If you are looking for a great authentic Japanese place, Riki is a great place to have a tapas style Japanese dinner. The prices all very reasonable with small plates being under $10. The entrees are also very reasonable with most being under $15. I had the omu-rice which was good but a little too ketchupy. The soup/ramen entrees are delicious. Overall, this place is very authentic and frequented by many Japanese people. The service is a bit rushed as I guess they seem to turn tables quickly but, they are polite about it. A cozy, authentic, inexpensive place to have Japanese food.

Pros: Low Prices, good food, authentic food

Cons: Slightly rushed service

Food and drink is not cheap, but reasonable for this part of town. The staff was somewhat less than on-the-ball. Polite? Oh yes! They're Japanese. Efficient? Well... a little less Japanese:

Us (in Japanese): If anyone asks for Drink Club, send them here.
Them: Wakarimashita
Ai, on entering (in Japanese): I'm looking for Drink Club.
Them (in Japanese): Drink Club? What's Drink Club?

The food is great. Besides typical Japanese dishes, you'll find some Korean fusion food (Kimchi Tofu, for example) and strange pizzas. All-in-all a pleasant experience, just hope no one is trying to find you. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers
