5 Stars: LOVE IT! (by Anne A)

The food is soooo good, especially the steak. The waiters are also very helpful. The place itself is rather small, and the people around seem to have a great time. Depending on your mood, you might not be a fan b/c it does get somewhat noisy, but it didn't bother me!

2 Stars: Use to be a great place (by jtormo)

I have been going to eat at Buenos Aires since they opened up about 3 years ago. I was familiar with there staff and always attended too in the best possible way. But I have to say in the last year service has become horrible. The waiters are not nice at all especially the head waiter. The amount of wine served in a glass is so little that you have to order two glasses to make up for one glass. The steaks use to be excellent, cooked to perfection and lately... I don't know if the cook changed but the steaks haven't been so great. Also, the Flan use to be excellent now it just taste like raw egg. This restaurant use to be one of my favorites but due to the terrible service, snotty waiter, and the last several times the food not being great I have to say I will not be going back. It's a shame because I really enjoyed this place.

5 Stars: AWESOME STEAKS, 100% AUTHENTIC! (by Charlie09)

This place is always packed, because its GREAT, but with that said, they bend over backwards to get u in the door, and once there u feel special. The staff make u feel at home and welcome. There is NOTHING pretentious about this place, even though for my money it serves the best steak in NYC. Not only is it delicious but its organic, grass fed beef from Cow heaven Uruguay, a country which was ranked as the 3rd cleanest on earth in 2006. Ive been here 15 times and each time is just as good as the last, they are consistent, and focus on quality. Ive eaten in many steakhouses including Peter luger, Smith Wollensky, Gallaghers...I can tell u without a doubt Buenos Aires is a MUCH better value, better food, better atmosphere...simply superior!!
The owner along with his wife are there and oversee a very efficient and professional operation, as well as taking a sincere interest in their clients; as witnessed by the fact that 1/2 the clients treat them as family with all the smiles and hugs that are exchanged.

I highly recommend it and soon plan on going back for my 16th time. Forget the other steakhouses, Save yourself some money and a bad digestion, come to Buenos Aires u will be very happy u did...BA is where its AT!

PS- Try the Tannat Don Diva it is AMAZING with beef,
I cant recommend 1 dish without recommending everything because everything is excellent, but I would suggest saving a bit of room for any of the delicious desserts served with Dulce de leche. Most americans have eaten a steak before but few have had dulce de leche.

5 Stars: GREAT STEAK! (by Gaby)

I really liked this place. The food is great and so is the service. The waiters are very friendly and so is the owner. I was in Argentina not long ago and I can say the steak was just as good, and it was really not pricey. The only thing was that it was a bit noisy, but it didn't really bother me that much. Overall great place! I definitely plan on coming back soon!

5 Stars: Got Steak? (by NinaEast)

Excellent food. Good quality & service. Lovely setting. Delivery is prompt too. However -- my only issue -- when I ordered recently, the delivery person came with no change whatsoever. Zero. That is just plain stupid. Thankfully I had a stash of laundry quarters in order to tip him well enough (but not insanely so.) They do, however, accept credit cards. I'll remember that next time.

4 Stars: overall dining experience (by ritterpete)

Only been there once, but to this date it was the best overall dining experience I've had in NY. The space is amazing, and everything was perfect; exccellent wine and food, absolutely outstanding service. Definitely a special occasion spot, but one you should definitely make an effort to go to.

4 Stars: Food A++. The rest is whatever. (by btour)

BA.... The food is really good (I'm Argentine), the empanadas are made in the oven, the sausage is good, and the asado de tira amazing. Just go there if you want to eat, because the rest is despicable. They have TV in the walls like the ESPN Zone (WTF?) and if you go on Sat at 9pm, forget about getting a table. The owner is rude and the staff is just doing its job (mediocre). But honestly, the food is far better than at Azul, Novecento, Pampa, etc. So, if you want to go with friends of Maradona and have a nice meal, go to BA! But for a date, I would recommend CitySearch and good luck with your search!

