My family took me here for my 30th birthday and I was quite surprised at how nice it was. The interior really surprised me, it was new and fresh and each room had its own character although the beautiful fish aquariums were consistent throughout. The sever was wonderful and I felt like I was a family guest, attentive to our every need and she seemed really happy about taking care of us. The food was fantastic, I dont know how they put all those different foods out so good and so fast (the restaurant was quite busy) the quality across the board was great in this mid priced restaurant. Im sure this is one of my new favorites, we will be back soom
Grapevine Restaurant has become our favorite choice for evening dining. Though on the less expensive side compared to some others, what you get for your money is first-rate. Drinks from the bar are excellent, and the menu is quite diverse and interesting. We have always been extremely pleased with the food, and the portions are very generous. Dessert is also a must here. Grapevine is highly recommended for every day occasions and entertaining guests
We stopped into The Grapevine on the reccomendation of friends and definetly were not dissapointed. This is not a fancy restaurant its casual, has 5 fish tanks and one of them is very large with very cool fish. I have never been in a restaurant where everyone is so friendly! I had this bourbon pork that was topped with onion...
This is a very pleasent restaurant with a very pleasent atmosphere and staff. pricing is reasonable and menu is extensive as there are many choices of appealing items in which to choose from.Very clean and inviting. Great for Holidays as well,,,very nice promotions Spend certain $$$ amount Get free dinners. Very nice touch.
Pros: Very nice restaurant
The Grapvine is one of the nicest resturants i have ever been to in my whole entire life. The salt water fish tanks are beyond beautiful. They have great food, i recomend the stuffed chiken with brocoli. They never give you any reasons to not come back. They serve you well, and they keep you wanting to come back for more. Whether you're having lunch or dinner, you get nice size portions. So stop in and enjoy!
Pros: Amazing food, Great atmosphere, Great Service, GREAT PLACE!
Cons: I live too far away!
I am a returning customer to the Grapevine for the past two years. I enjoy eating there because the food is great. It is very tasty, good quality, large portions, and very consistent. The atmosphere is awesome, huge fish tanks which are very beautiful. The service is outstanding, the best I have ever had, their very friendly, nice and happy. The restaurant is always busy because it??s such a good restaurant with great quality food and reasonable prices. They give out many promotions if you dine at the restaurant, not many restaurants do that. A few of my favorite dishes are the apple almond chicken, parmesan panga, filet mignon and the broccoli stuffed chicken. I have many favorites there, they have a large menu with many different things to choose from. I have never had a bad experience there and I recommend everyone to eat there. You will get a delicious dinner with good service at a great price, stop in and enjoy!!!!!
Pros: Great food, Great price, Great Service Can't get any better!
Cons: Nothing, It's amazing!
Variety and Quality: For a modest price, choices include several fish, beef, chicken and vegetarian options. Everything tastes homemade and is served with a smile! The personal touch that is added for customers is something every restaurant would want. We love to bring friends and relatives to "show off" this gem of a restaurant and the wonderful people serving us.
Pros: Most delicious choices
Cons: Never had a negative experience
They have great tasting american and italian food for a fair price and also a nice portion. Salt water fish tanks throughout entire restaurant are very nice, clean and beautiful! They also offer a free customer appreciation program..... can't go wrong with that plus I always recieve great customer service. This is my families favorite place to dine and would recommend it to everyone.
Pros: Wonderful Food, Great atmosphere, Friendly
They have amazing food. I have never had something that I didn't like there. They have the best fish that I have ever tasted. I love all the fishtanks, too.
The food is fabulous, unlike anywhere you have been. Create your own is our favorite.
Make sure you ask to sit next to a fish tank, they are so peaceful!
Gluten free menu gives fellow Celiacs another safe place to eat!
Pros: Has a Gluten Free menu too!
The ambience of this restaurant is quite unique with several saltwater tanks and a new freshwater aquarium. You'll enjoy a delicious menu from burgers and sandwiches to Italian cuisine and fresh seafood. Enjoy a tropical alcoholic beverage in the lounge before dinner or marvel at the outside goldfish pond. The service is top-notch and the french onion soup can't be beat. Also, be sure to try the fried portobello mushroom appetizer and the dessert sampler. You won't be disappointed. Don't forget to ask your server about the Grapevine Rewards Program. It all adds up to a great value.
Pros: Delicious food at a price that won't break the bank
Cons: No Splenda for the unsweetened iced tea
Atmosphere pleasant,waitress superb,food excellent
Pros: Delicious, tender melt in your mouth pork
Been there numerous times. Never had a bad experience. Every meal we've had, has been delicous. The staff makes you feel welcomed.
Pros: All food is of highest quality
Cons: No room for dessert
We visited on a Wednesday night. Eventhough it was hard to find parking there was no wait time!! We loved the tuscan stuffed mushroom appetizer and the steak was outstanding. Why vgo to a steakhouse when it tastes better at The Grapevine??? We will be returning soon to try the Friday fish fry and Sunday brunch!
