This is not the first renovation for my apt. so I have had some prior experience with hiring a contractor and managing a project. This is, however, the first project whereby everything was made easy for me and I was totally stress-free.
From the moment I stepped foot into their showroom, I was greeted warmly and they really answered all my questions and at the same time, I didn't feel pressured at all. Made an appointment for a consultation and I felt lucky that Ben Pitt was my designer. Ben listened to what I wanted and offered his suggestions for what would make sense especially for my super tiny kitchen. Yoel Piotraut was the project manager and he was totally on board from the start. Yoel communicated with me with any problems but other than that, project completed in less than 3 weeks and within budget.
My instructions were easy, make my kitchen beautiful and that was what Ben and Yoel delivered.

We were extremely pleased with our recent MyHome experience. We did a gut renovation of our antiquated bathroom. Our designer, Ben Pitt, skillfully designed a new bathroom that integated all of our wish-list items into a small space while keeping to the proposed budget. We were offered a wide selection of materials and styles and ended up with a bathroom that is both extremely functional and gorgeous. Our project manager, Adi Kraus, made sure that the construction work was done efficiently and on time and kept us informed as the project progressed. The workmen who undertook the construction were courteous and made every effort to keep the place as clean as possible even while construction was ongoing. I would definitely use MyHome again for future projects.

While I had debated about the idea of renovating, once I purchased my apartment there was no getting around it. It needed a totally new kitchen and bath as well as newly stained floors and a complete paint job. MyHome handled everything from start to finish. They assisted with picking materials and paint colors and yet were open to my own ideas and purchases. During the renovations when things came up out of the realm of their responsibilities (change a light fixture) they were more than willing to assist. They stayed on time (almost) and on budget -- hard to find these days, especially in New York City. Very pleased with the end product and anyone who sees it is quite impressed (especially once they see the before photos!).

We ended up at MyHome because it is a local, in the hood
resource. Well, there was no need to travel any further.
Andrew helped us through lots of choices, was knowledgeable, patient and accessible. He returned calls and emails right away and quoted fair prices. I believe he always made the effort to do the best for us. We're glad our kitchen tile, sink, faucet and lighting were all purchased through MyHome.

This was a really great remodeling experience. My Home did exactly what they said they'd do, exactly when they said they'd do it, for exactly the amount of money they said it would cost. They handled all the paperwork with the building so it was completely seamless from my perspective. And they kept my house as clean as they possibly could. And the kitchen is just wonderful. I am truly shocked to have had such a positive experience when you go into major renovation you always worry about all those bad contractor stories! But I wholeheartedly recommend My Home to anyone who wants work done.

I delayed renovating my kitchen for a long time because everyone I knew who had done a remodeling job in their Manhattan apartment seemed to have a nightmare story.

Well my experience with MyHome was a pleasure from beginning to end. I have recommended them to everyone and anyone who is looking for a contractor. Not a single regret or complaint - I completely and unconditionally recommend MyHome.

From the design staff who listened to my design aesthetic as best I could articulate it, asked the right questions, and synthesized it all to help me quickly find the color palette and design choices to the exemplary customer service before, during and after the project was completed - I cannot say enough about how pleased I have been,

Months after the project was completed, I have contacted the Project Manager and he has replied back within hours of receiving my email with an immediate response. And when my question required a home visit it was usually scheduled within 24 hours. this actually happened almost one year AFTER the project was completed. A cabinet panel needed to be replaced which they did without hesitation.

You would be crazy not to meet with them and I strongly urge you to engage MyHome as your contractor!

We are so happy with our new kitchen. Ben and Yoel did a fantastic job and made themselves available to answer all of our questions and offer expert advice. We would most certainly use them again.

if you read about this company please note that they are reckless. Are involved in litigation that was avoidable. Were reckless in obtaining permits and there was no supervision of unlicensed contractors. Please check out who will actually be doing work. Horror stories. A construction company needs to have contractors not designers.

We have worked with several contractors over the years in Manhattan and suburbs and never have we had a better experience then with Ben Pitt and Yoel Piotraut. From start to finish they were true to their word, stayed on budget, completed project before expected date, and did all the work in a most professional and exemplary manner. Even when we threw them some curves by changing paint colors and other aspects for our kitchen renovation in the middle of the job, they worked with us to do the job precisely as we asked. Could not say more about them.

When we decided to re-do our kitchen, we were completely intimidated by the process. MyHome, and especially Ben Pitt, made it a fun and easy process. Ben came to our apartment and shared ideas and took measurements, then we met with him in the showroom and picked out everything in one place, and a month later the project started. Ben did a great job walking us through everything, managing the budget and timeline very effectively, communicating with us regularly, and following up with any concerns. Having one person manage everything was so great, not to mention that the price was guaranteed! 2 years later, we are just as happy as when it was first completed.

