I really felt bad leaving any kind of tip. As retired waitresses, we never leave anything less than 20%. I really hope it all went to Miguel; he was nice. Maybe the servers were cast members of the Real World? Not even that cute....

Worst service and food experience since moving to NYC in 2 years. Only fact about this restaurant is pricey meal. The service was disturbingly below average and meal not worth finishing.....just wanted to leave. Looks like a cozy, friendly place to drop in but will never make that mistake again and felt compelled to warn other diners.

Everytime I have been there it is a disaster in the service, food quality has gone down and they make you wait an hour , run up a tab at the bar only for no table in sight.. We had a huge argument with them last time and refused to pay the bar tab if they didnt seat us and we were seated right away, but I swore never to go back there...

Here's the scene. World Cup. We make reservations 3 weeks in advance and walk in 5 minutes after the game starts to find we have no table. We get berated and lectured about being 5 minutes late. It takes 30 minutes to get coffee, 40 minutes to get our order taken and are told we can choose from 4 Items. We choose and 30 minutes later, we are served. Unfortunately, my meal is wrong. Our coffee was never refilled, the food was mediocre at best and the staff was rude and arrogant. 75.00 later (2 people) we decided we would never give Felix another dime. A prix fix menu and you still can't give us decent service? No thanks. Go elsewhere. These staffers are far too into themselves and each other to care about your dining experience.

Decent food BUT the service was horrible. We had reservations and were seated immediately - good start. But then we were completely forgotten. Requests for drinks were repeated over and over (including water); then after waiting well over an hour we were told that they forgot to put our order in! Their desserts were limited - I mean REALLY limited to 2 items (nothing like the online menu). And then, after being treated like we were invisible, after our bill was paid for, the hostess came down on our table like a hawk and told us that we had to leave immediately as there were others waiting. Others waiting. All of a sudden we were visible and not even given the courtesy of 5 minutes to get our coats on. I wonder if those people waiting had to WAIT well over an hour for their food, too!

We were surprised how packed it was on an august Sunday yet in 30 min we had a table. The eggs Florentine and the spinach with goat cheese are really good. Price was reasonable and the hip crowed realises a positive and vibrant energy. It's great for a sunny, breezy day as the breeze blows from all angles of the ceiling-tall window doors. It was a very enjoyable spontaneous experience for two gals looking to catch up on their news.

We had chosen with my wife and friends Felix for our Sunday brunch, and we were very pleased with the food (fantastic omelettes and eggs benedicte) and the ambience (lots of people, good spirit) ; so overall, a great place, better than many restaurants around. Don't forget your reservation if you plan to come on a Sunday.

The attitude of the hostess leaves something to be desired. As my friends and I chatted - trying to overcome the pure average-ness of the food - we watched the hostess overtly point out our table to the waitstaff and patrons. Our average experience plumetted to an utter lack of desire to ever return.

The service and food have become so poor in quality that after paying for the check yesterday, my boyfriend and I vowed never to eat at Felix again. Our waiter never came to ask how our food was...he never showed up again after taking our order, for that matter. The prices have gone up and some of good old standby entrees have disappeared from the menu. I will be sure to tell my friends not to visit as well.

The food is ok, ive had much better. After sitting through an entire meal with some of the rudest servers, the waitress first gave us someone elses bill-with someone else's credit card, then when we got our bill they had over charged us by over $50. The waiter was very rude and condescending when we pointed out the mistake, as if we couldnt add. Then when we asked for directions as we were leaving he accused us of leaving without paying, when the bill was on the table the whole time! Would never go back or recommend to someone who wasnt my enemy!

I have been to this restaurant alot times and enjoy it thoroughly. I love the mussels, goat cheese salad, cotes de provence wine, escargot, etc.....

However, I had an unpleasant experience the most recent time that I ate here: our party was placed next to a table of guys who were not eating but were standing and drinking (in the middle of the restaurant and not by the EMPTY bar area) and were bumping into our table and chairs. My party felt as if we were eating in the middle of a bar. The remainder of the restaurant was a quiet charming ambiance (including the EMPTY bar area) with the exception of our area. It was absolutely horrible. We requested that this group of men be moved to the bar area and were told that this is not possible because they are good customers.

Therefore, the service is not accomodating.

I went here last night with my book group and I must say that the service was pretty bad. The waiter didn't know the menu, didn't bring more than one item at a time, and put some orders in twice with the kitchen. We had to ask for water about 4 times before it finally came - which is ridiculous. Ironically though, our food came within about 10 minutes of placing our order in. The food was pretty basic - probably not worth the price. The decor is attractive, though the tables are dirty. Only go if you have a lot of time to waste - might be good if you go on a hot date where you don't notice the rest of the world around you. Otherwise, I say don't bother.

Absolutely Fabulous! If you're craving a Croque Monsieur, c'est la, mes amis! Great place to stop for lunch while shopping in Soho. Amazing frites, great poulet, Loved the Croque Madame, even the O.J. and the bottled mineral water was fabulous. Scene is great, esp. when it's warm and the windows are open. You must try!

Pros: Fun scene, Real French, Good service

Food is always good, service tends to go either way, but nothing lets you pretend you're in Paris like a semi-outside table in late summer. My best friend and I sat there for hours drinking wine and talking. A great place to people watch when the weather is nice.

Great place but bad service !!! I went there for lunch one year ago and the waiter was excellent (where did he go ???) this time the waiter "jeremy"as he said was so superficial.didn't care about us and have so much "attitude" .this guy should work in a dinner ,didn't even know the menu ,he couldn't explain me anythings ,a real nightmare..... But they have a good food, thanks to the chef.

Pros: food

Cons: service

Food is decent, it is not too expensive. The server ignored us the whole time. He was hanging out in the bar with other waiters. We asked other waiters for our check with no success. The bus boy finally brought us the check!!!

Though they do have good food and the location is great, the service is the worst I have ever experienced. We recently had the most arrogant, indifferent server I've ever seen, who waited 30 minutes to take our order and had to be called over for every little thing. the coffee took 20 minutes to arrive, and the bill was never picked up. I finally had to walk up and hand the bill to the hostess, and then with great glee wrote a big fat 0 on the tip line. On the way out, the hostess wished us a good evening, and I politely told her that our service was terrible. Her reaction? She scrunched up her nose, held up her hands and shrugged me off. I have been her many times but will never return. Don't waste your money.