Pros: Great Value
I have been dining in The Grapevine for about 3 years and always enjoy my experience. My favorit e dish is Chicken Parmesan or Seafood Stuffed Chicken. The servers are very happy and the prices are very reasonable. I love the saltwater fish tanks and the sharks! I enjoy the ranch dressing and crisscut fries too!
The new furniture is awesome too! Happy Eating.........
Pros: Great food, happy servers and reasonable prices
Cons: Ate too much
The food was good for the price. Fishtanks are cool. Servers were friendly & Prompt. Nice variety of food items.
Pros: Cleanest Kitchen in town
Cons: Parking lot always full
Independant restaurant with good food and service. The price is the best part! You can eat here and get delicious food for the same price you can get ok food at any chain. The atmosphere is casual, YES you can wear jeans or shorts. I have heard many say this is fine dining but it is not! The best part is all of the saltwater fishtanks and they just put a new fishtank in that has no top and lets the water flow over the side. Give this restaurant a try!
Pros: Close to 290 and near maple rd
Cons: Parking lot looked full but no wait to be seated
I went there a few times with my husband. And never went back. They seem to go through alot of employees. The fish in the fish tanks where bigger than my fish fry. In which I didn't like the fish or the cole slaw. I found it to be to expensive for what you get. I do like atmosphere and you pay atmosphere prices they don't have.Friendly ness and more experience go along way in Restaurants.
Read the reviews on this site and was kind of turned off but the buffalo news food critic gave them a great review and I took a chance on this place. I thought it was great, I dont like fancy restaurants but I like good food and this place is informal but the food was great. We had a lobster and crab dip for an appetrizer (similar to the one at Jack Astors) and it was very good. I really enjoyed the stuffed pork chops they give you two large chops that were tender and tasty. my girlfriend had salmon and said it was an excellent piece of fish. The menu is really big, we are looking foreward to exploring our way through it! Decor is nice with a bunch of salt water fish tanks. It seems to always be busy so I would call ahed to get on the wait list.
Pros: excellent experience overall
I have been to the grapevine 3 times and all 3 times I was very disappointed. I thought the food was bland and of poor quality. I don't get what the deal is with this place, they are always busy. My parents have been given gift certificates for here and both times they have said the same thing.
Cons: Poor food
We stopped into The Grapevine on the reccomendation of friends and definetly were not dissapointed. This is not a fancy restaurant its casual, has 5 fish tanks and one of them is very large with very cool fish. I have never been in a restaurant where everyone is so friendly! I had this bourbon pork that was topped with onion strings and it was very good. my wife had a parmesan topped tilapia that she said it was excellent. I thought the prices were reasonable, about 35 dollars for the two of us and it was a really good meal. I hope you all like it too!
Pros: 5 cool fish tanks, food, service
Cons: parking is limited
Well, I think we're losing what used to be a pretty good place to eat. The last 3 times we were in, over the last year, it was so humid and smelled so strong like dirty fish tanks, that the meal couldn't be enjoyed. The last time we asked to be seated in a room with no tanks and that was much better. We've had most everything on the menu and I can only recommend the scallops, (done fried or broiled in the lime cream sauce), the fish fry and the french onion soup. The service is great!!! Unfortunately, the food is just not very impressive.
Pros: Great Service
Cons: Humid and Stinky
The variety on the menu is amazing, and what is even more remarkable is that everything is delicious. The dilemma is deciding what to order. Great food and great atmosphere.
Pros: variety, service, atmosphere
I don't know why this restaurant is listed under Italian, since it's most definitely American.
That being said, it's very good, not great, though, in my opinion, but in terms of value, amazing (sorry, not awesome: that only refers to birth ,death, and sunrise and sunset.) . I don't currently live in Buffalo, but visit my mom a couple of times a year and we like to go here. She likes to take my cousin's grandchildren here for the fish tanks, which is a warning: IT IS VERY LOUD AT PEAK HOURS. (Filled with kids if you don't go at the right times. Right times means early supper, late lunch.)
That being said, the food is VERY good for the price. We used to go here only for lunch (everything is good, soup, sandwiches), but I've found dinner an even better choice. Dinner fare, we often would go to a "fancier" place in Kenmore where I enjoy veal; here, it's half the price and, frankly , better. Tender and subtly spiced. They make their own rolls, and if you're lucky you'll get the dill-spiced, which run out fast. Deeelicious.
They also have some great Buffalo-style promos: Birthday Club (free meal) and a regular's promo where if you go x times you get a free meal (off already amazingly low prices). Also be aware, their portions are huge so get the smaller size if you don't want to become king sized!
The place is popular, so parking fills up fast. Enjoy!
Amazing aquariums throughout! Awesome fishpond outside! I had the create your own platter with Apple Almond Chicken & Baked Haddock and my wife had Basil crusted grouper, I dont know how they give you such great food for $12. There Chef makes the best Chocolate Peanutbutter pie I have ever had. Get there quick before everyone else finds out about it!!
Pros: Aquqriums, Great Food, Friendly Service
Not bad. Reasonable priced. Decent Food. Nice Saltwater Fish Tanks.
