I have been going to Oasis since 2003 and just the best massages. Friendliest and helpful staff. Just starting facials with Rose and she is is amazing. I have had facials at some of the top spas in the city and she is by far the best. Truly analyzes your skin, no pushy sales and no annoying add-ons. M-F at Affinia Hotel location $89 best deal in the City.

I have visited spas throughout the area and I went to Oasis to have a facial and massage. The Massage Therapist, Vickie, has a wonderful touch and gave special attention to the areas of tension in my shoulders, neck and back. I followed that with a facial with Rose who evaluated my skin and taught me some valuable things about taking better care of my face. I left feeling refreshed and revitalized. I will certainly return and recommend it highly - thanks very much to Anna, who recommended this package and made the reservation for me.

I recently moved to NYC & went to the salon@ Oasis Day Spa for haircut & highlights. Ray (Senior Colorist/Stylist) examined the state of my dry hair, gave me a detail consultation & recommended that I update my hairstyle & color. He suggested a hair cut & highlights that will suit my face, features, hair textures, skin tone & lifestyle.
Thankfully, I listened to him. Ray (trained in London at Vidal Sassoon, Wella & L'Oreal Studio) did highlights, lowlights & conditioning on my hair & turned it from a dull looking to sleek, healthy beautiful color. He updated my haircut, gave me a long soft layers & soft side swipe bangs that is very chic, sexy & easy to manage. I absolutely love the results!
He also gave me tips & advices on the best way to take care of my hair at home.
I get lots of compliments on my color & cut.
Ray's attention to details, friendly personality & skills really won me over. Even my mum love it & said, "That is the best highlights color & haircut you ever got".
I highly recommend Ray at the Salon @ Oasis. Call today, you will be pleasantly surprise!

Every year I am given a gift certificate to Oasis Spa. I opted to use the certificate for a brazilian bikini wax with Marietta. I have gone to the "best" places on the East and West coasts and I can tell you this was the most pain free bikini wax I have ever had! I will definitely be back.

Maracella (sp?) also did a great job with my pedicure. Although I miss Edith who was fantastic as well, but no longer there.

Poor quality facial - don't do it,

i went to oasis day spa a few years ago for the first time.
it was great! so i went back again to have same 30 minute facial and i was very dissapointed.
The therapist didn't even use massage cream. I asked her if she was going to use it, then she told me that
only 1hour facial gets massage cream. What a crock of BS. Therapist just put the mask on and wiped it off. i can do this myself at home.
Why should I spent 70dollars for this???
i will never go back there again for facial.
Aso, sauna is not working and front desk sfaff was not nice. it is not the same place i once knew.
don't know why...maybe under different ownership???

DONT GO---GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

My wife finally had a chance to use a gift certificate from Oasis day spa near Park Ave. To make a long story short, she was not happy with her massage and even asked the masseur (male massage therapist) to slow down three times to no avail. She works really long hours and desperately needed to relax. In addition, she mentioned that Oasis (at least this location) does not have a Sauna, Steam room or other amenities that typically add a tremendous value to the whole experience of a massage. I could sit here and name the massage therapist but I am not going to do that. He could have been having a bad day and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

As for the management of Oasis Spa, they have absolutely lost any hope for future business from my family. The day after her massage I called to give Oasis Spa some feedback. I figured any business would be happy to hear feedback from their customers. Not true. The first time I called they told me that the massage manager Bruce Bolt was too busy to speak with me and that he would call me back. A couple days go by and he does not return my call. So, I call back and speak with one of the shift managers. She is nice and tells me again that he will be in Thursday and will call me back. Again, no call.

Finally this morning they call back to tell me that they spoke with the massage therapist and he said my wife only asked him to slow down once. They implied that since he has been there for 13 years they were taking his word over ours. The fact that he even remembered someone being unhappy is telling enough. They actually suggested that she should have gotten up during the massage and left the room if she wasn't happy. The shift manager basically tells me that they understand that we are unhappy and can offer us a 15% discount at another location. 15% and the manager not even taking the time to call back is insulting. This was a nice gesture, but honestly, if the massage manager himself can't find two minutes to speak with an unhappy customer, than that speaks volumes about the type of spa they are running over there. 15% is a joke considering the poor experience my wife had. Even with a 50% discount and a guarantee of their best therapist I would have had to think about it. Save your money for a better experience elsewhere.

I treated myself to the spa for my bday on Nov 3rd. I initially had an appointment scheduled for the Park Av location, but because of a scheduling conflict on my part they rescheduled me to the Affinia Dumont location. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the review, but I kept my appointment.

