After reading reviews on citysearch i decided to try this restaurant out. I went here this past saturday night and was amazed at how well we were treated. The pasta i ordered was cooked perfectly. They sat us quickly and the service was very helpful when choosing our meal. The Dessert was great too. I would definitely come back and try some of the other options.

I have to say that Bella Luna has some great pasta! We were in the mood for some delicious, big portions, and warm food. We found Bella Luna and knew that we had made the right choice! The staff was really friendly from start to finish and our waitress was observant of us but not over bearing. The food was exactly what we were looking for. Warm, comforting Italian. I had the raviloi with ricotta cheese and red sauce and my boyfriend had the lamb shank. Both were terrific. Also as it turns out on wednesdays they have 1/2 priced wine night. which rocks. Definitely will be back!

I think Bella Luna is a great choice for lunch or dinner on the UWS. I've had really terrific meals at a reasonable price and in a friendly setting. What more could I want? They're accommodating with my diet restrictions too without attitude like some other UWS places. I totally recommend Bella Luna.
Pros: Friendly, good alone at the bar or in groups.

Such great big portions of pasta... and so tasty. The food is good. The wine is good. The service is also good. I recommend it for anyone in the mood for two meals worth of food for a decent price. Also, they have take out and delivery. Both are great. You must try carpaccio di manzo and linguine "Bella Luna".

I went to Bella Luna after completing the NYC marathon. I didn't have a reservation and we had a large group, but they welcomed us with open arms and immediately accomodated our group. The service was very attentive, but not overbearing. The food was phenomenal. The lobster ravioli was to die for! This restaurant has a friendly, neighborhood vibe. Dinner is inexpensive, especially for the UWS. I will return to this establishment.

Whenever I go to this restaurant I've never had one bad experience. The staff were always helpful, polite & courteous. Every server we've had was always great & the food is never disappointing. The price is unbeatable & the ambience is even better. Nice place to have a date and dine casually on a weekly basis. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends & family since I've always had such a great time here. The calamari is great & so is the shrimp scampi

The resturant is outstanding. The service is very attentive. Food is excellent; especially the specials. Nice place for a date. Drinks are good, too. Could use an update on red wine list. I recommend, and I'm picky!

The service needs a great deal to be desired. Also, the food quality has slipped. Become too commercial for its own goos - I think this place has seen better days - time to look for the next haunt. As it goes in NYC, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

I visited Bella Luna by accident... my best friend and I were walking down Columbus Ave one night and we asked a passing woman where a good place to eat was...she recommended Bella Luna... what an exquisite meal we had! From the bread dipped in Olive Oil to the mouth-watering pasta dishes... the ambiance is very relaxing and quiet... a great place for a romantic dinner or even just a night out with friends...
Pros: No kids, Great Service, Not Crowded
