Ratings_icons Excellent massage experience at oasis

jimmychooshoes

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I booked a swedish massage with Kevin A at the Park ave location...it was one of the most satisfying massages i've ever had. I've had many massages at many spas all over the city and i think i finally found my massage therapist!!!! The massage was very deep and cleansing and i felt amazing afterwards. He focused on the issues and put me back together. The following day there was some soreness but no other discomfort. I would definately go back to oasis again. THe locker room was stocked and clean, the staff was friendly, the massage was excellent. Overall a great experience. Thanks.

Ratings_icons Part II: Suggestions

meagain1982

* I was double charged accidentally, which is VERY annoying. They are trying to fix that issue right now * The pictures make it look much bigger than it actually is -- the sauna in the men's lounge can fit maybe 3 men max! * Perhaps the green hydrotherapy towels should be used for massages instead, as that seems to be a consistent complaint (though I didn't personally have a problem with it) * The lobby can tend to be loud * I wore swim trunks for my Sea Scrub as the website suggested, but Hala asked me to change into the disposable wear -- which the site specifically says is for WOMEN. I didn't think there would be much difference, but they definitely are not built for men ... you are covered with a towel as well, but it was a bit awkward. Please get these to fit men or in larger sizes! I am a Size 32 Waist and it barely fit around me, much less in ... other areas. Also, if someone is going in for more than one treatment, more thought should go in scheduling the order. I don't think an oily massage really makes sense after a sea scrub that cleanses the skin. More time should also be allowed between treatments so that the sauna and relaxation room can be actually enjoyed. AGAIN, I'd like to reiterate that I had a great time at Oasis and would return -- these are simply things I noticed.

Pros: See Part I...

Cons: Double Charged, Disposable Wear

I went in for a Gentleman's Getaway (Sea Scrub, Meltdown Massage, Seaweed Facial) and added the Gentleman's Mani/Pedi as well.

The facility is nice and clean. I did not feel that anything unsanitary or sub-par. Water/tea/dried fruit/nuts were plentiful, along with magazines and comfortable seating. The lockerroom was small, but again, very clean, and all the therapy rooms had a nice, simple ambience.

Marietta's Facial was fantastic. She let me know what was going on at all times, and I felt very taken care of. Granted, I have nothing to compare it to, as it was my first facial -- but it was such an enjoyable experience and the results definitely show. I need no other proof.

Irina was hilarious! Again, I'm not an aficionado of manicures and pedicures, but the results are great, there was no discomfort, and she was fun to talk to as well. She did seem to have the sniffles and a little cold, which was slightly off-putting, but it wasn't an issue I was overly concerned with.

I enjoyed Max very much, though I wish he had pinpointed the areas I specified during the massage. I attribute this to the actual package, though, which included the Meltdown Massage, not a Deep Tissue, which is probably more of what I was wanting. The heating pads were nice, and I would definitely return to Max, but not for a Meltdown. I found the ending temple massage to be too light and too long; I was a little bit more bored than relaxed.

The scrub with Hala was fine, although not a service I would necessarily return for. I felt I spent more time with the water heads than with the therapist, but that said, I didn't mind the treatment. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

Overall, my day was quite relaxing! I must say that a lot of these reviews are harsh -- but one must consider the clientele. It does consist of many upscale New York City folk who perhaps have a higher expectation of a place like Oasis. Also, it is much easier to complain than compliment ...

Please see Part II ...

Ratings_icons Would Not Recommend

apple124

I was here for a treatment the other day and was generally disappointed. The rooms are FREEZING and you are only covered with a small towel the entire time. I am not sure if this is because they dont like making the beds up, but I felt too exposed to enjoy the service. The massage beds were loud and creaky to the point that it was distracting and I even thought about the possibility of it collapsing. I understand that every experience can not be perfect and I probably would have come back after knowing what to keep in mind. However, the interaction with reception was awful. The manager on this site seems very concerned about customer service and I hope he reconsiders the reception as part of this experience. While i was paying over one hundred dollars for this servixce I thought it was fair to comment on how they could improve. The receptionist snapped at me and then left the desk mid-conversation. My interaction with this one particular womand was enough to ensure that I will never, ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. Their therapists seem good and I hope this spa can take these comments to heart, as they seem to be repeated many times on this site.