When I arrived I was greeted by Ann, she was very nice and helpful. She escorted me into the dressing room and showed me how to lock up my belongings.

I received a massage by Vicki. She was great. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep a couple times. The only thing I would complain about was the room was a little cold. So before you get started request an extra blanket.

After my massage I got a massage by I believe her name was Rose ( a small Asian woman). She was AMAZING. She was gentle and she told me what was she was doing. She recommended products to me that actually seem to be clearing up my face. My face looked and felt wonderful after I left. I will definitely go back. All around great service.

If you are need of a hair-removing experience, come to Oasis Day Spa. The service is just amazing. Coming from someone who was reluctant to even consider waxing, I have to say that Clara is absolutely the best waxer around. She is compassionate, caters to cowards and is just overrall professional and thorough. I will return to Oasis time and again for future waxing. Thank you Clara for helping me relax and wax!!!!

A true test of any spa is consistency. I've never had a bad massage at Oasis. Every massage I've had is always up to par and invigorating. I'm comfortable with any recommendation they offer when trying different massage therapists.

Their massage therapists are top notch and they actually listen to where you would like them to focus. The massages are what I would call, 'inspiring.' I feel lighter, clearer headed, and have better mobility in my joints.

I was hosting my sisters bachelorette party this weekend and wanted to go to spa not to far from the hotel, accomodating to all the girls, and willing to accept a bachelorette party. We are New Yorkers but live in Westchester and are definetly spa people. When I looked at spa finder for a new spa I came across Oasis on Park.

I have so much to say I am not sure where to start. When I originally called up to make reservations I spoke to Anna who was so wonderful and suggested the event room because we were going to be a party and the event room we could have lunch. What a great idea. She put me intouch with Saida who immediately was able to help me plan a spectacular start to the bachelorette weekend.

If you have the luncheon definetly go for the executive plan. I spoke to Christina on Thursday night to confirm all of the appointments and she suggested the farfalle pasta salad...awesome choice! The private room was awesome, especially being that we were a bunch of girls ready to party...Jackie was a great point person yesterday and everything went so smoothly because of her:) She was great and really helped us to relax and get ready...

2 of us had brown sugar scrubs...vichey shower was AWESOME...2 of us had hot lava stone massages and came out saying that this was the best massage that they had ever had...4 of us ended up getting our hair done at Carmine Forchetti salon and we left ready for a night on the town.

There is so much I could say about this spa...but it may start sounding repetitive:) I cannot wait to come back to this spa and check out the Oasis closer to me in Dobbs Ferry.

Thank you to all of you at Oasis on Park...you helped make my sisters day:)

Ray has colored and cut my hair for years (since I moved to NYC). Trained in London with Wella, Vidal Sassoon, L'Oreal, Ray is very professsional, experienced, creative and friendly. When he creates my Color, Highlights & Hairstyle he forcus on my hair texture, face, features & lifestyle. My personalised hair color highlight & cut grows out beautifully. He gave me detail consultation on the best color care shampoo, conditioner, treatment and styling products to maintain the color and beautiful condition of my hair. I love his professional services. If you are unhappy with your dull lifeless hair conditon, cut, color & need a fresh updated highlights, cut & style, I highly recomand Ray @ the Salon.

After such a hard week I shlepped myself onto Oasis hoping they could "fix" me. Every service I had was wonderful but Hala is a star!!! She made me so relaxed and so comfortable. She is such a sweet lady. And so warm. She made me feel like a queen. I will never go to anyone else. EVER!!!! She is a gem. My skin never felt softer. I was positively glowing. Lavendar salt scrub is where it's at!!! Holla for Hala!!!

The name Oasis accurately described this little piece of heaven my friend and I found on the HOTTEST DAY ON RECORD in NYC. The entire place is first class. Plenty of room, nice locker rooms, great massages. We plan to return, when we return to the city.
Now the bad news (and it's not TOO major). First, fix the steam room. Do what it takes to get the permit already! It would truly be paradise if we had that luxury next time. You are a first class establishment, you don't need a big yellow "order of the board of health" sticker on your steam room door. Next, police the relaxation room. It is a beautiful room with lovely lighting and music and comfortable furniture. However, the water was lukewarm. We SO needed ice that day. I don't know if that is part of the therapy, but ice would be great. Finally, there were some obnoxious women speaking loud enough so everyone HAD to hear their stupid conversation about some wedding blah, blah, blah. The sign says whisper, it would be nice if the staff enforced this rule so we could all relax.
Overall, loved it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone needing a break

I scheduled an entire day of services for me and my friend (who works at a spa herself). We got a wrap, a massage and a facial.

