I am on the market for a Street Glide. Did all my research and decided that, on paper at least, this is the bike I want. All I need is a demo to ride. As per HD's website, ALL dealerships are supposed to let you demo any ride. I called Cycle Stop and asked them how many Street Glides they have in stock. His reply "pleanty". So I asked "when can I demo one". He laughed. Yes, laughed. My response was, "so you expect me to drop 20k on something without even hearing it?" His response "we may be able to start it for you but that's about it". "Have a nice day", I replied. Called Harv's asked him the same question dreading the response. His answer "Certainly!!". No only that, he said he expects the 2011s in soon and will call me as soon as they get in. Cycle Stop, you should learn from these people. I live almost an hour from Harv's and only 20 min from Cycle Stop. Guess where I'm going. It's a nice ride out there also.

Pros: Good place to look at bikes because noone will approach you

Cons: Arrogant, not customer friendly, how are they still in buisn

The absolute worst customer experiences I have ever had...I've dealt with all kinds of motorcycle dealers and service people and these people are without a doubt the bottom of the barrell. I tried to make it work with Cycle Stop by going there 3 separate times, but each time got the same lousy treatment from sales staff, counter workers and the entire service department.

It might have helped if the people there were knowledgeable, but they are dumb and rude, so that is 2 strikes against them right out of the gate. If I have to spend my money at a dealer for sales or service it will definitely be at Stan's in Batavia, which is 40 minutes from me, but worth every minute not to be dealt with like I am doing them a favor by bringing them my bike for service. Cycle Stop has seen the last of my business and I would suggest to anyone that I know to stay away from that place - don't even buy a t-shirt there, they don't deserve a dollar of anyone's business. That is probably why their little annex closed down - can't win customers over by being a butt hole.

I went in there to buy my FIRST motorcycle. Starting with helmets...getting fitted was awkward and the girl who waited on me acted like she didn't want to be bothered. Very uncomfortable shopping experience. I bought the helmet and decided to come back another day. I was warned by many of my friends, but gave Cycle Stop the benefit of the doubt. Went back again, got a few more things...didn't even feel comfortable about buying a bike from them. I'll never return. Went to Stan's HD in Batavia...awesome customer service!!! I walked out with a Harley this time. Shame on Cycle Stop. They don't even deserve 1 star.

Pros: nothing

Cons: customer service....there is none

The arrogance and incompetence of the entire organization is only exceeded by their lack of customer focus. They do not call to update the status of your motorcycle in service, their ability to diagnose problems is horrendous, the lack of caring for a customer is obvious in the way they conduct themselves.
Each time my motorcycle was into their shop for warranty work it took over a month to fix, yes I said a month which in Rochester is damn near half the riding season.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate their sales and service a negative 2. It is hard to imagine people ever return there after the first bad experience. The only reason I went back is that they did not fix the problem the first time (total repair time 9 weeks).
Go to Harv's in Macedon or Stan's in Batavia. If you live south east of Rochester try Geneva. I think if I broke down in front of their shop I would push the bike to Geneva on foot.

Pros: Not a one

Cons: Most everything, hard to list them all

I have tried Cycle Stop many times over the years and every time I have been there it has been a negative experience. I tried to buy my motorcycle there and was ignored. I brought my new motorcycle to Cycle Stop since it was close to work for service (I bought at Hollink) and had a terrible experience. They over filled the oil, incorrectly diagnosed the charging system (which stranded me the next day). Did not follow my simple requests properly, it took three weeks for a warranty repair and their service troll Brandon was arrogant every time I called for an update.
I ride in a club, every individual I talked to truely avoids this place with a passion.
I guess if you own a Harley, have tons of money, another bike to ride while yours is in the shop and like to deal with overpaid arrogant people, this is the place for you. Even the DMV is a joy compared to this place.
Go to Hollink in Spencerport!!!!