Ben Pitt, a world-class designer with MY HOME, was a pleasure to work with. Ben gave my wife and I many choices for accomplishing the unique and beautiful renovation we were after. The MY HOME construction team made turned the designs into reality. We enjoy our renovation immensely every single day.

The very few follow-up tweaks we needed were handled quickly, politely, and thoroughly.

My Home worked on both my kitchen (new counter-top/back-splash and new appliances) as well as bathroom (complete gut renovation). My Home (Lior was my contact) was very helpful with the design and selection of materials meeting some very specific requirements (ex: tub size and depth). My Home took care of any issues that came up quickly and professionally and I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks to all the My Home staff for their work and consideration in minimizing the impact of the renovation to my schedule!

I have partially or completely re-modeled apartments several times and have had less than satisfactory experiences with my contractors. They have generally started out just fine, but by the end of the job have gone way over the time promised and the price. Also the quality was not what was hoped for.

Ben Pitt and My Home were the happy exception. I had priced my kitchen renovation with contractor's who had worked for friends on the upper west side. After interviews and estimates from 4 I couldn't get my 2 choices to commit to a time. I, also, in all cases, had to do all the legwork of designing and ordering everything. That is when I went to MyHome. They have a well stocked showroom and Ben was able to help us quickly make our choices. His estimates came in tied with the lowest I had been able to get from independent contractors, and he was going to do all the ordering delivering to my apartment. And he said he could do it in the least amount of time of any of my other choices.

The job finished sooner than the four week estimate. It exceeded our expectations and former experience. And, all final requests for fixing details that we asked for were done quickly, professionally and better than we had hoped for.

We recommended Ben and MyHome to friends, who also redid their kitchen and dining room. They too were very pleased with all aspects of the work.

I thought MyHome did a great job. So many companies out there are a definite scam. These guys are for real. They did everything from the design to the approval process with my coop board. When there were unkowns in the walls or the floors we were able to deal with it and make changes without hurting the integrity of the design. Renovations can be high stress: these guys made it as easy as possible and the results were fantastic.

MyHome kitchen have recently remodelled our kitchen and have done an amazing job! They have changed our entire living space for the better and WAY exceeded our expectations...and that was only the review of the design and the final, finished kitchen! It looks fantastic and has been finished to a very high standard. We are overjoyed with it! As far as the actual installation goes, our team (the overseeing contractor was a lady called Bev)was punctual and extremely friendly throughout the process, taking great care of the installing the kitchen, but also the existing furniture in our apartment. There was a person, however, that I feel went 'above and beyond' their role, and helped us out enormously, replying to any queries within minutes of them being asked. He is called Ben Pitt, and is the Senior Remodelling Consulant. He made the entire experience completely stress free and deserves recognision...I would highly recommend to anyone reading this post that you insist on Ben being your consultant. It will be the best move that you can make Re: Kitchen Renovations! Thank you MyHome!

I wanted to hire a contractor for my bathroom renovation where I could buy material and labor in one place so there could be no fingerpointing and MyHome was a great choice. Ben Pitt was a talented and easy designer to work with who was also sensitive to my budget requirements. Adi Kraus was a responsive and responsible project manager. The workers showed up on time and kept the workspace as neat as possible under the circumstances and actually finished the job ahead of schedule.

In May of 2008, we met with a designer at My Home US home renovation center in Paramus NJ to discuss what would be involved in a kitchen/laundry remodel in our historic row home in downtown Jersey City. My Home presented itself as a first class, full service renovation company taking the client from idea through full execution of the project taking care of every step along the way. We were impressed with the showroom, the variety and quality of the materials used and the professional credentials and experience of it staff. What we experienced was the complete opposite!! We paid MY Home a premium price for a first class renovation because we wanted the best service and materials and none of the agony and work that goes along with a kitchen remodel. My Home promised to take care of everything. The budget ballooned out of control and the amount of mistakes and poor quality of work was equally outrageous. Our designer disappeared from the country at the start of our project. Although their marketing literature states that once you sign the contract anything they failed to include would be provided at their cost, meaning all costs are locked. Week after week they came to us with "change orders", things they didn't include in the contract that they were now asking us to pay for. These were not small things that were miscellaneous in the grand scope of the design; these were major oversights that a seasoned renovator should have budgeted for. The final straw that lead us to fire My Home was when they installed our radiant heat flooring incorrectly. Basically they created a short by stapling through the heating mat and when our numerous requests to test the mat before laying very expensive tile went ignored we found out that it didn't work properly after the tile was completed. They did try to get it to work by bypassing the ground protection, which would leave us vulnerable to electrical fire (we discovered this after hiring an independent home inspection and sought legal advice). We stopped work on the project because the problems were outweighing the benefit and they hid them from us along the way. This company completely misrepresented themselves to us in person and in their brochure and we were not given the design we were promised, just a poor inferior version of it. Almost every material we ordered from them was ordered incorrectly. The excessive duration for this project is directly related to the poor communication, poor quality of work, and numerous mistakes along the way. We could never get the kitchen and laundry we were promised unless we started over. To top it off they had the nerve to take us to arbitration and put a lien on our property because we with held their last payment. Fortunately for us the arbitrator ruled in our favor and we only had to pay a small fraction of the balance that was actually owed them. We have since hired outside contractors to fix their mistakes and finish the project properly, wherever possible.