The spa itself is pretty nice. Nothing worth a 5 star rating though. The bathroom in the ladies lounge was out of service, as was the sauna. The products in the shower were the quality you would find at your local gym, not at a top rated spa. There was a relaxation room, like there is at most every spa. But it lacked the extra services you would find at a spa like Great Jones.

The wrap and massage were very mediocre but the facial was horrible. I have gotten numerous facials throughout my life and this was by far the worst I had ever had. The process was not what I'm used to at all. Steps seemed to be cut short, products left out, they didn't use hot towels and the esthetician left the room while my mask set. At Juxenex, they stay with you the entire time. And although they advertise Dermalogica in the spa, they used a product I have never even heard of. Finally, the esthetician was so rough with my skin during the extractions to the point where I felt she was digging into my skin and left me wincing back in pain. I was worried about what my skin would look like after because she was so harsh but decided that "she was the expert' and not to worry.

Well, after the service I looked in the mirror and was horrified. Although I came in with great looking skin (my friend who has a cosmetology degree actually complimented me that morning) it now was completely broken out. I understand that facials can cause flareups. But this was not that at all, my skin was so sore because the esthetician was WAY too rough. I have never had a reaction like that in all the time I have been getting facials. Days went by before the redness and breakouts started to go away.

When I politely mentioned this to the manager. He proceeded to tell me "she was one of the best" and "didn't see how that was possible." I told him, "Look at my face! Here is your proof!" His customer service is why this spa deserves one star. He was so rude and unaccommodating. His solution was to bring another esthetician out in the lobby, and "fix" my face right at the entrance where people pay and come in. My friend told them they should be embarrassed to handle the situation in such an unprofessional way. They should have taken me back to a private room. He then offered me 15% to come back to get another facial. Yeah right! like I am ever going back there to allow them to destroy my face. He didn't offer any type of discount on the facial.

The worst thing about this place was that the management has such novice level training when it comes to customer service. Their motto should be "the customer is always wrong." I did not come here to get free handouts. I came here to spend my hard earned money, and indulge myself and feel beautiful. I left feeling ugly with cortisol shooting through my body. Exactly how you shouldn't feel after leaving a spa!

One final note about how this spa does business. If you look here on Citysearch they have a lot of "rave reviews." I'm sure many of them are planted. But the most shocking thing is not that, or even the bad reviews (many regarding bad facials). It's the business response they give to these negative reviews. Here is a direct quote from the business regarding a client, "In a word she is FUGAZY." Here is another winning quote from Oasis management regarding a review, "We at Oasis have no idea who this might be, it could be a disgruntled former employee." Really Oasis? Is it that impossible that someone could have had a lackluster experience at your spa? Maybe instead of explaining yourselves and pointing the finger at disappointed clients, you should listen to them and improve your business! Is that the way a top rated spa should refer to ANY client? This spa is mediocre at best and the customer service makes this place completely unacceptable.

For Valentine's day this yearm my boyfriend and I purchased the Romance package at Oasis Westchester which included a couple's massage and a gift certificate for dinner at the Red Hat on the River. Although we arrived 30 minutes late to our appointment, the staff made us feel welcome and did the best they could with the time we had left. Our therapists did an amazing job... For me at least it was the best massage ever! I wish I remembered my therapist's name (I think it was Chris or Eric), but I'd definitely try to request him on my next visit.

The spa is beautifully decorated and has a calming atmosphere. I simply cannot wait to go back; arriving on time next time around. Their choice of restaurant was great too! I fully recommend Oasis Westchester. I'd also love to try the one in Manhattan.

I love the fact that they have so much space to make a cozy, romantic lounge where you can relax, enjoy a cup of tea in your robe before or after the treatment. I went there to treat myself for my birthday and was very pleased. I had micro dermabrassion and the lady was really good. Next time i will go there with a date because they have rooms where they can treat 2 people in the same time. Very nice place!

Several weeks ago, I had an amazing massage from a therapist names Paula. It was a "side by side " as we were a couple and Paula gave one of the strongest massages ever. I walked out of there feeling like every muscle of my being was awakened! Just fabulous...
Not sure what her shifts or hours are there, but I strongly suggest that she be asked for as I will when I book again.

