Metro Taxi Car Service Massapequa, NY; THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER PAID FOR. I recommend NOT to use them. The female driver whom picked my family and I up in a minivan, cannot not drive at all. First the van reeked of smoke. Then she had the windows open to which I was traveling with 1 infant and 1 toddler 4am in the Feb. I had to tell her it was too cold. Guess she was trying to cover up the smoke smell. Neither myself or my husband smokes so we can pick up the smell right away. She drove all over the road, very inexperienced or just nervous. Wanted to take a scenic route when I directed her to the highway We did have a flight to catch. Offered no assistance when arrived at JFK. When I called the company to inform (MARY) of my concerns from long distance, she was extremely unprofessional and rude on the phone and stood by the driver when my family lives were at risk. And as a paying customer I requested a different driver upon my paid in full return trip. I was told a credit would be refunded 2 weeks later no credit was applied to my account. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

I called them on Monday, the week of Thanksgiving looking for a pick-up for my parents at JFK on Thanksgiving night. I gave them all the info and the woman gave me a price. The price was lower than many others, however I already had a lower price with the company we usually use (Spartan). I told the woman that I had a lower price elsewhere and would book with them. She told me that she could maybe match the price and she would call me back. She didn??t call me back right away so I called back later. I now got a man on the phone (Bill), who seemed aware of me. He told me he would match the price. I re-iterated the price, which he said yes. I told him ok, I would book with them. (I figured let??s give a new company a try and also this would not be a shared pick-up ?? the other company would have been for the same price). Anyway, he took all my info?flight, time, phone # etc?.. I called back on Wednesday to confirm. I got the original woman on the phone who remembered me. I wanted to confirm that they had everything they needed (something told me not to trust them). She now told me that she needed to take my credit card info?just to hold the reservation ?? I wondered ??Hmmm why didn??t they take that the other day). So I went along with it. Everything was set ?? I confirmed the price once again, which she confirmed. WELL?.the next day (the day of the pick-up) she calls me at 3:30 PM to tell me that they would have to charge me $125 ($35 more than agreed upon) because it was a holiday and also because of where they had to bring my parents. I argued with her that they had all that info when we booked it and nothing has changed?.she agreed with me and said she would have to talk to the dispatcher. Anyway to make a long story short?after me calling back several times and arguing that she is now charging me more than she originally quoted me before they matched my price (which she didn??t remember)?I ended up picking my parents up myself?.I was not going to be manipulated like that!!! They are completely UNPROFESSIONAL and DISHONEST!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

This company picked our family up in their own mini-van. The driver was completely inexperienced and drove like a lunatic. She had no clue where she was going, and even had to stop to get directions. She even arrived late to pick us up, and got us to our destination over 45 minutes later than expected. If you are looking for a reliable company, look elsewhere.

My family and I were looking for a limo company to take four (4) adults and two (2) infants from Baldwin to the 55th Street Pier in Manhattan. We had car seats and the bases, and all of the quotes I received were well over $360. When I called Metro for a quote and it came in at $334, I booked what was called a "luxury mini-van". I requested a faxed confirmation, which never came. That should have been the first sign that I was going to have a problem with this company.

M husband called the day before we left to confirm the pick-up, but we never received a call back. The pick-up was supposed to be at 10am. We received a phone call at 9:15am from Eugene Liebman (the owner of the company), confirming the pick-up and demanding that we pay via credit card right then- The entire $334. He and his wife/partner Georgianna had told me on the phone when I booked that we could pay cash. I was forced to put the entire charge on my husband's credit card.

Georgianna, a 60+ woman, was our driver. She showed up at the house 25 minutes late in a 2005 Toyota Sienna, dressed as though she were going grocery shopping. My husband installed the car seat bases while my mother and I loaded our own luggage into the "luxury mini-van". We were supposed to be picked up at 10am, with the idea that we would arrive at the pier by 11:30am at the latest. We didn't get to the pier until 12:45pm, after she asked directions at the toll-booth for the Mid-Town Tunnel.

Georgie gave us her phone number to call if we wanted to be picked up earlier than the scheduled 10am when we got back from our cruise. I started calling at 7am to see if we could be picked up at 9:30am instead. No one answered the office phone or the cell phone from 7am until 9:15am. Eugene finally answered and told me that Georgianna was 45 minutes away. So, my family and I - including my 6 month old twins - had to wait in the bus depot with all of our luggage. She didn't arrive until 11:10am. Again, she didn't load the luggage - this time, I did it all.

They did not have a GPS, and Georgianna got lost in Manhattan. (Again.) She spoke on her cell phone a few times while driving, which is illegal in NY state. As we arrived at the house at 1:30pm, she slammed on the brakes so that she wouldn't miss it. The seatbelt for the seat I was sitting in was not functioning - it was actually missing, and Georgie acknowledged that it was broken before she came to get us - and I went flying forward. I slammed my shoulder in the seat in front of me.

When I asked for insurance information from Eugene, it was insinuated that I deliberately removed the seatbelt. He refused to give me his insurance information, and even had the audacity to ask me, "How much do you want to keep my insurance out of this?" I asked him if his car was even registered to his company, and he said, "I need to call my attorney," and hung up on me.

I do not recommend using this company. I feel that they are unprofessional and unreliable. There are many other professional limo companies across Long Island. You might pay more, but it is clearly worth it to not have to deal with what my family and I went through.