5 Stars: Steaks to die for..Great Service (by JorgeFernandez91)

I want to start by saying I found this place threw the Blackbook Guide.
We waited for about an hour and 20 minutes at the bar next door on a saturday night.
No wonder why Buenos Aires Restaurant is always packed. We started with the beef empanadas and they were exquisite. When I questioned the waiter about the different variety of steaks on the menu he explained each one to me which was very helpful, He also recomended an incredible malbec for a very fair price. The filet mignon I had was the best I've ever tasted in my life. From now on this will be my first choice to dine out.

5 Stars: Amazing! (by NadiaGillete)

I went to this restaurant with a group of 6 of my friends on sunday afternoon.
it was full of argentineans watching a soccer match. It was very funny and I was impressed by the explanation the waiter gave me about the argentinean food and culture. The place is cozy and simple. The food is an A+. We really loved it Definitely a winner.

5 Stars: authentic argentinean in NY (by dbermejo)

Food is great, steak is the best and the menu is trully argentinean... For an authentic argentinean experience this is the place.
best of all is the service and atmosphere. People are welcomed and the onwer and wife are most of the time greeting customers!
Totally recommend it.
Pros: food, atmosphere, Skirt steak!
Cons: none

5 Stars: Great Argentinean; come hungry. (by drou)

It's always a good sign when you walk into a place in the East Village and instead of being packed with hipsters and/or yuppies, there are large groups of families.

If you're going to a traditional Argentinean place, you should know what to expect: MEAT, and lots of it. The skirt steak, the shell, the sweetbreads, and the chorizo were all outstanding, and the chimichurri was lovely and garlicky. Good wine list without pretension (the Malbec blend I had was excellent, and the dessert wines are fab and reasonably priced) and I loved the caramel crepe I ordered for dessert.

Service was excellent, on a busy weekend night.

5 Stars: A true Argentine (by felicitas8558)

I am Argentine and have been living in NYC for over 10 years. There have been a few restaurants worth visiting here and there (ie, Pampa, Novecento) but not much option. I went to BUENOS AIRES a few weeks ago for the first time on a sunday and it was AMAZING. As a true Argentine I consider myself a strict judge of beef and this was perfect. They have all the authentic Argentine menu items they should have: empanadas, ensalada rusa, milanesa a caballo, panqueques de dulce de leche... they even have Duraznos En Almibar Con Crema... which brought me back to childhood! And... I love the fact that they only serve "Quilmes". They have an extensive wine list with some amazing malbecs. The staff is more than accommodating and the venue is cozy and fun. Its extra fun if you go when there is an argentine soccer game on.... VAMOS-VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!!!

We were at Buenos Aires with my family on Monday , the filet mignon was perfect cooked an very tasty, tender and the chimichurri sauce was a delicious condiment for the meat. The shrimp cocktail was the best i ever had. The wine list was very impresive and the waiter was very solicituos. For desert we tried the chocolate cake and bread pudding. 5 stars!!!!! Congratulations and thanks to Buenos Aires for the wonderfull night

5 Stars: Asadito Argentino! (by kari_eventplanner)

Food, service and venue were excellent!
Ordered the empanadas (recommend the cheese , corn and spinach ) to start with, then had "canelones de espinaca" (spinach crepes) which reminded me of my grandmother's home-cooking (back home in Argentina), Pinot Grigio wine extremely affordably priced ($28/bottle). All good, have no complaints! I highly recommend this Argentinian restaurant - go try the "asado Argentino? (Argentinian BBQ) too, meat is out of this world and not expensive at all (being Argentinian, I?m a bit ?tired? of eating meat, grew up on it, so I tend to go for the pasta or fish when dinning out ? weird, I know?...but I still love to enjoy a good piece of meat when in the mood for it). My bf had the skirt steak (bife de chorizo), and I must say, it was delicious.

