Food and Service was Excellent!!!

by messem

This place was great. We are well travelled critiques of Thai food and this place held their own with the best of them. We order the Cashew Nut Chicken and the Crispy Beef Basil and they were yum yum delicious! The Shrimp was okay. The decor was contemporary and relaxing. The service was amazing and prices very reasonable and on top of it you can get a 20% coupon from this site we used. Go Thai Chai - Yo!!

Pros: Delicious Food, Wonderful Service, Nice Ambience, True Value

Cons: None

Need to print out the coupon to receive discount

by wisebrain

The food was excellent and medium priced. I was a bit upset because my printer was broken and I could not print out the 20% coupon online, but I wrote the bar code number down and they rejected it.

Pros: Great Food

Cons: Didn't get my discount.

Great Prices for Great Food

by jakedrake

This was a very comfortable place. The wait staff was attentive if a bit quiet. I had the Massamun Curry and Tom Ka Soup. The soup was surprisingly spectacular and the curry included avocado (an odd choice but worked). The ingredients were fresh and crisp but the curry was not as flavorful as I had hoped after that tom ka but all in all quite delicious and a substantial portion. The prices were great though especially with the citysearch 20 percent off coupon. The lunch special apparently includes soup/salad and a veg dumpling for about 7 bucks, which seems a great deal so I'll have to be back.

They also had some very nice sounding salads that I'd like to check out.

Recommended definitely.

First Thai in NY but I have had plenty in other places across the east.

Pros: Prices, Quality Ingredients

Best Drunken Noodles

by bshuk56

The best drunken (some restaurants call it drunkman?) noodles in town. I've had it with shrimp and chicken, but the seafood is delicious. The spices are just right, the basil leaves are fresh, the chow fun noodles are soft. I'm going to bring my wife some time to try other dishes. So far, so good.

Pros: Service and Food

Cons: Dim lighting

Refreshing... Indeed@!

by ab425

For anyone looking for good take-out in the Chelsea area, this new joint is so delish and so fresh that it's worth a try. I finally ate at the restaurant last Friday night, and I was impressed. The green curry beef and pooh jah crabcakes are pretty much close to perfect. The duck appetizer roll isn't bad either. My girlfriend ordered pad kee mao shrimp; we asked for "Thai spicy" and we got it. I didn't really like the vanilla ice cream (it's too typical), but her coconut flavor is outta this world. thumbs up!

Pros: Close to pubs, bars, clubs and galleries

Cons: No parking before 7pm

Lunch DEALS

by casey565

Highly recommended for work-day lunches. Massamun curry, tom yum soup, pad cashew nut, drunk man noodles, and rama dish tofu are all big hits with my co-workers for lunch. The lunch specials are affordable and tasty, and delivery is fast. But it's fun to dine in as well when the weather's not too cold.

Pros: Great food, affordable prices

Cons: Coupla long avenues to walk from Broadway

Back to Back

by nel67son

I've been to this bubbly spot (it's sorta long and narrow -- laundro-cum-rest) twice so far and have never been more pleased with my picks. Hands down, the best pad basil I've had in a very long time. I asked for my pork to be minced and for my fried egg (ghai-dow ??that my best friend always orders) to be yolky, and they served it on the house! Totally Thai, reminds me of my trip to BKK last summer. If you go, try anything basil and spicy; they do it right. Not so bad to grab a bite and wait for laundry.

Pros: Quick service, Romantic, Close to E, 1,9

Cons: Not yet

New Thai on 24th

by angiebnyc

I saw this place recently opened and gave it a try. The decor has a cool futuristic look, and the food was really good. I was kind of suprised it was somewhat empty, but was told they have been open only a few weeks, so that explains why- dont hesitate. The menu is fairly extensive.

Pros: tasty thai, cool decor, free appetizer with meal

Cons: no liquor license ( coming soon)
