My dell laptop wouldn't turn on. I went to 1hr support. As it turned out, the motherboard was bad. On their recommendation, I bought a new dell xps laptop. 1hr support recover all my data from my old laptop and transferred it to my new laptop. They also customized the new laptop with all my personal programs and settings.

My laptop was having trouble connecting to the internet. I called 1 hour support and did a "remote help" session. Basically, the tech guy helped me connect my laptop to the internet over the phone. It was great, it took about 10 minutes!!!

we priced around for laptop repair and this was the least expensive option. they picked up and returned the laptop (it cost 15 more to deliver it back, but it was worth it, i guess.) I hope I don;t have to, but I'd use this service again.

I had a laptop malfunction. ?1 Hour Support? promised to pick up and deliver the computer for free. I spoke to a man named David. He said he could send a courier service to pick up my computer and within a, ?minimum of 1 hour and maximum of 2 hours? he would have a diagnosis. This was at 11:30am on Monday, February 9th, 2009. I didn?t get a call by 4pm so I followed up with the courier service, they verified that it was delivered. I called ?1 Hour Support? many times between the hours of 4pm-6pm on Monday and kept getting their voicemail. I left a message asking David to get back to me with the status of the repairs. He had told me that he worked until 8pm. I didn?t get a call until the next morning (Tuesday). When I asked when my laptop would be fixed he said ?90% chance you?ll get it back today, 100% you?ll get it tomorrow (Wednesday)?. He called at 5:30 to let me know the repairs were complete and the PC would be delivered the next day. Wednesday I didn?t receive any notice from anyone. I called David several times and was directed to his voicemail continuously. Finally, I left David a voicemail stating that if he didn?t return my call soon I refused to pay for the repairs. He called me back after 5pm on Wednesday when he claimed there was a malfunction with their phones. He told me that I could come pick up my laptop. I asked why the repairs took so long, to which he responded, ?Because your computer is so slow? (the broken computer that I sent to him to fix) when I said that was ridiculous, he began berating me about how I should appreciate the convenience and value of his service. Finally, I told him that I?d go pick it up. To which he responded, ?If you come here I will come outside with a bat, and you don?t want to see me with a bat?. He followed up with, ?Do you know who I am, I?m 6?3?? 260 pounds!? At which point I realized there was no winning this argument, I told him to send me my laptop on Thursday, and we?d never have to speak to each other again.

I've never felt the need to write a negative review before, but I just can't let this guy's terrible behavior go unnoticed. As a Harvard graduate and owner of my own 25-person company, I have NEVER been spoken to as rudely or as condescendingly as David from 1-hour support.

Here's the story:
After contracting a computer virus, I called this guy (David) as I was getting information from a few different places, and then called a second time after I had decided to go with 1-hour support because of positive reviews (although I agree that I'm a little skeptical of these positive reviews). However, because the delivery service doesn't operate over the weekend I was unable to drop off my computer at the time of the second call. Thus, I waited until Monday morning at 9am and called a third time to place a service order. I also asked some last minute pricing questions, and told him 1 or 2 other symptoms of my computer that I hadn't mentioned before. Total call time: 4 minutes.

By the end of this third call, I should have checked in for intense whiplash from the verbal abuse. David began to yell at me for "calling [him] 5 times" "I don't have time for this" "believe me I have more than enough business" "I have been doing this for years, just send it or don't, i don't need to hear what your problems are" --- can you believe it?

Then when I said "I understand that, but I don't appreciate your condescending tone.." HE HUNG UP ON ME. Can you believe it?

The funny thing is, I was honestly calling to place an order. Thank god I didn't. I don't think any of us needs someone working on our computers that has a personal vendetta against his customers.

Also, the other reason I originally chose 1-Hour Support was the 2-3 hour cap, but because it's $99.99/hr it actually would have cost significantly MORE than the place I ended up using with no hour cap. The other place also did not charge me for re-installing my OS (1 Hour was going to). That's all I have to say.

Not only did he fix the problem, he did it over the phone! I had him come in the following day to clean up my computer which was starting to get sluggish. For laptop repair I cannot imagine why you'd ask anyone else to work for you. My congratulations on excellent service. If in New York again and in this situation I will definetly call again.

They saved my pictures and the music and my documents, and even hepled downgrade my awful Vista back to XP. It did take almost a day, but considering this was done on Friday/Saturday, we were very happy. The computer really does work faster with XP. I would highly recommend this service to my friends. THey even pickud up and delivered my laprop by messenger.

My daughter needed her Macbook connected to a wireless network and the whole thing set up. We were at it for 3 days, and the tech they sent got it resolved in under 1/2 hour. I could not keep up with what was done, but it was all in place very quickly, and the rest of the hour the technician spent training myself and my daughter on printing and memory and such. He even hepled with the iTunes and the iPod. Thanks again, I have your brochure by the computer just in case.

I checked back on Citysearchand the address saiud E 46th St. I called and asked what was going on. David said 46th was dispatch (presumably where he was) and 79th was the service center.

To make a long story only a little bit long....

-The next day he told me I would probably have to wait 3 extra days; though it is worth noting that he was clearly knowledgeable about the problem with the laptop

-I said that wasnt acceptable & asked for the computer back

-He said ok and told me I could pick it up, that he would charge me the full 250 despite taking nearly 2x the time he quoted and now he wanted it in cash. At this point, I just wanted my computer back & was desperate

-I went to pick it up at 79th St and it turned out to be his apartment where I interrupted an Xbox game he was playing. He gladly took my cash and handed me my precious laptop back.

-He finally admitted that the delay was for the part b/c he chose to use UPS Ground instead of Next Day which would have cost him $25 more. I said...why didnt you call me? At that point he asked mt to leave.

Avoid this fly-by-night operation.

PS Im concerned that since my review citysearch has been flooded with new 5* reviews. It seems obvious that the owners are trying to bury my review. Buyer beware.

The techinician came and swapped out a part (and inverter?) which cost me less than 100 dollars. Their rates are great, they came right to my apartment and did all the work in my home and their honesty saved me from buying a new 15.4 inch LCD. Thanks guys.

A technician was dispatched to my apartment according to my schedule, & he spent almost 2 hours attempting to fix the problem. When it became apparent they would need to completely reinstall windows, I was not charged for the time he had already spent, but rather was charged a very reasonable flat fee for the entire job. Again, working within MY schedule, the technician was willing to take my computer home with him to repair it. He returned it the next morning & made sure the computer was running perfectly. To sum up, all of the people I have dealt with at this company have been extremely professional, patient and knowledgeable. I would recommend their services to anyone having a problem with their computer!

These guys are good! My machine was so slow it was unuseable. The technician came and and made the computer fast again in about 45 minutes. He found several viruses and removed them all. I didn't lose anything and learned how to protect my machine from future infections. Excellent, inexpensive and well worth it. Thanks guys!
