My husband and I live on the Upper West Side and we are always looking for new breakfast / brunch spots to try!! This morning we made an awesome discovery--Artopolis Espresso Cafe!!! First of all, as soon as I walked in, i forgot all about breakfast when i saw the dessert case!!! Oh my goodness!!!! I immediately ordered a beautiful mixed fruit tart to start, and it tasted as good as it looked!!!! Then I ordered a strawberry and chocolate crepe (clearly i have a sweet tooth!) and it was AWESOME!!! My husband ordered a much healthier crepe and a salad!! He was also super excited about finding Artopolis!!!! Beautiful and delicious food, free internet and outside seating!!! We are already planning on coming next weekend!!!

I love this cafe-every time I enter I marvel at the beautiful and unusual pastries they have, the oblong shaped cookies, the muffins, the greek pastries, the crepes. The cafe is so nice , I feel so happy and relaxed when I am there. The crepes are magnificent, freshly prepared as we watch. My husband and I love the breakfast crepes, and the sweet crepes, so satisfying and delicious. We live in Murray Hill!! We go out of our way to go there and always have consistently great food and excellent service. It is also fabulous for a "coffee and desert " visit. And don't forget the gelato!!! A great addition to the
Columbia University area---I hope they expand all over the city!! This is a must go to cafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great addition to the neighborhood!! Awesome pastries, sweet and savory crepes, gelato and coffee. Fresh cakes for any occasion and my favorite Greek desserts!!! Let's not forget the Greek coffee and Frappe. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Great outdoor space for people-watching while drinking coffee, wine or beer. The place is clean, relaxing and inviting. The service is fast and the staff is very friendly!! Highly recommended :)

Great place for dessert to go, late-night gelato, or even a sit-down meal. They put omelettes in crepes--it works! Standards like nutella and strawberries, as well. Also, now serving wine and beer with your pastry--can't think of anything better.

This place has great crepes, both sweet and savory, as well as some of the best deserts around (especially the cookie sticks). Not only that, the owner, Neil, is very generous in helping to support local charity efforts by the students. He donated hundreds of cupcakes, cookies and cakes to a fundraising event for Prevent Child Abuse America, and let us use Artopolis as the site for the fundraiser.
It's also a great place to sit and do work on a Saturday while enjoying really good coffee and whatever sweet things you can imagine.

Artopolis is easily the best place to get gelato in Morningside Heights. It's pastries are amazing, and so are the cookies and the chocolate covered pretzels! This place is also great for a midday meal, with great savory and sweet crepes. All in all its one of my staples around the Columbia campus.

Also Neil, the owner, is so nice, and so is the rest of the staff. Highly recommended!

I just attended a charity function here. Management (I think the owner) is so friendly, very accommodating and clearly cares about his customers. The food though...DELICIOUS!! The frosting on those chocolate cupcakes: thick, creamy, fudgy. And they have these amazing fruit tarts: the fruit is fresh (blackberries burst in your mouth), the cream tastes like it was just beaten from fresh milk, and the custard is perfectly balanced with a buttery shortbread crust. I haven't had the crepes or gelato, but I heard they're good.

I love this place! I get my iced coffee from here every morning and the desserts are fabulous and always fresh. The service is fast and the decor is really really cute. Besides the pastries, the crepes are fantastic and can be either savory or sweet.

This place has an incredible assortment of desserts. They have cookies, pastries, crepes, smoothies, gelato and more. It's the perfect place to go after dinner for great coffee and amazing chocolate chip cookie sticks. The staff is more than accommodating and always willing to let you sample desserts before you make your decision. The owner of the bakery is Greek so there is also a great assortment of typical Greek desserts that can't be missed!

My sorority hosted a philanthropy event at Artopolis, and the owner was incredibly accomodating and generous. The desserts were wonderful (chocolate cupcakes with a thick and rich icing, chocolate mousse cake, assortment of mini cookies and other various treats). It was a great experience and I will definitely go back for more. (Their gelato is also wonderful...try the peanut butter).

This place is amazing...Very clean, new, inviting, and tasty!! The crepes are perfect, they make you feel like you are in Greece. The desserts are beautiful and I had to get a few because I just could not choose, they were all amazing. The decor is very clean and bright, and the tv showing pictures of beaches in Greece just makes you happy and calm. The staff are fast and friendly. You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the college or cathedral or inside, either way you can't go wrong at this cafe. ; )

Artopolis Espresso Cafe immediately makes you feel very welcomed as soon as you walk in. Everyone is very polite, approachable and always delighted to take your order. This is the perfect place to just relax and take a break. The setting is beautiful and very comfortable. The pastries all look so delicious, you'll have a hard time choosing which one you want; but whatever your decision is, you wont regret it. It'll just leave you wanting more. I'm there almost everyday either for breakfast, lunch or dessert because everything just tastes amazing. Cookies, Crepes, Coffee and Drinks = HEAVEN!!!! I absolutely llllooooooovvvveeeee going there and I never leave dissapointed. Highly recommended for all :-)

Artopolis Espresso situated on 114th st Amsterdam Ave is very close to Columbia University and St Luke s Hospital so therefore most of the customers are from the vecinity of the surroundings altough a lot of tourists don t hesitate to come in and indulge themselves with various types of desserts,gelato ,crepes and great coffees.The variety and the quality of the products offered makes the decision on what to choose and taste even harder.One thing that impressed me when i first seen Artopolis Espresso was the originality and the detail given to everything that makes it a great place to have coffee,breakfast,lunch ,dessert and even a glass of wine or beer after work.What makes it so great about this place is the fact that you can create your own crepe,you can choose the ingredients and they ll make it for you as far as the drinks goes you can create your own smoothie too...My favourite sweet crepe is the CLASSIC it has nutella inside ..strawberries and bananas on top...to good to be true.So don t hesitate to stop by and relax.Plus the service is excellent,their waiters are polite,sociable and fast in handling the orders.So i highky recommend it whether you re alone,with friends family it s a place for any ocasion.

This place has made the entire Columbia campus more productive. Perfect place to take a break. Tasty coffee, unique desserts, filling snacks, rare ice-cream flavors. Service is friendly. Outdoor seating ideal for people-watching.The setting is pretty impressive. The place shines like a mirror, and there are screens showing images of beach... I go there every day, and so does everyone else I know....

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Artopolis Espresso! Their display of pastries and desserts made my mouth water and I had no idea how to choose just one of these gorgeous desserts. They also had a baklava case, an entire case for wedding cakes, and fresh gelato in a variety of flavors. However, they are also famous for their crepes, so of course, i had to try one of those as well!! Every single item in Artopolis is extraordinary!! They also have a large outdoor seating area, and they serve beer and wine!! WOW!!! What more can you ask for than desserts, beer and wine!! I truly delightful and delectable experience!!

Not only do the pastries look amazing... they are absolutely delicious. I try to have something new every time i go there but im hooked on the Crepes! They also carry gelato which is next on my list to try since its getting hotter out. My choice of coffee when i go there is the Frappe... light and sweet. Artopolis espresso is like a lil piece of heaven in the big city!!!! im so glad you guys moved into the neighborhood.

Very friendly staff by the way.

Need breakfast lunch or a quick snack dont forget to stop by Artopolis. Mouth watering sweets with Greek coffee! Perfect match topped with great customer service!
