.

we really had to search out this restaurant...........kind of off the beaten path.
inside is a cute little bistro with a very small dining room and slate countered bar. the host, a beared gent, is friendly and polite and quickly seated us.
the server was polite, attentive but a little stiff. she had to read off her special for the evening a give us the list of things the kitchen was out of.....for shame! i could expect that of specials, but not for items listed on the dinner menu or wine list.
the food was delicious from start to finish. creative, unique and attractivly presented. i had the tuna "nachos" for my appetizer. i couldn't believe the amout of the lightly marinated raw tuna they gave me! tons! i would have been delighted with less, but overjoyed! the seaweed salad that accompanied this appetizer was almost non-existant and the fried wonton crisps tasted like they were fried up days earlier in old oil and tasted off, so i avoided them and gobbled up the lush mound of tuna!!
the overwhelningly large salad too, was much bigger than i thought i would have received for the minor 7 dollar price tag.......the dressing was a little on the light side, but delicious and garnished with a little triangle of phyllo wrapped cheese.....
the oil poached arctic char was buttery soft and melted in my mouth. the vegetables, crisp and fresh, the crispy potatoes were a bit over fried, but good.
my dessert was simple and a delightful end to a delicious dinner.
cocktails are well prepared and presented. some minor criticisms on the food are just that, minor. the service was attentive but a bit chilly
i also think that the dishwashers and kitchen staff that walked through the dining room to catch a glass of soda pop from the bar would have been better served if the drinks were taken back to them or that they changed their uniforms into something a bit more presentable.
THIS IS A WONDERFUL RESTAURANT NOT TO BE MISSED! WITH LITTLE POLISHING WOULD BE 5*'s!!

Pros: cute, cozy atmoshere.....inventive menu. try the movie & a meal combo!

Cons: service could have been a bit warmer, ambient music needed.

Excellent service. Comfortable, yet sophisticated ambiance. Food is based on the tradition of fine food, yet is experimental..so one does not become bored, but can always be sure it will be delightful food. Sean and Amy, the owners are wonderful, young, creative good people..their values and nature shines through the integrity of Willow. Willow willow-ful!

Willow is very nice and serve elegantly prepared dishes. However like many Ithaca restaurants it is getting to be very expensive and should you actually be hungry, you'd best fill up at CTB or Purity before you dine here. You'll be out for well over $100 for a couple with wine, dessert and tip.

Pros: Parking is easy. Fall Creek location is close to everything.

Excellent. The best value is the dinner and a movie deal where you get a 3-course meal and a movie ticket for $25 on weeknights. The menu is limited, but the chicken dish I had was outragously good. A shitake glaze with greens and a celeriac mash. That, plus salad, dessert and a movie? We couldn't have done better in terms of value at home!