1 Stars: Por Gringos; Poor Non-Gringos (by ars_poetica)

We?re a decent middle-aged couple? Well-mannered, quiet, undemanding. We arrived for an early dinner while the restaurant was still bereft of customers. Yet, we were seated in a strange corner of the patio, behind a door and up against a wall, where crawlies kept biting my partner. Again, we are well-mannered, quiet, undemanding, so we remained. Our waiter was very curt with us, but we accepted that too, willing to cut him some slack. The runner was inattentive: Not bringing our water and bringing only bits of bread, and only when we requested. We cut him slack too. Then, as more diners arrived, we witnessed an entirely different style of service provided to them. They were seated in choice areas, far from us. Glistening glasses of ice water and full loaves of fresh-baked bread appeared just as they settled into their seats. The waiter was practically singing when engaging with the other customers. See, we initially cut the service staff slack because as fellow people of color, we just do that. But to experience the Colonial sting of our ?brothers? serving all the Caucasian customers with such zeal, while we sat as if we just clomped in from the field, was too much to bear. And to top it off? The food was only fair.

5 Stars: A++ (by emc2135)

I've been to Buenos Aires multiple times now, I've tried a number of their plates, at different times, and on different days. I've always left exceedingly content both with the food and service. The prices are relatively cheap for what you're getting, especially in NYC. You simply won't find steaks (skirt, ribeye, etc.) for ~ $20 as you do here. I recommend the bife de chorizo. The milanesas are simple, but great for price and size.

The place can be a bit rowdy on peak hours, and the wait on weekends calls for some anticipation as demand for tablesis high , but once you're in the servers are always on their toes. All in all, I highly recommend this little gem of the east village, and it has never let me down when I tried to impress the friends/girls I've taken.

5 Stars: The obvious steakhouse for a cozy dinner. (by esteliano82)

Absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend this cozy restaurant to any person; ranging from the casual diner to the romantic couple. The meat is a definite five stars. No where in New York can you find this juicy tender and natural meats. The way it was explained to me was that, most of the meat is imported from South America. The prices for the different cuts are fair. I had the shell steak that was grilled to medium perfectly. The wine list is superb and inexpensive. The service is extremely friendly. The waiters go out of their way to have genuine conversations about anything. My waiter even kept telling us jokes and stories. The only negative thing about the restaurant is that there is a waiting list, but really, in what good restaurants with fair prices and excellent food isn't there a wait.

3 Stars: 4/9/07 Posting is Retarded (by jhguyt)

TO THE POSTER FROM 4/9/07: Just because you have been to Argentina once in no way qualifies you as an expert on Argentine food. This place is owned by an Argentine guy and his wife and is most certainly authentic Argentine food. The fact that they may have non-Argentines in the kitchen and/or as waitstaff has absolutely nothing to do with the food. As you may recall from your lone trip to Argentina, restaurants there tend to employ foreigners as well, as do the ones here (and everywhere else) because the labor is cheaper. Oh, and by the way, the skirt steaks at this place are imported from Uruguay. This place is without doubt, the best Argentine steakhouse I have been to in the United States and for you to quote Morton's as a good steakhouse shows your utter lack of steakhouse knowledge. Stick to Friday's, chump. And you were probably PO'd that YOU weren't hitting on your friend as I know the waiters in there and none of them are gay.

3 Stars: Que cosa! (by inagaddadavida_loca)

I've been to Argentina, and this place doesn't compare. The food is just not as good as what I've had, from the papas fritas to the sweetbreads. The steak was fine, but this is not the kind of place you go to instead of Morton's. Service is lackluster - apparently one of the qualities from Argentina they got right. In addition, the waiter was hitting on my friend, and he's not gay or anything resembling that; either way, it's unprofessional.

Note to others: Just because someone speaks Spanish doesn't mean it's authentic. I realize it's hard for NYers to discern even though they're on some open-minded trip, so don't fall for the charm. Argentina is a vibrant country that's unique, and no amount of Mexicans (why isn't there good Mex food in NYC anyway?) will make up for authenticity.....with apologies to the fine Mexicans out there, as I know they tend not to get along with Argentineans.