A few weeks ago I was going through some turmoil in my life. I decided to treat myself to a spa service. I wanted a massage and facial, however due to such short notice a massage was not available. The receptionist was so sweet and accommodating. I booked my facial with Jen D.

Immediately upon looking at my face she realized that my skin was irritated due to a stressful situation. I was impressed by that and explained that I was crying quite a bit lately.
She instantly told me that if I felt like I needed to cry while the facial was being performed that it was fine with her. She also asked me if I felt like talking about the situation. I thought I did not want to talk about it, but once I started I could not stop.

I just have to say that the facial I received was the most healing and rejuvenating services I have ever experienced. I felt a bit "lighter" leaving the spa.

Also, every staff member I came into contact with was so helpful, friendly and professional.

I will be coming back to Oasis sooner than later!

Myself and other bridesmaids planned a Bachelorette Party here for our friend who was getting married. We booked the party room along with our services months in advance and were very excited for the event. We were exteremly disappointed for several reason's. First the spa had no heat so we had to walk around in bath robe's freezing our butts off. In my opinion we should have been called ahead of time and told about the condition's in the spa and should have been allowed to cancel our event if we felt that the cold was going to bother us. Secondly we had reserved a "party" room at $25 a girl and were not allowed to use it until after everyone's service was complete. So girls were forced to sit around the spa until the room opened up. Also we were only given Snapples, wraps and a cheese platter. We weren't even offered bottled water!! We expressed our concerns to the owner who than responded by handing us a $50.00 dollar off coupon if we spend $500.00 or more. Really!!! I feel that other girls who are thinking about hosting a party here should know that the party room is not worth the price you pay and the people who work there can be very RUDE!

My boyfriend, offered to purchase a massage appointment for his visiting mother and sister. I chose Oasis because I had been to there former Union Square location and I didn't want to take the time to research. I made the appointments via phone. My boyfriend gets on the phone to confirm the use of his credit card for the gift certificates. We make it clear that these appointments were a gift to his family and they should not be expected to pay for anything. Oasis said they would fax over an authorization form for my boyfriend to sign and fax back. Well, hours later that didn't happened. I called again. They said I could write an email detailing everything. I did. I followed up. They said everything was okay. I asked them to run the card and get payment out of the way. They said they would fax over a receipt. They didn't. I called and they said they were very busy and the receipt would be given to the client. I explained that was unacceptable. At this point I wanted to cancel, but the family already were told and given the address. I didn't want to disappoint so I told the family to get the receipt. Well, on the day of the appointment my boyfriend gets a frantic call from his mother stating that the card was declined. Turns out the card wasn't declined for lack of funds, but because the receptionist keep entering a wrong digit. Too much stress for an overpriced massage

My name is Steve and this past Saturday I sent my girlfriend Samantha
and 11 of her Friends to your Spa for a relaxation day and NYC Spa
experience for her Birthday.. My good friend Stephanie helped me
coordinate the event, and basically handled all dealings with you
guys. Stephanie only had very good things to say about Heather, and
that was appreciated.

My impression of your spa and the experience that your guests are able
to enjoy was stellar. I wanted to personally add how sweet and
helpful Heather was during the finalization of appointments, and
payment. Heather truly displayed great customer service and will
definitely be the person who I would want to deal with again. Oasis
made Samantha and her party feel wonderful, and I wanted to thank you
personally for accommodating such a large party. Lastly, and most
importantly wanted to thank you for helping me give Samantha a 25th
Birthday she will never forget.

I've been going to Oasis for a few years and have seen a couple different aestheticians for facials. I must say that Evelyn is by far the best. Not only does my skin look absolutely amazing after I see her, but she always has honest and helpful advice about how to improve the condition of my skin at home. Not to mention, her facial is more relaxing and therapeutic than any massage I've ever had at Oasis or elsewhere. I wish I could go once a month!

My sister and I took advantage of every Spa Week special we could manage, and went to 7 spa's in the span of a week and half. Oasis was one of the 2 spa's that actually felt like a REAL spa experience (the other one was Clay Spa on 14th). Even tho the place was completely packed, we didn't feel rushed, the facilities were pristine, and the staff was professional and courteous. We wanted to take advantage of every offer, so I had a massage and a body wrap, and my sister had a facial and a massage. We were there for literally half a day and nobody rushed us out. Our treatments were done in full without a minute less. Hala is THE BEST, you have to get your body treatments at Oasis with HALA! I've never had a body wrap before and she just made it sooooooo relaxing and I was just in heaven. I talked to another customer in the relaxation lounge in between treatments and they said I should come during the week when the place isn't so crowded and I will definitely do that especially when they have weekly specials. Good job Oasis!

