Should have known what we were in for when the elevator got stuck between floors. Then, when we asked to watch a ball game in progress, the manager insisted on keeping all the sets tuned to reruns of last year's slam dunk contest. Only when we threatened to walk out did we get the channel changed. When I got the check I began to regret having stayed. Even with a 2 for 1 coupon, it was terribly overpriced.

Pros: Our server was very nice and attentive

Cons: Overpriced lousy food. Poor service overall

This place is insanely expensive. Even with one meal comped, our two entrees came out to be $38 (w/tip). If you want to spend that kind of money don't go to a chain restaurant. It's just a tourist trap in Times Sq.

We got there and ordered our food toghether with some drinKs one of which was a Long Island Ice Tea drink and it was horrible asked the waiter to change it and it came back worst. The food was horrible I only ordered an onion soup and had cramps all night... They should close this place...I must say the waiter was friendly. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE...STAY AWAY...

My wife and i went to order drinks. She ordered a mixed drink and I tried to order a "malternative". The waiter didn't know what we were talking about, and neither did the bartender. (Please note, we've ordered these drinks at several different Friday's several times before.) We just got a potato skins appetizer, and several of them were horribly burnt to a crisp. We would have told our waiter, but he didn't stop at our table until at least 15 min after we had finished eating what was edible, not even to ask how things were going.

Message from TGI Fridays

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in New York, NY is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.
