I had a horrible experience at this lounge. What a waste of time. Waited forever for drinks and the overall feel was very stuffy. Not worth the trip at all!!!

Welll behaved, appropriately dressed older gentleman arrived Saturday Night at 10:25 and was politely turned away. In the next few minutes several couples were admitted. Not nice-does not make for a people behaving better-no doubt it will close in a year

Label is an incredible bar with an effortlessly cool interior, a gorgeous crowd, and some of the best DJ's. Once the crowd eagerly enters, the party wont stop. I have a great time there and the service is impeccable!

My first visit was memorable because the owner Nick made sure everyone and I do mean everyone was having a great time. When have you seen the owner go through the crowd and ask how are you and can I get you any thing. Hospitality at its finest in a hip cool thriving atmosphere. The music is outrageous and you wont want to leave till the lights go out and the DJ has stopped. Do yourself a favor and visit the Label Lounge. It will sure to please you everytime.

I almost don't want to write this review, as I'd like to keep this place a secret for my friends and me. It's just what the LES needed, a cool spot, with cool crowd and cool staff and little to no attitude. The owner is serious about music without being a snob and has always been super friendly to me and my friends. I really liked the music when I've been there. It's been brazilian beats one night and chilled house the other time and the sound system was great. Not so loud you couldn't talk but loud enough to groove too. Drinks were great as was the bartender both times I've been there. They have a great selection of Tequila if you're into that, I've become a fan of the Milagro tequila, which incidently goes great with those tasty empanadas they sell. In summary, the place is super cool and I hope it never changes because I now have my new favorite bar in the LES.

Pros: Music, Crowd, ambience

Cons: little off the beaten path

I guess everyone has their own unique experience when going out, I had a good one at label this past weekend. The music was great, the DJ was playing this really cool mix of minimal disco and underground deep house with afro-latin influence which actually ended up keeping us there the entire night. the quality of the sound was good (for a bar), they have these little pair of stereo speakers everywhere you walk so the sound is clear no matter where you are.The crowd was cool, not your typical LES crowd on the wknds, and the security/doorman was actually nice upon entering. The space is kind of small (long and narrow) but the interior design and overall ambiance is chill and intimate. The pink lighting on the walls gave the space a warm feel to it. Its the kind of place where you can start the night to prepare to go out to other bigger clubs, or stay the entire night if you not in the mood to deal with the masses but still hear good music. i had no trouble getting a drink (there were 2 bartenders when i was there). i live in the neighborhood, and label will def be my new hang-out spot. the wknd was kinda busy (little line out front) but ill probably try a thursdays as it wasn't as busy when i walked by. great addition to the LES.

the place is a shoebox, basically one long hallway about 4 feet wide stretching the entire length, and in the shadows of the projects of the lower east side. there was only one bartender on a saturday night, so waited a long time to get a drink, and the pours were bad. they claim to "accomodate large groups for special events and birthdays", yet the manager and bouncer were turning away friends of multiple birthday parties (including one of a friend of mine). Understandable if the place were filled to capacity, but there was plenty of room since most of us who were inside left quickly and very unimpressed. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one, especially if you are looking to celebrate with friends.
