i had a solar system installed from island recreational and although a lengthy process the installation was top notch. it took almost 11 months but was worth every waiting minute.

WE PURCHASED A SOLAR SYSTEM FROM ISLAND RECREATIONAL OVER 1 YEAR AGO. NOW THEY TELL US THAT THEY CAN'T SUPPLY THE SYSTEM. CAN YOU POINT US IN A LEGAL DIRECTION? I SURE THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT READY TO BE INSTITUTED AS THERE ARE MANY MORE UNSTATISFIED CUSTOMERS AND UNFULFILLED ORDERs!!!!

Today I went to Island Recreational in Centerearch I went to
buy an inflatable as they were being advertised at 50% off
also I had a incentive coupon that they gave me for $15 off my
next purchase at the store. So I picked out an inflatable that
was $49.99 so here I'm thinking I'll be paying $25 for the
inflatable and get $15 off the total price. To make a long story
short they say to me no, you get 50% off the original price
and I end up paying $38.02 including tax. No where on my receipt did they show they deducted $15.00 as the cashier
and manager made me feel like I was trying to pull something
over them. They kept questioning me about the coupon, they
kept asking if I had used the coupon before. I have purchase
hundreds of dollars on their products, they give me this incentive coupon and their acting like I'm trying to rip them off
for $15. If you buy anything in that store I advise that you
look at the receipt before going home like I did, don't trust them they have a lot of ads that are misleading, and they
won't honor their so call discounts and sales. My wife works
as a customer service rep, and she says that Island recreational has the worst customer service, they never give
you a straight honest answer to your complaint.

If you can go anywhere else for your pool, you would be wise to avoid this awful company. My husband and I have had problems since the day we walked into the Franklin Avenue store. For starters, there is no direct number to the store. The central customer service line is a joke, and they actually do not answer the phone if you call more than once or twice on a given day (they must be using call waiting to avoid customers with documented problems). Our problems started when the survey people made a major mistake in appraising the pre-landscaping needs. The installation people refused to put the pool in due to the mistake of the surveyor, and the company refused to expedite a new installation date. After deciding to return the pool in frustration, we were stonewalled by the Franklin Avenue store by a "manager" who sent us to the Deer Park warehouse, and then at the Deer Park warehouse by a "supervisor" who refused to give his last name and who sent us back to Franklin Square to the store. We were stonewalled by both the Franklin Avenue store and the Deer Park warehouse by uncaring people, one of whom actually laughed at us. At the Deer Park warehouse, two people said that technically, our merchandise was returnable. They said we were right, that our merchandise should be accepted back, but that they "couldn't take it." We were left humiliated with a $4,000 bill, a lot of pieces in the driveway, nobody to call, nobody who cared. If it didn't cost money to go to court, I would be in court, and it might still happen.

Go to this company for a pool if you feel that you can risk paying thousands of dollars up front for something you haven't received, knowing that there is not one person in the entire company who cares about fixing the problems that they created through their own negligence and stupidity.

i went here to get pool toys. The toys were nice and organized, but there weren't signs to say where everything was. They had a few pools to look at in the front.