4 Stars: hmmmmm, the meat! (by twoklutz)

Went there on Saturday night and had a great time. The empanadas are absolutely delicious, a must have! They have a great wine list and all pretty affordable, around the 20's. I had the skirt steak and it was fantastic, I tasted my friend's dish and it was also unreall. Everything about this place was good. The only downfall is that it gets pretty busy and it seems like they may be trying to rush you out otherwise I highly recommend. Enjoy!

4 Stars: Authentic argentine fare for lovers of tender and juicy grilled meat and then some (by cecibol)

Jump in....on a culinary level, Buenos Aires delivers an authentic flavor. The baked meat empanadas are the real thing, just like back home (filled with ground meat, eggs, olives, spices), the meat cuts are tender and juicy, the thickly cut french fries lack crispiness but not flavor, especially prepared a la provenzal, with garlic and parsley. We ordered Felipe Rutini's Trumpeter malbec very reasonably priced -for a restaurant- at 26 dollars. The wine was definitely too warm .The wait can get a bit long but is worth it. The servings are very generous. Service was quite good. Waiters were solicitous. The only thing which bothered me was the 2 large tv sets which dominate the small room. It was explained the owner is a rabid soccer fan, however, you get the feeling this is imposed upon you. The atmosphere would be much more pleasant if there was soft tango music in the background, especially when the images flashed on the screens are of internet access advertising. It is distracting. The desert, panqueque with dulce de leche was exquisite. As far as the food is concerned, I rate it an 8, service a 7, and ambience a 6 (due to the tv sets).-

3 Stars: Best Skirt Steak Period (by dghdhdshd)

I have eaten at BA so many times over the last year or so since it opened that I cannot even quantify the number of times or the amount of money I have expended there. I will say that the Entrana, my dish of choice is the best skirt steak I have ever tasted. i will also say that they've jacked the price up 25% on that dish during that time. It used to be the best deal around. Now its just a good deal. Still, since they've begun deliveries, to get a steak like that and a salad for $20 or so bucks is a pretty good deal. Their empanadas a pretty good. Pretty much everything I have ever tried there is above average to excellent. Even the desserts are top notch. Try the caramel pancake or the flan mixto or the chocolate tartufo. and the dessert wines are heavenly. never leave there without one. The downsides are the waits (usually on the weekends) and the rising prices (hey--can't fault ish for being a business guy). Also, I fully understand that its an argentine steakhouse and a good one, thus every argentine this side of the tropic of cancer has to be a regular there and yes, its a beautiful country and yes the women are hot, but can we not watch soccer 24 hours a day? We get it. Argentines love soccer. Its Argentine food. But its the East Village. Can we get a football game or baseball game once in a while? Hell, I'll even watch jiggly boobed mexican chicks on Univision (happily) over neverending soccer matches. But I don't go there to watch tv but to eat, drink and BS. Oh, and about the argentines. I suppose its the price of being addicted to an argentine steakhouse but, the arrogance many posters complain about may be the cultural difference b/w argentines and americans. both are arrogant sorts so perhaps there's a clash. However, I will say that argentines (particularly the men) are particularly loud especially when there's a soccer match on so its often kind of like eating in an Olive Garden during the World Series.

MY WIFE AND I WENT TO BUENOS AIRES MANY TIMES AND I THINK WE'RE BECOMING ADDICTIVE TO THEIR RIB EYE AND SWEETBREADS AND THE EMPANADAS..IN FACT EVERYTHING WE TRIED WAS FANTASTIC. THE SELECTION OF MALBEC WINES IS AMAZING AND THE LAST TIME WE HAVE TRIED CLOS DE LOS SIETE FROM MICHEL ROLLAND (WHOM WE MET IN FRANCE) AND WE DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD A VINEYARD IN ARGENTINA. THE VALUE OF THIS WINE IS JUST LIKE HITTING THE MEGA MILLIONS! AT LAST AN AUTHENTIC ARGENTINE RESTAURANT THAT STANDS ALONE. WE REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT ESPECIALLY ON WEEKDAYS.

