I've been to Sakura before, and was pleased at least the first time. I noticed the service going downhill, but kept giving it another chance. Big mistake. My last pedicure was beyond disappointing. After waiting nearly 20 mins. (having an appointment -- which is a must here), my technician spent just about the same amount of time on my pedicure. She might as well have skipped the callous removal altogether, given that she barely touched the tool to my feet at all, and for about one minute. The cuticle push-back was rough and she was clearly paying more attention to her conversation with another tech than to what she was doing. My polish job looks awful just a couple of days later. The worst part is the overwhelming fumes (possibly from the Calgel? Or the extreme nail art that they do here?) -- I had a headache when I left. And at nearly $30, I overpaid. There are so many great nail places within a few blocks of here, there is no reason to wait to long, after booking an appt, for such poor service. Oh -- and I can't be sure, but I think a tech replaced the plastic flower in the basin that signifies "clean" WITHOUT CLEANING IT after my pedi. Yuck!!! Never again.