I totally disagree with "micma's" review. I venture to Oasis Day Spa at least twice a month, and the staff there is nothing but FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, and KIND. I think that "micma" has serious issues that only a trained professional can handle. Do you even know how it is to work in retail in NYC? Our motto is "If you see something, say something" and if you were acting suspicious, then Oasis has the right to confront you. If it wasn't for the great relaxing experience at Oasis Day Spa, I probably would have turned into you- a babbling nut job!!!! I love getting facials by Mimi, she is the absolute best. Hala does the best body scrubs and wraps- she will wash away your worries!! When i am stressed out, I turn to Chad, Kevin A or Nancy. I think "micma" should go back into Oasis and apologize for all the non sense and slander. The owner is right, you ARE and ugly person.

I got a massage a little while back but never got a chance to comment. The lady that took care of me was very friendly, but I don't think I got the full time. I came 15min. early to change and everything, waited till the called me, got my massage, but then when I came back to the locker room to change, I noticed my on my watch that the hour just finished. How could have the hour just finish and I'm already in the locker room changing, shouldn't I still be in the room finishing the massage?

I had a 60 min lava stone massage on 1 Park Ave. I arrived, checked in and waited 2mins to go to the back to change. As I was locking my things into the locker a receptionist came to me and stated she needed to speak to me. I was taken to out into a hallway where she proceed to accuse me of taking a soap from the front. I was shocked and dunbfounded!? I told her I did not take anything and insisted she look through my things. She looked and found nothing. She told me she was sorry(which did not come across as sorry) and to go to the relaxation room and enjoy the massage. I went to the room but became increasing angry. I went to find the manager because she had not come to me. I waited a few minutes for her. The manager informed me she just found out what happened. I proceeded to tell her I would not steal and insisted she look through my purse and bag, where I took everything out. She stated she was sorry and she would take care of it. I was very upset because I have never been accused of stealing and have no criminal record even a speeding ticket. The manager was condescending, unapologetic and arrogant. She told me to stop freaking out and to enjoy my massage. I was so angry, I wanted to leave but I was afraid my friends credit card would be charged and I did not want him to pay for it. I now wish I had just walked out. I went for the massage which I did not enjoy because I could not relax and could not believe how I was just treated. Once I got out and back into the reception area. I saw the manager, once she saw me, she ran out of the recepion area into the back out of sight. The receptionist checked me out charging me full price. I told her she needed to speak to the manager. The receptionist left and came back stating I was to get 10% off. I was slapped in the face again to pay for an experience that was surreal and horrible at the same time. I have send an email to the owner of oasis and conde nast traveler because they said this was the best spa in nyc. I believe the spa was great at one time but because they have been no. 1 for so long the have reached thier peak and now on the down slope. To accuse a client of stealing and then to be unapoligetic once they realize they were wrong is completely unacceptiable. I would not want this experience to happen to anyone else. I was on holiday when I had this experience and live in chicago where I get spa treatments atleast every other month. I have NEVER been treated so RUDELY. I was in NY for a 911 fundraiser for Scott Schieling 5k. TUNNEL to TOWERS Run. I have read some of the comments from the owner of this spa (on city search) prior to this posting and he really needs to employ better people with Great customer service . This is a nice spa but I have been to better and only better because they appreciate my money.

2009 has been unkind to me. I know that most people are hurting now, but this year so far I feel like I was being punished for something bad from a past life. My sisters said I just need to relax, and I will feel better. I did not believe that it would help me when they gave me a Gift Certificate for Oasis Day Spa, but I am a believer now. From the moment I stepped into the spa this weekend, I was treated like a queen. My massage erased the tension this year has brought upon me, last night I slept well for the first night in months. My facial gave me a beautiful glow. The Salt Scrub was relaxing as well, I wish I could have that shower at my house! The only "problem" was, when I checked out, the lovely receptionist gave me a postcard of Oasis' new spa in Westchester - it has an outside garden!! But alas it was too far from me. Perhaps for my birthday in a few months, I will ask for a day trip to Westchester, just to experience their Rooftop Massage. I wonder if they can serve margaritas LOL. Thank you my sisters, and thank you Oasis for reminding me that this is just a bad year, there are still lovely things in this world.

