With the best in Mexican pastries and food items to choose from, I liked how they had a very good taste of food and how they pick the best flavors.

This cafe is located right under the rumbling subway tracks in Queens, New York. This tends to be a bit of a gritty neighborhood, and in the middle of it all you see this cute little cafe. The mosaic work is really pretty, and the handmade menus are works of art as well. You can watch the chefs cooking in the open kitchen. Awesome for brunch, and sometimes on the weekend evenings there is live acoustic music. The baked goods are outstanding!

I went here recently after hearing so many good things about this place.First, it didn't look like the cleanest restaurant I've been in.Second, the food was not that good.I had a simple chicken milanese with pesto and mozzarella and it lacked taste, and was oily and heavier than it should have been. The staff wasn't all that pleasant either, and I felt it was definitely overpriced.

I got a reccomendation from a friend about this restaruant. I'm a life long New Yorker but I have not eaten at any restarurants in this neighboorhood. I wound up choosing La Flor to have my 30th birthday party.

Ever have a dinner party and wind up having your friends ask you all night; "How did you find this GREAT place?" That's what happened. La Flor turned out to be a home run. The ambiance is fun, and funky, and very comfortable. The food just had everyone talking. I tried a little of everything. The steaks: New York Steak, Skirt Steak, Filet Mignon. Better than steaks I've had at steakhouses recently. The chicken dishes were simply amazing. Some of the best mole, and guacamole. They have some kind of chef there.

To top it off, they had a wonderfull guitarist who was playing great songs from the 60's and 70's all night. If you think that sounds cheesy, I have to tell you it made for one of the funnest nights ever. Everyone raved about this place for the rest of the night and I will be going back soon.

Pros: Amazing Food, Fun Funky Ambiance.

Cons: Where is it again?
