Dr. Richard Funaro has been practicing Internal Medicine for over 20 years in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He is the former Assistant Director of Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. The most integral part of his practice is to ensure that each patient is thoroughly evaluated and treated with the best medical care possible. The office accepts most health insurances, has both AM and PM hours, and offers same day appointments. You will get his undivided attention and will always have a short wait time. In addition, Dr. Funaro believes that if a patient has a medical emergency, they should not be directed to an answering service. The doctor provides his patients with a direct phone line for emergencies outside of office hours and will always accomodate all of your medical needs.
I just moved to brooklyn recently and started to have terrible allergies for the first time in my life. I made an appt. with dr. Funaro and he was extremely nice and knowledgeable. he helped my allergy problem and even educated and explained why and how it occurs. i have never met a Dr. that was so thorough, knowledgeable and had such a great sense of humor as Dr. Funaro . his staff was super friendly and accommodating. a few days later i ended up in the ER at a hospital where he teaches as well. The ER was so accommodating and expedited everything due to the fact that he is my Dr. He even called to see how i was doing multiple times. i am so happy that i found this practice and if u r ever looking for a primary care Doc and want to be in the best hands then come to this practice i promise you wont regret it!
