I found an entire different experience at this UPS office.

Yes, the workers were yacking about the news of the day and trading opinions. They were joking, too. I didn't mind that at all...because they helped me

I had to mail many boxes to a museum. One worker showed me how to enter the information on their computers...they helped me with boxes made jokes and were throughly delightful. They made the process easy. Plus I forgot my receipts and one of the UPS men ran up the street after me!

I was shocked to read the 'bad' reviews from others.

Thanx for allowing us to vent.

Hi There!

Today I made the mistake of attempting to ship a package with the UPS on 43rd and 11th ave. I have never used them before but did lots of research and they seemed like a great place to use for sending something important. When I got there I noticed there were 2 workers in the main area and both were sitting down yacking loudly on there cell phones. To make matters worse they then got into a loud, intrusive argument with one another, while myself and another customer patiently filled out our information on the computer. We shared a look as in "can you believe the lack of professionalism". When I had finally printed out my mailing receipt and stood on line the lazy worker who was supposed to be at his post still sat down in his chair and took his leisurely time finishing his coversation. After several minutes had passed and the worker was still sitting I politely asked if anyone was working here-duh-HE WAS. He reluctantly got up and obviously not wanting to work hassled me through the questions about the package. I answered all but he still was rude. I then decided to take my package acrosss the street to FEDEX where the workers were attentive-NOT YAKING ON THEIR CELLS WHILE ON THE JOB-and I was taken care of in mere minutes. Whereas I had to wait and deal with the lazy staff of UPS. I will be using Fedex from now on.

When you call the 866pickups number they always tell you something different than the local office tells you. Around 5 times in the last two months I have walked ALL the way to 11th and 43rd, and three out of the five times there was an issue.