5 Stars: Take it from a native Argentine.... (by vampyraargentina)

Born and raised in Capital Federal in Buenos Aires, I'm very picky about people who claim they can cook like Argentines. C'mon, no one cooks like Grandma. "Buenos Aires" is the first place i've taken my family and gotten the response "iEso es un bife!", equivalent to "now that's a steak!"
The steak is compared to none, service is good and very pleasant...
When we went, a major soccer game was playing (River V Boca) it's a great attraction for true futbol fans!
Be sure to try the empanadas, they're just like grandma's (just don't tell her). The milanesa (breaded cutlet) is great but take my advice, go for the Bife de lomo. You won't find it in the U.S. for that price and that superior taste!
For drinks, I suggest the "Quilmes", an Argentine beer (I like the dark beer). If beer is not your dig, romance whomever it may be with a bottle of Malbec. It is sweet, sophisticated and "Buenos Aires" has a great selection!
Well that's all I'm going to ramble about. This restaurant has become an old favourite, the venue of many dates, birthday parties and graduation celebrations!
As we say in Argentina, "iCon provecho!"

5 Stars: Juicy flavorful Argentinian MEAT! (by kangaroo99)

The decor is simple and makes you focus on your date... and the meat! My date RAVED about his filet mignon, but I stayed true (like prior reviews) to the entrana (skirt steak). PERFECTLY cooked as requested. The HOMEMADE chorizo is spicy and has "snap". The empanadas are wonderful too, to start. If you still have room after you eat, indulge in a dessert (flan misto is the house favorite)... or a port wine! Friendly service too! If you are really lucky... the owner may come around and chat with you a bit. It really feels like an old, neighborhood joint.

4 Stars: Excellent Argentinean Steak and Wine (by newyorkdiningclub)

The setting is suave, dark, and 1950s -- brick wall on one side, red-painted on the other. Most tables fit two, we came in as five. With a quirky, yet delightful wait staff, we attempted to order sophisticated dishes (read: sweet bread, their many sausages) only to be shot down and asked to re-order - that's an interesting dish, but not our finest. The four page menu became a list of four menu items - steak, steak, and steak.

But it was excellent. With a choice of filet, ribeye, skirt, ribs, and others, the best selection was ribeye: not as dry as the skirt and a little fattier than the filet. You may call the meal a bit of a simple, maybe even childish, steak and salad meal, but the wine and appetizers demand its graduation from kindergarten to grown-up stuff. Wash it down with a nice Argentinean wine (go for the Malbec with a blend of Cabarnet, Merlot, and Syrah) and you have yourself an excellent meal. And don't forget the interesting cheese and meats appetizer with fine salami, chorizo, and proscuitto as well as three mild cheeses (my guess - brebis and vache milk).

One complaint - the post-meal garlic breath and garlic flavored burping the next morning. The sauce for the steak would have kept any vampire away at least until noon the next day. And one member of the party had the chicken champignon. We asked the waiter how is the chicken, he replied in his eccentric, terse manner, "Well, it's chicken." He forgot to mention that it's five-glasses-of-water-later salty chicken.

In short, recommended!

