Cornelius

★★★★☆
The acumen of Le Gamin, Soda, and Franklin Park's creators is concentrated into the frightfully whiskey-heavy Cornelius.

I recently moved to the neighborhood, and was eager to try the local fare - Cornelius seemed to stand out in the neighborhood: nice ambiance, great location, interesting menu, and friendly staff. I visited the restaurant on a Friday

I was excited to dine here as it is in my new neighborhood and my boyfriend is a whiskey fan. However when we arrived, we stood for ten minutes before being approached to be seated. This restaurant must have 60 seats and there was one

I was really happy to hear about this place when it opened. My boyfriend and I walked over and the food and drinks were fantastic. The meal was affordable and delicious and I find my self craving it often, particularly the Pear Prosecco

I am really impressed with the improvements of this spot. I went there a while back just when it opened and let me tell you it was HORRIBLE but gave it one more chance when my friend was having her birthday party there. Long story short is I had a great server and the food was much much better ... so happy I gave it another chance!

I love Noo Na from everything to the decor to the really tasty comfort korean food. The prices are pretty resonable, the service good as well. Sometimes the delivery can take a long time but its worth the wait.

My friends and I were so thrilled to find a place that serves good food late nite. There is nothing in the Heights that does this, and they make really good girly drinks and some sort of infused vodka. This will be my new Friday nite hang.

Pros: late nite food, staff

Cons: a little off the beaten path

Foods alright, but I like the bar crowd and the lounge is pretty sweet. The staff here is easy going, and its a pretty mixed younger crowd at the bar.

Noo Na is dope. The food is reasonably priced and they have a really large selection of vegeterian items which I love because I'm vegan. I was surprised because I thought most Korean food had a lot of pork. The service is awesome and I left without spending too much money. I will be back there soon!

I love Noo na, and it is so refreshing to have such a great place on vanderbilt where the food is good and the people all know your name. The staff is knowledgable on their Korean cuisine, and they have such great small plates.. I LOVE the whiting ! The service is very attentive, and they go the extra mile here. I will support Noo Na for a long time, I even took my family there.

IT WAS NOT PLEASANT... GOOD IN THE BEGINNING.. THE SERVICE WAS NOT NICE.
THE FOOD WAS OK COMPARE TO OTHER KOREAN RESTANRANT IN THE CITY. WE HAD TO WAIT FOR OUR FOOD ALMOST AN HOUR( THEY DID NOT CHARGE THE FOOD) BUT IT WAS NOT WORTH OF MONEY AND THE TIME WE SPENT.
I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THAT RESTAURANT.... NOT AGAIN.

Someone in my neighborhood (Fort Greene) had recomended that I head out to Prospect Heights to a little Korean restaurant on Vanderbilt avenue. Our server was warm and welcoming, and she did a good job explaining the menu as well as telling us what her favorite dishes were. We got the scallion pancakes to start (which was huge but tasty) and each tried a soup. I got a spicy seafood soup and it was perfect for this cold weather. I will be back here for the great service and good grub!

Just ate at this place a few days ago for a friend?s birthday and was incredibly disappointed. It was nothing like any Korean I?ve ever had before. The server (while pleasant enough) didn?t really seem to have a grasp on Korean food (or this menu for that matter) - which might tell why everything she recommended was not an accurate representation of her explanation . We tried the bulgolgi (which was fair at best - and unfortunately the best thing we had). We also tried the dol sot with spicy octopus. There were several problems with this dish: a) The octopus was decidedly NOT spicy; b) There was absolutely no flavor in it, or in the remainder of the ingredients; c) The octopus was so tough you could bounce it off the floor; and d) the rice at the bottom of the bowl was mushy, not crispy as advertised. We also had a few appetizers which were greasy and bland. No spice at all to be found in this place. Even the kimchi was tasteless. Someone in charge over there had better hire an actual Korean person to evaluate the menu or I don?t predict good things for this spot.

I was really happy when I saw this restaurant opening in our neighborhood, but disappointed by a few of the reviews I read elsewhere that weren't happy with their experience at Noo Na. So it took me a while to make it over to try them out, being that Korean food is one of my favorite cuisines, I didnt want to be. After lunch today what I discovered was another gem in the neighborhood. One of my old favorites Dolsot Bi Bim Bap was done really well. Very fresh with excellent flavors cooked into the vegetables. The Kimchi Paejun was huge and only $2. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious and definitely comparable (if not better) to meals I've had at more authentic Korean restaurants here and in Boston. They also have a really great Soju, Sake, and Shochu list and a muted palette for the decor (very beige and woody).
I definitely recommend Noo Na if you are in the neighborhood, I was definitely not disappointed and learned yet again to try something for yourself instead of letting someone else's opinion convince you.