We used MyHome to remodel our kitchen this summer. Very happy with the results of the job. From the design process to the actual instalation, they were very helpful (and very patient with my neurotic perfectionism!), and were happy to answer any questions that arose during the process. They always returned our calls and e-mails promptly.

Aside from being responsive to our needs, we were impressed with the craftsmanship of the completed job. Our new kitchen looks great and is MUCH more functional for our family.

My husband and I hired My Home Renovation to install new vinyl siding on our home almost 2 years ago. We selected the top-of-the-line product to in hopes to increase the value of our home and for energy efficiency. After a few months, we noticed a cosmetic issue with the siding and while still under warranty contacted them for repair. After a few months of runaround, we were told to contact the warranty company. We did. Again, after months of runaround, they notified us that the product we paid for was NOT the product that was installed on our home! We, again, contacted My Home to resolve this issue to no avail. Only after sending a certified letter to the owner of the company were we contacted. He admitted to us that indeed it was not the correct product but instead of offering to replace it - offered to "give us added value" by means of another service - which after on-line research is a DIY project that would cost just over $100. We were not going to be duped again. We requested the product we paid for be installed on our home. They have yet to do so and have filed a case with better biz and have contacted a consumer fraud lawyer to file suit against My Home.

I rate this company ZERO stars.

We had our kitchen done by MyHome and we were very satisfied. The design really became alive with the quality and workmanship. We were very happy with the end result and during the process we found them to be very attentive to any question or problem we came across. Phone calls were always returned and most importantly if there were issues (which were few) they were resolved immediately.

We completely gutted our Kitchen and MyHome made the whole experience easy. They return phone calls within minutes and when asked to come my house to discuss issues it was always at our convience. They came up with creative ideas that we never thought would work in our kitchen. Loir and his staff were the most professional we have ever dealt with and we will definitely be calling them when it is time to up our bathrooms.

Pros: creative and beautiful work

I was taken care of the minute I stepped into MyHome's showroom. Their decorators helped me select the perfect new floor and paint; the architects helped me perfect my design; the legal department assisted me with my coop board and managing agent; the construction workers answered all my questions when I visited the site. In fact, I was told the work would take 3 weeks to complete and there were no delays that cost me inconvenience or additional money. For the first week, I left the country for vacation and called my doorman to find out how things were going in my apartment and my building and among my neighbors while I was away. The doorman told me they had not arrived and I was upset because I was spending time and money out of my apartment to give total access to it to them; it turned out that the workers were there, working, but that they were so quiet and neat, no one in the building even noticed them.

The costs were exactly as they predicted; there were no "hiddens" or "extras" and I was able to adhere to their payment schedule. The work is absolutely gorgeous and I have been showing my newly renovated apartment to my neighbors now for the past 2 years since the job was completed - word of mouth between neighbors who have seen the work to others who want to see it..all have praised it.

I wish I had a bigger apartment so that I could call MyHome for more renovations!!

We converted a 1/bd,1/bath into a 2/bd,2/bth coop complete gut renovation -- electrical, plumbing, new kitchen, new baths, floors, built-ins -- everything (except the closets) were purchased and installed by MYHome. As this is a pied-a-terre, we had to work with them from our home remotely and were often not on the site to supervise. No problem! Communication is quick and problems were solved expediently. I would gladly recommend MYHome..

A year ago my husband and I bought a two bedroom apartment that needed some work. We decided to completely renovate the kitchen, redo the molding in the entire apartment, paint the entire apartment, rewire, etc. Basically we touched everything but the bathrooms. MyHome did an incredible job from start to finish. A designer helped us in the beginning to decide exactly what we wanted our space to look like. He even went with us to the quarry to pick out our countertop!! Since we gutted the entire kitchen there were lots of decisions to be made. Then the company assigned a project manager to the project to ensure everything ran smoothly...which it did! We have heard horror stories related to contractors in this city and to know that our renovation happened without a hitch is nice. We couldn't have been happier with the work and the customer service of MyHome. We will certainly use them again when we decide to redo our bathrooms!