Pros: Relaxation Room

Cons: Customer Service

I was walking around the trade show floor at the Javits Center during the Spa and Resort Expo. I came across the Oasis Day Spa chair massage booth. In a just a few minutes, I was seated in Phil K.'s massage chair. A massage therapist myself, I am rather particular about how I like my massages. Phil K. was fantastic. He shook out my arms and hands and worked pressure points along my hands and forearms that really relieved a lot of pain. He mentioned he was trained in Trigger Point work. I can tell! He applied deep pressure to my back which was so therapeutic and helpful. The scalp massage was the icing on the cake. It's unreal how much stress I carry in my neck near the occipital ridge. In just a 15 minute chair massage, Phil K. made such a difference. When I am back in New York, I am going to request him at Oasis.

Ratings_icons Unfriendly Waxer

katfish527

I went to Oasis for a Brazilian wax and I've had a few before at other places. The actual wax was great, maybe the best I've ever had, but the woman who was waxing me was probably the most unfriendly spa staff personel I've ever met. She didn't say a WORD the whole time, no "how are you?" or anything. I tried to be friendly from the start, making it clear I was somewhat nervous about the procedure and un-aware ALL undergarments had to be removed for the procedure. This obviously made the experience VERY uncomfortable. In the past, I've only been to places where paper thongs were given. When she came in and saw I had not removed mine, she rudely told me to do so. I think in the future it might be a good idea to have staff explain that little detail. I will go back to Oasis but definitely NOT go back to her. I have read previous reviews and have a couple names in mind to request.

Ratings_icons avg spa for the sky high prices

philana218

I went to the Oasis to relax and enjoy my day with a spa package.I had the swedish massage by Gina who had an attitude from the start and the massage was average. Definitely not worth the price. I also had the seaweed body wrap which was interesting and a fun experience. This was followed by a facial from Bezena who was absolutely great! She even told me that I should switch to a less expensive facial because I booked the wrong one! I then had a mani and pedi which was definitely not worth the price. I read the advertisements and thought that I would be getting a "spa mani and pedi" however it was just normal nail service that you can get on 34th st for $20. The pedicure area was a dim and dark corner and Irena ( the lady who did my nails) had a lion's mane and had to pull her hair up in a huge ponytail. This ponytail then proceded to block out the dim light from above and I just couldnt believe she could see anything. Whats even more funny...she then pulls out her glasses because she couldnt see! Definitely not worth the spa prices. Lastly I got a haircut by Carmine who did a fantastic job! I would come again for a facial.

Ratings_icons Best facial in New York!

carol299

I have gone to a few places that I saw recommended online, and some were ok, and didn't have results, some hurt, but helped - Julie at Oasis was the most pleasant, GENTLE, thorough and EFFECTIVE facialist I've ever been to. But the proof is in the fact that my skin looks better than it's looked since I was 18! It's amazing, and I will look no further for my facials.... all of the fantastic reviews for Oasis are true... and the quiet clean atmosphere only makes the experiance all that much more pleasant.

Pros: Amazing Facial, Beautiful Atmosphere, Great Staff

Cons: Slightly more pricey, but worth it!

Ratings_icons Best day spa EVER! Every service is amazing!

etherealprey

I've gone there seveal times, never a complaint. The stuff is polite and friendly. i've had so many treatments there, and they're wonderful and divine! They're not pushy on the products they use, they give me free samples of stuff, and so nice. They always greet you with a glass of water at the end of your treatment. I've had the swedish massage, the heated stone massage and the shiatsu massage, all were amazing and professional. The facials I've gotten there are all wonderful, extractions were not painful unless it was a big one. i do remember that i had booked for a microabrasion, and the lady on the phone instructed me not to do so as i was going to an event in a few days. she told me that a regular facial would be good and that microabrasion would be too much and that it would take a few days and more for skin to heal. Very knowledgeable staff. I haven't gotten a wax there yet, but i'm almost tempted to now.

Ratings_icons Amazing Brazilian Wax

lovened

I have only had a Brazilian waxing done twice before, both at luxurious spas (Elizabeth Arden), and I have to say I was extremely nervous after reading some of the previous reviews on Oasis. But I must say this was beyond a pleasant experience. The technicians name was Liz, and was AMAZING. I have pretty course hair, which is always painful, but she talked me through everything and I was almost crying at the results! It was painless; she was talkative and focused on my personal needs.
I will never go to anyone else, and my boyfriend would agree with the results!