5 Stars: FLAVORFUL MEAT, GO EARLY TO AVOID LONG WAIT... (by bellster11375)

Okay, I hate eating at 7 or 7:30 pm (still feels too early), but I did not mind for Buenos Aires. Part of the earlyness was because of our large group size (though they don't take reservations, you can give them a HEADS UP if you call earlier so they can start setting up a table area), 14, and the flavors and textures of the food were excellent. Any empanada is worth trying-flaky but not heavy, savory and hearty. They even have ones w/o meat, for those who are vegetarian. The churrasco is homemade and SPECTACULAR and has a little spicy flair to it. Obviously, if you are here to dine, you are likely a carnivore. Their signature dish is the Entrana (skirt steak - it's a churrasco, if you will). Flavorful, juicy (mine, medium rare) - arrive hungry, so you can finish it. They also make pasta and parmagiano dishes if you aren't into a steak. Sorry, no hard alcohol sold here, but who cares? Have a beer or try any of the numerous Argentinian wines (there's a fantastic oak-fermented one, reasonably priced!). Dessert was standard stuff - wonderful sorbets! I hear the flan mixto is great (had no room to even try it)... but next time, I'll try the port that 2 people at our table had. Smelled strong but the flavor was concentrated and sweet and it also had a smooth finish. I left quite happy (and stuffed)!!

5 Stars: Fabulous Value, Crappy Wine (by gsgssfger)

I've been to this place twice in the last few weeks. Both times I had the filet w/ peppercorn sauce an mixed veggies @ $23 + per plate. Both times an awesome piece of meat and easily equal if not better than cuts I've had for north of $35. I tried the grilled octopus appetizer which was mouth watery, and also the grilled calamari salad which was delectable. For dessert, definitely try the caramel flan. its not generic flan, but an absolute dream. Also, try the 20-year old port (for $10). An absolute steal in NYC. The only negatives I would say are: (a) the word is definitely way out on this place so if you go there fri - sun after 7 PM, you'll have to wait. Also, another downside is that some of the patrons go there and order like nothing, but yap for hours while others of us are menu tasters and will spend accordingly. They have some sign up now that you have to spend $30 per person during world cup soccer, but good luck enforcing that one. I will also say that the wines we tried were not special. I belive we tried the Malbecs, both Oak barreled and non. No offense to Argentines on this board, but perhaps they do not keep the wines well over there due to the heat from the kitchen, etc. Overall a great place, but extremely small space. Oh, and the last time I went, the busboy took my $20 port which was half full at the time (probably in a rush to get us out of there due to the wait behind us). A quick complaint to the owner and I was given a replacement. No worries. Great place, but prepare to wait. btw,

5 Stars: Meat for the Connoisseur (by cvillavicencio)

I am not Argentine but lived in Argentina many years. Frankly I have been deeply disappointed by other steak places in New York, particularly those that call themselves Argentine, most of them are extremely expensive but with meat of low quality and if they have good meat most of the time they do not know how to grill it. The ambiance is great, very easy going and the service is excellent. I have made it a habit to eat there every Sunday, but unless you eat at unusual times (like I do) you better make a reservation. Try it you wont regret it.

3 Stars: Good food, but you had better be Argentinian... (by pjkj)

The food's good, the wine's moderately priced and the ambience is fine. It's just...you had better be from Argentina.

They dont take reservations and after waiting for over 2 hours it was frustrating to see that people were skipped in front of you just because they happened to be from the same country as the maitre d'. That said there arent any other decent steak places in the East Village so if youre hankering for some cow go early, go weekdays or just practise your Buenas Aires lisp and youre all set...

5 Stars: Incredible!!!!! (by diego88)

Ive been in Argentina many times and there are not many Argentinean Rests. as good as this one in New York. The Bife de Chorizo and the Entrana are out of this world. I hope the prices dont go up as it becomes famous. The wines are incredible. They even have the HENRY LAGARDE RESERVA wines that are difficult to find in NYC. Try the Malbec or the Cabernet Sauvignon, they are probably the best value you can find.

Buenos Aires in the East Village is a miracle. You do not need to travel for have an authentic argentinean steak. Just go to 6th Street between A and B in NYC. The decor is really very argentinean style, the food and the wines as well.
The best steak y had in NYC was the shell steak i had in Buenos Aires. The empanadas are delicious. Do not forget to try argentinean Malbec The best !!!!!

