Awesome service, love the atmosphere, great food (I got the buffalo blasts which were amazing! and the lemon chicken) the food is a little pricey but the portions are large. This is one of my favorite restaurants!

Stopped in here Friday night, 12/09/2011. This location is part of the Colonie Mall, and it sits right next to an entrance to the mall, a PF Changs, and a multi-cinema, so good luck finding a parking space in the same zip code!

The decor of a Cheesecake Factory makes you think are in a place that is a cut above the TGI Fridays, Applebees, etc. The lights are set fairly low for ambiance I guess, and the menu offers so many choices, you had better peruse it while waiting to be seated to save time. We were just at the Hackensack NJ location on the Friday before this, and my wife was anxious to have the combo entree that had Shrimp Scampi teamed with a nice sirloin cut. This time, however, the shrimp was mushy and the generous helping of mashed potatoes were woefully disappointing. To top it off, the excellent New England Clam Chowder she had in Jersey, was not available here in Albany, and they tried to substitute a general seafood bisque concoction that didn't even come close.

So besides her problems, I ordered Shrimp tacos from the Light and fit(?) menu which i guess only meant that you could hardly tell there was any shrimp in them. This go 'round, we refrained from ordering the two Mojitos that were lacking prices, as were all drinks on the menu, but turned out to be $10.50 each a week before. Our party of four adults, two kids ate for the same $100 that our two adult, two kids party did in NJ.

Where they excel is in the appetizers. The Chicken Samosa rocked, though only four of them seemed stingy. Other apps we all shared were crisp and tasty fried zuchini, and chicken quesadillas that could have been an entree to itself. I recommend this spot, and the chain brand for that splurge in price and calories. One can only take so much of Applebees. One odd thing though: We started out witha waitress that made it clear she was subbing for one that was on break. Well into the meal, after we had our food, she comes to the table and introduces our "main" waitress - okay fine. The first waitress returns to our table minutes later, and makes an extended effort to see how we are, and to explain that she is leaving now - maybe we needed to be hit on the head and told outright if she was lobbying for a gratuity right then and there. It didn't occur to us until later, at the end, and we were wondering if we were expected to split up the tip percentage, whether the "main" waitress would see to it that her sub got tipped, or pay more by tipping two times?
