I went here with my friends to see a movie a couple weeks ago. Except for the folks talking a few seats behind us, it was a nice time and we'll be going back soon.

Great mix of independent and mainstream movies. Easily stay a whole day theater hopping all for the price of a matinee. Standard seating, food and prices.
Big downside? It's at 42nd and 8th so expect the audiences to range from mature to immature. Also... it's crowded. Always. The pros, however, outweigh these cons. You just have to know what to expect and go on an off day.

Pros: friendly staff, huge portions
Cons: its so high up!!! lol
abbekommen's mistake was not realizing that when you go to movies specifically made for the dumbest people on the planet (i,e., SAW 5), you must expect to sit next to the dumbest people on the planet.\r

I regularly go to AMC 25 and
Pros: Many choices of films to watch; location; great seating
Cons: Too many sullen urban workers with attitude
My girlfriend and I wanted to see a movie, she suggested SAW 5 since it was Halloween. The Times Square AMC was the only place showing the movie. We got our tickets early in order to get good seats. We sat down and right before the

I went there as I work in a law firm right around the corner on 42nd street and it's very convenient for me, and I went on a Friday, late like after 12am and I love it. I love the screen, you can sit up front and it's not like you are

This theater is a disaster waiting to happen. I tried to see a movie here last night. We paid our eleven bucks each and then tried to get to the theater. There are 25 theaters here and only one thin escalater (24" wide) leading to them all

You'd think it'd be overly touristy, but its more ghetto than touristy. Expect your crowd to be hootin-hollerin before the movie, but I've seen good etiquette during the theatre for the most part. The seats are very comfortable,

Pros: Great theaters
Cons: Too big
Does America really want a multiplex of this size? Well, if it does, then I say put it in Times Square. Which is what AMC (and Loew's across the street) did. And unlike most suburban multiplexes, this many-roomed temple to movies doesn't

OK, so this movie theater has 25 screens. And they're all very comfy, with stadium seating etc. But the design is terrible. The place is a veritable maze of escalators. The way out funnels you the long way round, through the food court.
