Ratings_icons A Different Take on Food

Tula Kitchen is a mix of restaurant and bar. I like the atmosphere and often feel like I am in any other place but Bay Shore when inside. The food is on the avant garde side and quite tasty. Having dined there twice, I would certainly go back.

Eating at Tula's Kitchen was a great time! Went with family and ate some great new things. Drinks were ok, portions were fair and the staff was very friendly & accomodated all our needs while dining. I would recommend this place to others who are interested in trying something different.

Ratings_icons Disappointing Food

I wanted to love this place but would not go back. The atmosphere is really lovely, funky and warm. A city restaurant feel which is nice. I was excited to try their vegetarian food but everything we ate was just blah. Underseasoned and just not special. And for the price, not worth going back. Maybe the non-veggie food is better? Give it a try.

Ratings_icons A Gem Discovered on a Bay Shore Corner

Just when we were ready to give up on dining out as an artistic experience, we discovered Tula Kitchen. The menu is so diverse, and filled with excellent ideas, that it's a good thing there is a nice bar to order from (and not just Chai tea to help you decide.)
The Medditeranean Platter For Two is a complete meal for three or four. The salads are stacked high with delectable treats, and the seafood is prepared splendidly.
No one is screaming at a game on a TV set here, and the music is hip. This is an establishment that is friendly to the Earth that feeds us, and to we who are fed. Prices are moderate and portions are plentiful. In fact, it reminded me of dining at the home of Punjabi friends who treated their guests with as wonderful a generosity.as we received at Tula Kitchen.

Pros: Ecclectic menu, friendly and warm service and cocktails, too

Cons: The plates are piled too high with delicious food

Ratings_icons My Most Favorite Veggie Restaurant

I love this place. Jackie the owner is an amazing cook, and all of the staff is such a pleasure to be around. Everyone is helpful. The drinks are amazing. Ask for the special cosmo..the bartender is great. Everything from the special hummus and salsa dips to the seared tuna and veggie dishes are wonderful. The vegan ice cream is the way to end it all on a high note.
Great dinner near the water in Bayshore!! perfect summer spot. Makes being a vegetarian, fun!

Pros: Best Seared Tuna

Ratings_icons Eat and Be Satisfied

Tula Kitchen's food is AMAZING, and I hardly ever say that anything is amazing because the truth of the matter is that many food chains out there have horrible food. The food at these restaurants may look good but it tastes horrible, and if the food looks horrible you can just forget about it. I need say no more. However, I was relieved when I bit into my food at Tula Kitchen and the food was well seasoned. I am the meat and potatoes kind of girl, and Tula Kitchen offered a variety of healthy meat specialties. Not only is the food great, Tula Kitchen has that modern feel to it, and in today's world image is definitely a factor. I used to say that if a restaurant looks too trendy then the food will probably be a disappointment. Well, you can't blame me because every restaurant that I stepped into that looked trendy had horrible tasting food. In Tula Kitchen's case, the food is great AND trendy. By the way, Tula Kitchen's food is not seasoned to the point that you become nauseous. I know that many of us have been to those restaurants where the food is flavorful to the point that you don't want to eat it anymore! Tula Kitchen's food is an experience of true balance, not too bland and not too salty. The owner knew exactly what they were doing when they named their restaurant Tula Kitchen. The word Tula, which means balance, is true to its word in everything at this restaurant.

Ratings_icons Tula Kitchen is all around great!

Tula Kitchen is definitely a great restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I felt right at home. I went the other night with some friends, and we sat at the bar chatting for awhile while we enjoyed a few drinks. The bartender was friendly and made quite good drinks. When we sat down, our server was just as friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. (it was our first time there so we had some questions.) I got the chicken kebabs, which were moist and favorful. I would definitely get them again, although everything I tried was excellent. (we all shared.) I would recommend Tula Kitchen to anyone looking for a great restaurant to try.

Ratings_icons New favorite place to eat

Tula's food was outstanding and the restaurant is beautiful. It is one of the few places that can truly say it serves healthy food without sacrificing taste or satisfaction. The almond crusted chicken was tender and delicious and the greek salad was very well put together. There is also a bar that makes killer martinis. The atmosphere was warm and intimate: a great place to go on a romantic date or with a group of friends. Tula is even family friendly! The menu has something for everyone and definitely does not taste like you are eating food thats actually good for you (which all of it is!).

Pros: Food, people, atmosphere

Cons: NONE

Tula Tula Tula...you are magificent. To start.. I am not a vegitarian although a good portion of the dishes are at this exceptional restaurant. The food is fabulous. I love the Turkey Meat loaf. The chicken kebobs are a close second. The atmoshere and decor are as good as the food. From what i am told by the owner Jackie, the inspiration for the decor inside Tula came to her in a dream. Romantic? Absolutely! Relaxing? Absolutely! This is just a great gem here on Long Island. I believe anyone can find a delicious meal on this menue, regardless of tastes. Give Tula a try...you will not leave disappointed!

Pros: Everthing. Prices and food are great

Cons: None

Tula Kitchen is so good. The chef prepares every meal so well. There is a full vegan/ vegetarian menu as well. The fish is fresh and so tasteful, and the other choices looked just as good. We had a wonderful experience here...the french martini's are so good they will make your night complete. This place is full of smiles, amazing decor, and over all an experience that you will remember.

Pros: EVERYTHING!!!!

Cons: Nothing.

Tula Kitchen is something really special. The food, the people, the nutritious selections, the atmosphere... everything is as it should be... balanced and perfect. Jackie, who is the owner and the chef of this Bay Shore restaurant has the best smile around. She makes you feel welcome, and has created a menu that will satisfy anyones cravings. The town around Tula Kitchen is really fun to walk in. Tula Kitchen has a great bar, definetly a fun place to come to on the way back from the Hamptons or Fire Island.