We just hosted a party at the Oasis Day Spa's Rooftop Garden in Dobbs Ferry, NY. What a fantastic party. The atmosphere was spectacular and the chair massages were a great add on....our guests loved it! We used the spa recommended caterer who was very professional and helped us customize a menu for our party. Our guests raved about the food. We brought in a DJ and danced the night away under the stars! This rooftop is a must see. The staff was attentive, polite and accommodating. I would highly recommend considering this space for a party or to chill out after a treatment. We had about 40 guests but the space can comfortably hold a lot more. We were thrilled with our experience there!

I called several times to get some idea of the packages they offer for parties of 10 or more because I was trying to book a day for a party for my colleagues. No one called me back. The guy who took my call a second time kept saying he doesn't have control over when anyone might call me back. Then he went on to say he doesn't have control over my decision! This was when I explained I needed the information soon or I'd just have to go with a different spa for my party.

They used to be pretty decent until a couple of years ago - the last time I went there. Not sure what happened since then. But if this is their service over the phone, I'm doubtful that I'm going to find any experience at the spa itself relaxing or stress-free!

If you are like me and seek first-class customer service from business your patronize, Oasis on Park may not be for your. Unlike other establishments in the same industry, Oasis' only concern is making a profit and places no value on building and cherishing relations with former customers. In all my years of living in NYC, I have never been treated in such a disrespectful manner and would not wish such treatment on my worse enemy.

Years ago, I found a lovely spa on irving--oasis. Since then the place expanded and with that has lost its charm and cleanliness! The service is good, but you pay for an experience. Now you feel like a number in a factory. Most disappointing is the lack of cleanliness in the showers and locker room. Equally annoying is the fact that it is hard to find a locker because of the crowd and the fact that housekeeping uses them for storage. Given the choices in nyc, it would take a lot to get me back.

The spa is truly lovely - my facial ended 10 minutes earlier then it was supposed to and at least 15 minutes of my facial I was left in the room with a treatment on my face. Huge pet peeve during a facial. When I told their staff about my shortened facial they did not care at all. I reluctantly have been there since, each time their front desk service was delivered the same level of service to me as if I were calling to get an appointment to service my car. For such a lovely place, their service staff really needs to check themselves and understand that a spa is where people go and pay money to be pampered from the strees of everyday life.
The objective here is to service the customer and make them feel wonderful, especially so they'll want to come back. Whoever manages that spa needs to attend leadership in customer service 101 again. In this economy when people really don't have the money to spend on a spa, service really costs nothing. Today after yet another frustrating conversation with one of their "appointment reps" I'm done with Oasis. I've spent enough money there and time writing this review. What a shame.

This was my first visit to oasis and I was so pleasantly surprised!!! I had a salt scrub with Hala and a facial with Mickey, both were amazing. I usually get my scrubs at Bliss and they're ok but compared to Hala they are terrible. She is so attentive. She helped me relax after a rough day, massaged me and rubbed my head. It felt so good!!! Mickey was great too!! She was very sweet and informative. The most relaxing facial I have ever had. Super gentle extractions and great massage. When I left there my face and body were glowing!!! And still are!!! I can't wait to go back!!!

In mid Febuary I decided to do a facial just before a trip, for give my face a much needed treat. Reading reasonably good reviews on Citysearch, I decided to try Oasis Spa. Scheduling it last minute, I was told it'd be done by Dgamara (or some name like that). She was friendly and explained the procedure. But when she started, she would message around my eye area with very high speed a couple of times her fingers poked my eyeballs. I was so nervous that I had to keep my eyes tightly shut all the time, nothing to say about relaxation! After some time I decided to speak out, so she would stay away from my eye area. Nonetheless, she just has very heavy hands. Even when she put shields on my eyes I would feel the significant pressure. Finally when she messaged around my jaw area, she scratched it with her fingernails with such speed I felt terrible pain. A coulple of days later I would still feel the swell and see the scratches on my face!

And that was not all. Throughout the process, the hot steam from a blower was either so burningly hot, or when it was moved a bit away it became very weak. Besides, there was a fan in the room which ran all the time to provide ventialtion (?), so instead of the music I heard from the waiting area, the noise accompanied the entire procedure.

Overall it was a bad experience, especially compared to the facial experience I had with other spas, where it was not only very relaxing, but my face would glow for the next days. Not here! So I will not do facials with Oasis, certainly not with this lady who was kind but only suits those with elephant skin!!

I do not mean to embarass the spa and the lady, nor am I a diligent writer - that is why it took so long for me to post it. But this is the only venue I could let the spa know about my bad experience, and to share it with other customers.