My Home took care of everything when we decided to remodel the kitchen in our coop. MyHome dealt with the coop board and getting the plans approved so there was no hassel or stress for us. They were able to design, get approval and complete our dream kitchen all within record time. The workers were always on time and the designer was always available to us if we had any questions or concerns. The timeline we were given was dead on.
We are using Myhome again to remodel our bathroom.

I recently went into the myhome location in the city and i have a couple of issues.First off i was ignored by the employees that were in the showroom and when they finally got around to asking me if i needed help they were very nasty. I put all that aside and decided to do a kitchen with them,when it was delivered the cabinet quality was not good at all pieces were missing and cabinets were scratched,they were not easy to talk to about this situation infact they were quite rude.this was over 6 months ago and this is not a custom cabinet line.it appears they sit on their jobs and milk you for any additional costs.not wort it.

I chose working with Myhome after meeting with 3 other contractors. They were all either unprofessional or over priced. The Myhome representative knew exactly how to tackle my project (2 bedroom/2bathroom/kitchen complete renovation on the Upper East Side) and gave me a reasonable price for labor. They weren't the least expensive but I didn't want to take the chance of a cheap contractor either.
The designer from MyHome sat with me to design both bathrooms and kitchen and did a marvelous job at it! I get so many complements!!!
MyHome provided all the materials for my project and I didn't need to do any leg work with my super busy schedule. They took responsibility for all the process of purchasing/delivery and all the head ache.
The process of being approved by my building was very easy, they are licensed and insured and were approved with no problem.
Renovation took a while - maybe 3 months, but that's exactly what I was told so no surprises. Of course it was messy and dusty and things came up during the process but I doubt there's anyone out there that went through a renovation without any of that! Every issue that came up was eventually resolved and my apartment looks amazing!!!!!!!!

Pros: Labor, materials and design with one company

i live in NJ and had MyHome come out and give me an estimate on a kitchen and bath renovation project. I had 4 other contractors do the same and eventually decided to go with MyHome for obvious reasons:
1. They have 3 locations
2. The price wasn't bad in comparison to what I was getting as an end product
3. The have a 5 year warranty
4. They have a process and are a well organized company
5. Wide selection of materials
6. Helpful staff and customer support
By the time the project was done I was happy with everything - yes - there were problems and quirks along the way but doesn't every renovation project have them - it's not an exact science and both my wife and I understood that from the get go - it was very clear that this is not a "fun" process because of everything that was involved. In he end we got everything we wanted and then some. We have a beautiful and functional kitchen and an amazing and comfortable bathroom that we can be proud of.
In my book MyHome outdid themselves in every aspect - the quality of materials and work was outstanding. We did have to wait 2 extra weeks for kitchen cabinets but it wasn't a big deal. We had a great remodeling consultant by the name of Mortiz who design both our beautiful kitchen and bathroom and John did and outstanding job of overseeing the project as it developed. Everybody was nice, good spirited and good heated and we have no desire to look backward - we made the right choice!
If you're easy going and understanding about home renovation then MyHome is the right company for you. It's well worht the extra cash to have someone do all the leg and paper work for you (both my wife and I are busy professionals) and i believe that it saved as time and money anyway. The key is to lower your expectations because it's a tedious process - then you'll be happy for sure!

Pros: fantastic--exactly as they said it would be

I wanted to write a review of Myhome after such a nice experience. I am not an employee or contractor, but a wife and mom of 2 babies living on the UWS. We asked MyHome to renovate our 2 bathrooms simultaneously last summer, under the deadline of the arrival of my second baby. Therefore, no room for late completion! They organized the work so well and in such a short length of time, I wasn't sure that we could pull it off. I ordered a lot of the supplies myself but left the difficult things like tiles and plumbing fixtures to MyHome. Needless to say, thanks to Yvonne, everything arrived on time and the contractor was great. He completed the job weeks ahead of time (there was a buffer in case of problems) and I was kept up to date almost daily via email or phone. We were never without a working bathroom the entire time which was a great bonus. As each stage was completed I did my own inspection and if I wasn't entirely happy with something, then our project manager would let the contractor know and it would be taken care of. Like every contruction job there are things that are not 100% but I would say that MyHome got it very close and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Also, we know that they guarantee their work for 5 years so that gives us great peace of mind