5 Stars: The best of the best (by 195901)

I have become addicted to this place. The food is just like the NEW YORK POST describes it "to die for!",for me this is it.The place is always full even though they know me the owner sticks to the credo first come first serve on weekends. To those who wrote bad reviews its quite obviously the competition. The ground rules in America is "FREE MARKET'.And Karina (OWNER)sticks to her ethics.I have been in Argentina many times because of my work and this is better than Cabana Las Lilas.I dont think that Donatella Versace or J.J. Campanella who are frequent patrons go to Pampa or La Portena. But ill let you decide!

I found this restaurant on Citysearch. I took my boyfriend since he loves to have a great "meat" dinner. I don't eat red meat but I found a tremendous amount of options for me as well. The salads are AMAZING-light, lemony dressing. I had the grilled calamari over argula. YUM. We had the Mozzarella, Caprese empanadas-wonderful. For my entree, I had the grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly. My b-friend had the shell steak which he loved and a chicken soup which was great as well. The wine was wonderful. we had a chardonnay from Argentina that was awesome. BUT lastly, we had the truffled chocolate ice cream dessert. WOW amazing! If you are looking for a unique dining experience in a relaxes atmosphere, Buenos Aires is the place for you!

Buenos Aires was wonderful, the food was great I had the Entrana with home made frenchfries and a beef empanada as an appitizer. Even though we had to wait 30 mins for a table it was worth the wait. We had no problems with the host he suggested we go to the Kion Lounge

1 Stars: WHAT!?!?!! (by corncrackwhore)

If only the check would come prematurely like my entree I could have get out and be soothed by the peaceful sounds of the fire engine blaring down Ave A. This place is too loud. My ears are still ringing.
Service is not better. The waiter had an unpleasant attitude. When I asked about the ingredientes of the chicken soup I was told "it's just chicken soup". While we were still having our appetizers, our entrees were brought in. Tables are tiny. If the waiting staff could be bothered to clear away non-essential items there would be room for the food.
The food? What I tried (morcilla and entrana) was quite good and the chimichurri is well balanced. However, good Argentine food can be found in quieter places with more professional service like Pampa and La Portena. Overall, not recommended.

5 Stars: Enjoyed the Red Wines from Mendoza (by this_is_aregentina)

The Reds from Mendoza, Argentina are very good and a great value. Especially the the bodegos in the higher altitudes of The Ucco Valley (about 3,000 feet). We tried Diablo de Uco, Salentein, and Majol - all had a nice forward fruit taste and full bodied balance of tannins and acid. The Malbec is especially good from here, but the Cab and Merlot are quality too and very drinkable.

An amazing combination of a great food (not just the beef), great wines and affordable prices. How do they do it? These guys know how to grill meat. No need to spend $25 for a steak anymore; here you can get it for $14, and better quality. They have a large selection of Argentine wines all below $30. Try the "colita de cuadril", you can't get it anywhere else in New York. And don't get me started with the "panqueque con dulce de leche".

5 Stars: Best Argentinean Cuisine In Town! (by princess271)

My boyfriend and I had diner there the other night and it was amazing. The atmosphere was delightful. The food was delicious. We had the skirt steak and it was like slicing butter. We really enjoyed it. We are definitely going back again and taking our family and friends with us. The desert was heavenly. We had the crapes stuffed with caramel and drizzled with powered sugar and cinnamon. He loved the fact they had the beer from Argentina, Quilmes, and what made it even better is that they were ice cold. The best part about the evening was the wait staff was on top of things. As soon as our drinks were low they were right their to bring us another one.

5 Stars: Great Food - Great Value (by nperez259)

This new restaurant really knows how to cater to meat lovers. A varied menu that includes everything from the basic meat cuts to fancy Argentinean steaks to fresh pasta. I would recommend starting a combination platter for two which includes an assortment of kidney/blood sausage/sweet bread. Then move on to the real meat. The side dishes are excellent, especially the Provencal French Fries. For desert do not miss the dulce de leche pancakes and follow it with an espresso. Ah! The finer things in life, good food at a price that will not burn a hole in your pocket. I can't wait for the summer and sit in their garden.
