We've stayed at Galusha's for a week for four of the last five summers, three at Last Camp and one at the cabin just up the hill from it. Both have similar amenities (you bring your own bed linens, towels and soap) but Last Camp has the best views. If you want a rustic, lakeside camp, with stupendous misty morning views of Lewey Lake and Snowy Mountain from your bedroom, and all the peace and quiet of watching perfect sunsets over Lewey Mountain reflected on Lewey Lake while sitting just 10 feet from the water, then this is the place for you. Whether canoeing up the Miami River to the south or down past the Lewey Lake Campsite near the entrance to Indian Lake, ducks, bullfrogs, and occasional loons abound. The refrigerator, hot water shower, stove and bathroom were all clean and functioned well. Yes, Galusha's Lodge is rustic, but isn't that what you go to the Adirondacks for?

I have stayed here for four summers now. If you are looking for a luxurious place, then stay away, this is not for you.
If you are looking for a nice hunter's cabin, incredible views, a place to cook your food outdoors - while being away from everyone else, ducks that walk up the beach to meet you (yes, they want to be fed), and the occasional bald eagle, then this place is for you.
Amenities are sparse (no TV, radio, etc), but you come here to be with nature - to escape all that. My wife and son love it, and we plan to come back next year.

This place was horrible. If Leatherface came out of a hole in the floor while I was sleeping and started his chainsaw I would not have been surprised. The view is great but sadly this place has just been run into the ground. I would stay away, far away. There are so many nicer places in the Adirondacks, such as a tent or even an outhouse.

This place is a complete and total dump. We rented two cabins over the summer and sadly went by what we thought was an accurate description on the internet. The cabins are literally falling down, there was no toilet paper, towels, or any type of cleaing supplies. The stove and microwave did not work, the water tank was leaking in the bathroom, the toilet didn't flush, there were mice, etc. The only lawnchairs to use at the "firepit" were broken and covered in mildew and we had to pull some others out of the woods down by the water. We felt completely ripped off and because we had no other options at that time, our hands were tied. DO NOT STAY HERE. I SHOULD HAVE SLEPT IN MY CAR. THEY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR FALSE ADVERTISING. I GIVE THIS A ZERO STAR RATING.
