Great sushi, better than koi or geisha, still a bit pricey

While on Christmas holiday in New York City, I dined with family at Blue Ribbon. Always the adventurist, I tried the Chef's Sushi platter, with 1 roll and 7 different pieces of sashimi. My aunt and cousin both had the tempura rock shrimp. The food was decent (though I would recommend staying away from the flavored iced teas - they were quite bitter and terrible tasting!). 12 hours later, I was sick as a dog. I spent the remainder of my vacation laying on the bathroom floor at my hotel and then frantically searching for a hospital in the city when things got worse. I would highly advise that any potential diners stay far, far away from this place, and try one of the many other sushi joints in the neighborhood.

Pros: Food, Drinks, Nice Bartenders

Fabulous sushi - take 4 people and try the Boat, and add at least a fried oyster roll. This place is just as good as the original. The bartenders are great too.

Pros: Fresh fish, creative rolls

Cons: Specialty drinks are a little weird - stick to beer and sake