Pros: Great Waxing, Great Facial

Cons: I personally did not have a single complaint on this occasion!

My husband gave me a gift certificate to Oasis Day Spa for a one hour massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. It was a great experience from beginning to end. The staff was very friendly and professional. The ambiance created an extremely relaxing and soothing atmosphere. There are healthy snacks and herbal teas available and a lovely locker room which has showers, a sauna and even Belgian chocolates for you to enjoy. It was like a great one day vacation!

Pros: Staff & Services: Top Notch!

Ratings_icons Itchy Rotisserie- Read to the END!

zeccamonster

I am so sad to have to write this. I just moved to the city a few weeks ago and am an avid fan of massages. Oasis was hands down the worst ever. I saw a coupon on Citysearch and after reading the reviews and checking out the website, I felt it would be a great choice. WRONG. I was taken into the massage room, which stunk like old vegetable oil, and saw on the bed a single, tiny (!) bath towel to get under. The unheated bed was more rickety than a rocking chair on a wooden porch. With every movement the bed creaked and felt like it was about to fall apart. The masseuse kept his oil in a plastic squeegy bottle and I was so lubed that I felt greasy even after a shower later that night. Not to mention that the massage wasn't even good enough to make up for it- scratching my back does not equal a deep tissue massage. Chad had no flow and jumped from here to there, all in his socks! So unsanitary. I felt bad complaining afterwards but i honestly thought it would be worthwhile- until the receptionist told me that a manager would talk to me but since I was using a coupon they wouldn't make any changes to my bill! First of all they don't equate to each other, and I was more disappointed that after telling them my experience was "awful," they didn't care enough to make a difference. For a hundred bucks, I'd rather take it and put it towards a spa that justifies the high price. Oasis, if you're not going to use your profits to strive for quality service, at least spend it on a more CLEAN, euphoric atmosphere- battleship grey is not a pleasant color for a spa. Or at least splurge on some blankets and earplugs to drown out the bed noises. Shoeless workers do not make up for a crappy bed.

Pros: was able to schedule for that day

Cons: Quality! Price, atmosphere

I WAS PAYING FOR SERVICES FOR MY MOTHER AROUND THE CHRISTMAS SEASON, AND I HAVE TO ADMIT IT WAS A LITTLE HECTIC. A RECEPTIONIST BY THE NAME OF VANESSA TOOK CARE OF ME AND SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL, AND FLASHED A WINNING SMILE THAT WAS HARD TO FORGET..... I DIDN'T FEEL RUSHED AND WAS PROVIDED FULL UNDIVIDED ATTENTION ALONG WITH COMPLIMENTARY CHOCOLATE....WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THAT I JUST MIGHT TREAT MYSELF TO A COUPLE OF SERVICE. Ratings_icons Worst body scrub/polishing ever...

anilda

I was given a gift certificate and was looking forward to the Oasis experience. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing one. I signed up for a scrub w/ vichy water. I should have been told not to make plans after the session since I left the room with my hair soaked to the roots. In a very flippant manner I was told that brushes and hair dryers were available. You can imagine how upset I was since I was going to a concert with the new man in my life. The treatment could not have been further than what its name implied, since my skin didn't look or feel any better than when i entered the room. If I had to rate this experience on a scale of 1-10, it would be a 2, since the front office personnel was very affable and attentive.

I had a great experience at Oasis. After a long aggravating day at work, Oasis was just what the doctor ordered. I was greeted kindly by the person at the front desk. Everything was right on time and the facilities were very clean. The massage itself was wonderful, hitting all the sore spots on my lower back. I've heard a lot of nice things about Oasis and now I know why, Highy recommended

This was my third trip to Oasis, and I remembered why I always go back. The front desk staff was polite and efficient.

More importantly, I had made an appointment for a deep cleaning facial. The aesthetician took one look at my skin, and said ?you don?t need it.? She changed my treatment on the spot, and it was for a LESS EXPENSIVE one. How often does that happen? No up-sale, no pushing product. Those four words will keep me coming back.