Cons: service, equipment

My husband and I have been Oasis customers for the past 2 years. We normally go to the Affinia Dumont location because we like the steam room, but we have been to the Park Avenue location several times and not once have we had a bad experience. Everyone at the front desk is friendly and helpful and the massages are fantastic - worth every penny! I especially recommend Gina and Kevin A. They both give strong, effective massages. We are their loyal clients because they always give us their best. Linda and Carrie are also excellent, especially in prenatal massages. It's not very fancy but the price is very fair. It's not overpriced like other spas in NYC and we always get a full hour of massage. You can't go wrong.

I had the worst facial I have ever had at the Oasis Day Spa. After my facial, my face broke out into a terrible rash. I had the facial on a Saturday and meetings with clients the following Monday and Tuesday. I could barely wear make-up even two days later because my skin was still burning. Later that week, my skin peeled from the rash and dehydration. When I left my facial, the technician informed me that my skin would be red for twenty minutes- it took over a week for my face to recover. My skin has never peeled on my face and facials are supposed to hydrate skin, not dry it out. Over the course of my life, I have had maybe 15-20 facials and never a reaction. What is worse is that when I contacted the spa to find out exactly what product they used on my skin, I never received a call back. I would think twice before booking a facial at this spa.

My husband took me to the new Oasis Day Spa in Dobbs Ferry for a massage and facial as a birthday treat. I have been to Oasis in the city at Park Avenue before and I wondered how the Westchester experience would be. As you might guess, they have loads more room there--the waiting area, dressing rooms are huge, and beautifully arranged. The manager was very welcoming and escorted me around the facilities...It's winter now but in the summer there will be a rooftop relaxation deck! Everything is clean and fresh. One of the aspects that I love about Oasis is the quality of their professional staff. The masseur was attentive, listened to my requests and gave a beautiful massage. The facialist was also attentive to my skin allergies and I had a facial that left my skin glowing and moist. They do not push you to buy anything. Yet, they do tell you everything they are using. A number of the products are available in the waitng area. They carry so many different brands. I am very keen on Dermalogica...the Multivitamin Mask and Moisture Barrier were introduced to me by Oasis staff and I get great results. They have many other services too...mani/pedi, couples massage. I went for a basic and they had a holiday sale going at the time. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get to from the Saw Mill. Enjoy a treat in Westchester.

Pros: clean, new, modern, attentive professional staff, varied approaches, great products

Cons: the entrance to the spa is utilitarian...the building houses a gym...the spa experience starts inside.

The total spa experience was great. The relaxation room was very relaxing and offered water, tea and healthful snacks for in between treatments. My massage by Carrie was wonderful. She applied just the right amount of pressure and almost put me to sleep. I then had the mini-facial which was not so great. The mini facial consisted of some exfoliation and a quick mask, all of which I could have done at home for myself, and not for $65!! I was very disappointed in my facial.
I would probably return to the spa because the overall atmosphere was nice, but I would just stick with a massage. The facial definitely wasn't worth it!

I went to Oasis Day Spa on Park this past week and it was amazing. I had a great 90 minute massage by Kevin A. and a relaxing facial by Patricia. Oasis Day Spa is not only friendly, but a very nice and large spa for New York standards. Since I work at a company that is helping to pioneer the spa industry, SpaFinder, I know how hard spas, and the luxury industry in general, is struggling in this economy. Oasis Day Spa has counteracted this by offering great specials- I used their January Thursday Deal which was purchase any 90 minute service, and receive a free 30 minute service. Everyone that worked there was very nice and welcoming and it was an all-round relaxing experience. The only thing that concerned me was my credit card was charged for the wrong amount by accident but immediately was noted and the money was put back on the card. We'll see once I get my credit card statement- but a great experience and will def. be going back soon hopefully this time for a 90 minute facial!