Cons: Poor attitudes, poor salesmen, incapable service

Wow, reading these reviews brings back a really bad memory. Five years ago was the last time I was in Cycle Stop. It was to buy a battery which I paid too much for, had to come back the next day for (they had to filled and charged it) only to have it dead after one day in my bike. So, I took out the battery, drove back (in my car) to get a replacement and was told that they could not just give me another one because it may be my charging system that was not working. They told me to go home, check my charging system and, if it was OK, bring back the battery and they would give me another one. I did just what they told me to do. I reinstalled the battery, jump-started my bike, put a voltmeter on the battery and it was reading over 14 volts ?? the charging system was OK. I took the battery back out, drove back (in my car again) and was now told that I needed to bring my bike in because they did not believe my diagnosis. This is where things went from bad to worse. I asked to talk to the owner and was greeted with the same arrogance that everyone else seems to be complaining about (obviously, the culture is based on leadership). The owner told me that there policy is that they need to check my bike??s charging system before they would replace my battery. I told him that I was instructed by his service department to go home and check it myself. The owner then told me that they should not have done that and I need to bring back my bike. So I asked him, when drive back home (in my car), reinstall the dead battery, jump start my bike, ride all the way back (with my wife following in the car in case I need a jump start), have his ??techs? check my charging system and it is OK what he was going to do for me for my aggravation? He looked at me and said, ??Replace your battery.? Now I got really mad and very loud in the showroom. So I asked him again, what will he do for me for my aggravation since it was not my fault that I did exactly what his service guys told me to do and now I have to waste more time to prove that the battery is defective? He just gave me a dumb look and repeated, ??Replace your battery?. Using an even louder tone, I told him that this is the worst place I have ever done business with and after I get a new battery, I will never set foot in his establishment again. Needless to say, after returning with my bike, having the charging system check to be OK, I was given a new battery (which served me well for several years) and I have never been back. Since then I take the extra time to go to Hollink Motorsports in Spencerport to get any parts or service performed. I have encouraged all of my friends to never go to Cycle Stop. Unfortunately, some have gone anyway (because of convenience) only to be as disappointed and discouraged as I was.

Pros: NONE

Cons: EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM

Several days ago I stopped in at Cycle Stop to purchase a few Harley parts. Because of past problems with poor customer service attitudes, I only shop at this store for parts that I'm in a hurry for and don't have the time to drive out of town to my usual supplier. An incident occurred this day that made me decide that I would never do business with them again.

The store had all of the parts I needed except for 1 and after paying for my parts I asked the counterman if he could give me the phone number of another local Harley shop so I could call them and see if they had the last part. I was told No, he wasn't going to give me the number, and with a snotty voice asked if I would ask a K mart employee for Walmart's phone number. I was stunned at this attitude and told the man that it was common practice for a business to call a competitor to help out a customer needing a part they didn't have in stock. To this he replied that I was wrong, this isn't the way companies do things. I then told him that the Harley shop I normally deal with in Arkport had in fact on several occasions called Cycle Stop to check on a part for me. To this he replied that it was nice that they had the time to waste. I'd like to add that at the time of this incident, there were 2 guys behind Cycle Stop's parts counter and I was the only customer there.

From now on I'm going to drive to Arkport, Batavia or Macedon to spend my money. It's a nice ride to either place and The counter people there are friendly and appreciate a customer spending his money in their shop. Cycle Stop apparently has so much business that they can afford to be Rude and unfriendly to their customers.

I had my yamaha R6 in for repair since the engine was heating up. I waited two weeks to get the bike in. And once I did, I waited 4 business days to be told that the thermostat needed to be replaced (which I already knew). During these 4 days I called in 3 times to ask about the status and everytime I was told someone would call back and no one ever did. Even when I told the guy I wanted to pick up my bike since they were taking too long, he did not even bother to offer to get it fixed asap. I am very dissappointed and will not be recommending Cycle Stop services to anyone else.

I walked into this place excited and ready to purchase a dirt bike, and left hardly ten minutes later frustrated and annoyed. The salesperson I talked to could've been a little friendlier, and I knew the price he was asking was unfair (I had a dealer invoice report for the bike which, by the way, is a very helpful thing to get your hands on before you buy). He adamantly refused to offer me anything lower than the list price (!) for the bike, and I eventually got fed up and left.

I would not recommend bothering with this place. There are better deals to be had elsewhere.
