I've been here a couple of times, found it on a whim while strolling the new neighborhood a year or so ago. The lady who does the card reading is named Sonia. She's very on point! First time there, I went in, waited a bit for her to finish with the previous person. Without giving her any details but my full name, she was able to describe my ex boyfriend and the exact place he ran off to. This can sound a bit vague and I know there are a lot of skeptics out there, but considering my bf wasn't latin or white or black... he actually a dark skinned south east asian (nothing major, but for a latin woman raised in a latin neighborhood, it's a bit out of the norm you have to admit!!!)
She also spoke about my working situation, and stuff that has actually come to pass in the last year. Needless to say, I was very impressed and amazed. I've been back a few times, and although she can't tell me what is exactly going to happen day by day, she has been able to give me general but very direct things. For example, taking not one, but two vacations this past year (which obviously in this economy, I would have never even dreamed of doing, but lucky things happened and so I went away twice!). Also, she mentioned a promotion at work and then me leaving that job a few weeks later (which one would think, if I'm getting a promotion, WHY on earth would I leave a few weeks later!... but I kid you not, that's exactly what happened! I got offered a better job a few weeks later). The place is a bit small and very crowded with statues/icons/candles and herbs for sale. It's also a bit old/weird looking, but for those of us who grew up with these shops all around, it's no big deal. The cost for a card reading was only $25, and she does a mix of traditional tarot and the spanish style card reading. This rate is great since doing a spiritual reading anywhere in NYC will run you anywhere from $60-$200! The note on the door also says palm readings are available, but I haven't done that yet. I prefer the card readings since they are more detailed. Anyway, I highly recommend stopping by. And I'm not so sure her English is great, so might be a good idea to bring a translator if you don't speak Spanish