It was my first time at the Oasis Day Spa on Park Ave, I booked a Multivitamin Facial, a hot stone pedicure, and a Signature manicure in order to pamper myself to get ready for New Year's Eve. Because of timing issues, I had to book the manicure separately the following day, which wasn't a problem at all for me. When I entered the spa the lady who greeted me was very nice which was great after a long day at work. My treatment started right on time. My pedicurist was friendly but not fake and did a wonderful job on my toes which a week later still look as fresh as the day I walked out of the spa. The only problem I have with the treatment is that she didn't realize it was a hot stone pedicure, so be sure to confirm your treatment with your specialist before you start it! She was very friendly about the confusion and accommodating. She gave me the hot stone massage with no sass! The hot stone treatment was amazing and the massage was just enough pressure! I then was ushered into the locker room and relaxation room. When I was in the relaxation room, there were only a few other people there, so it was very quiet and serene, perfect to relax in before a facial. My facialist, Jennifer, did a spectacular job. She explained everything before she did anything and was very gentle on my sensitive and dry skin. Her hands were VERY relaxing and I almost fell asleep multiple times! Even though she only gave me a quick massage on my shoulders/arms/hands it was so relaxing and melted away most of the stress. I was so relaxed after, it felt like I had just come out of a yoga session! My skin looked amazing, fresh and clean afterward for days. I went into the relaxation room after my treatment to find it filled which was a bit of a downer because people were talking rather loudly. The snacks and tea were a great way to polish off the treatment! I was highly disappointed with my manicure, polish wasn't done well, and chipped easily, and treatment was VERY rushed and only 30 minutes.

This is my first posting on Citysearch. I decided to take my entire family to Oasis as a holiday present. Seven of us went to Oasis Day Spa in Dobbs Ferry for massages. This resulted in a great family experience. The day was set up by their manager, Yvette. She was a total professional who took the time and energy to accomodate my request for seven massage therapists at the same time. She was able to do this for the day after Thanksgiving. I know that this was not easy to do. She expertly coordinated the desires of each of us with respect to the type of therapist that each of us wanted.

The spa is beautiful and has an air of relaxation. The massage therapists were warm and friendly, but did not interfere with the quiet of the massagest. They provided just the right amount of pressure that suited each of our desires. Some liked it gentle while some liked deep tissue.

While the spa recently opened, We didn't experience some of the growing pains usually associated with a new business. As the spa is located in the same building as a New York Sports Club gym, we were able to work out and then end the afternoon with a relaxing massage.

I strongly recommend this Spa to all of you. Westchester has been missing a great spa and now we have one.

I visited the Oasis Spa in Dobbs Ferry last Saturday afternoon and I truly enjoyed the facial I experienced. The environment was quite relaxing and beautiful. It was quite exciting to come to this brand new facility.

The only thing that bothered me was my treatment in the reception area. They came across as kind of cold and snobbish. I would have hoped to receive a warmer welcome at the front desk.

Gorgeous spa with lovely staff. They are truly caring individuals who are great at their jobs. Besides the brazilian, I received the best Swedish Massage I've ever had at this spa.

I have been getting facials for many years. Recently, I went to Oasis to get a facial by Natie. It was the worst ever!! She talked to me for the whole hour. I just wanted to relax but she wouldn?t be quiet. Then when it was over she talked to me for another 5 minutes about supplements that she wanted me to buy at Whole Foods. I would definitely not recommend anyone going to her for a facial.

Ever since Mickey left Oasis my "ladyparts" have not been the same!!! I tried other waxers at Oasis, I even ventured off to other spas: no one compares!!! They would never tell me where she went!!!! But lo and behold I stopped in at the spa one day by chance; and there she was!!!! I was so excited to see her I booked a brazilian with her right away!!! Now I have tried a ton of other waxers in my time and she is by far the best Brazilian waxer EVER!!! Super quick (usually under 12 minutes) and virtually painless!! She will make you feel so comfortable. Always has a funny story to tell you and before you know it it's DONE!!!

I highly reccommend her!!! Oh and I almost forgot!!! My eyebrows have never looked better either. She truly has a gift!!! You will love her!!!!!

i went to oasis day spa when they were having their 10 year anniversary specials. maybe it's because their prices were knocked back to 1998 levels that the place was so busy, but first and foremost, the waiting room was so crowded and so noisy! it was definitely NOT a relaxing atmosphere, although i could see how it would be when it wasn't so busy. the ladies' changing area was lovely, very well stocked, even had yummy treats!
my facial was quite nice, and the woman who gave me my facial was lovely. she gave me some insight into my skin and so far her advice has been very helpful!
my massage was less exciting....he had very rough hands that seemed callused, which is one of the last thing a massage therapist's hands should be!! i specifically asked him to work on my neck and shoulders and he barely got into any knots. i also understand what another reviewer said about the shaky/squeaky tables sounding like they were going to break....the table was a little wobbly, but i was never concerned that i would go crashing to the ground.

all in all, i will not be going back to oasis, it doesn't seem worth the money to me for a massage....although i might consider it for a facial if they do another special (or perhaps spa week).