I get a lot of massages, but none compare to the job done by Beth. She was very attentive and receptive to feedback. I felt like a new person afterwards. The atmosphere of Oasis is very relaxing. I loved using their sauna before and after my treatment. Their front desk is a little disorganized though, and I came in on a weekday afternoon, so I can't even image what it would be like when really busy. But over all, great spa, will def. come back!

Pros: Beth, ambience, sauna

Cons: Slightly chaotic front desk

Ratings_icons Spa Week 2006 Amazing Place, great Amenities!!!

diankiny

I went here during Spa Week 2006 to get a massage. The spa is beautiful and spacious. The relaxation room is great with many different teas, water and snacks ( dried fruit). The room is round and dimly lit. They have plenty of magazines to browse through. The locker room was very nice with tons of ametities as well. The steam room was a nice touch. My massage therapist wasnt very pleasant unfortunately but it doesnt mean I didn't like the spa. It was my first massage ever and the therapist inquired about that, so I thought that she would be more attentive. I did not know what to expect and she didn't really care. I would still like to come back for other treatments and fingers crossed that I get a different therapist!!!! Otherwise, wonderful place!

Pros: Nice relaxation room with snacks, great locker room with sauna and nice showers,

Cons: therapist was not very nice and cold

Ratings_icons Great Experience

spa_lvr

I hada facial and massage at Oasis and it was all a great experience. Ariel was the facialist and she was really sweet and also very knowledgeable. She recommended some great products the Spa offers but wasn't pushy at all. I have extremely sensitive skin and have had problems in the past getting facials, but Ariel knew exactly what was going on and how to work with my skin type.
I had a massage with Shoko. It was one of the best massages I've ever had. I told her very little about what I needed - because I wasn't sure - so she asked me a few questions and just knew instinctively what to do.
My whole experience at Oasis Day Spa was great. Everyone is really friendly and even though it was very busy, no one made me wait. I recommend getting there early, the reception desk gets pretty busy.

Pros: Knowledgeable and Professional Staff

julieandben

I was looking forward to my facial but was quite let down. I had a facial with Mimi and she really did not want to be bothered. In the actual 50 minutes she was in the room (for a 60 minute facial) she was more interested in washing the bowl three times or writing down a "prescription." She left the room for about 5 minutes to "get samples" and came back with two small packets. I will not be returning to this place. I have had a million times better facial at other places.

Pros: decor

Cons: facial and service

Ratings_icons Bad bikini wax

pinktyke

Oasis spa is a very nice spa - good customer service, relaxing ambience and a comprehensive spa menu; unfortunately, the bikini wax I received was a disappointment. The staff who did my wax did not trim before waxing, which made the process quite painful (I have a relatively high endurance of pain, so I didn't complain at the time, but it definitely hurt more than my previous waxes at other salons), the remaining strip of hair wasn't shaped well and the wax was not completely removed afterwards. I might return to the spa for other services, but I am very hesitant to go back for another wax service.

Pros: relaxing and clean spa, good customer service

Cons: sloppy wax services

I've been to this spa before and have had a wonderful experience. Their relaxation room is like a dim-lit lounge with plenty of reading material and drinks and snacks to enjoy while you wait for your therapist. The atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable, however my last encounter left much to be desired. I had a 60-minute deep tissue with a therapist who chewed gum during the entire session. In addition, the room they put me in was absolutely freezing. I was cold and uncomfortable the entire time and distracted by the gum chomping. When I complained to the front desk that the room was not up to par, they didn't seem to care or take note that they would do something about it. They took my money and told me the rooms were always cold!
Some customer service for a top rated spa!! If only the service were as welcoming as the lounge.

Pros: Ambience

Cons: Lousy Customer Service

Upon arrival I was promptly whisked into the women's locker room and supplied a plush robe and slippers to change in to prior to my massage. I was then instructed to wait in the comfortable relaxation room. The room was supplied with tea, various dried fruit, snacks and water. My masseuse asked me prior to beginning what I wanted to focus on and she did just that. The massage was extremely relaxing and when I was done I took advantage of the sauna and shower - both completely spotless and again, relaxing. Overall the experience was fabulous.

Pros: Relaxation room, spa rooms and locker room - all spotless and relaxing

Like everyone else in new york i work at a desk and spend most of my time on the computer and my neck and back have certainly paid the price. My boyfriend was so sick of hearing me complain about that pain I was in he got me a gift certificate for a massage. Normally i like facials and scrubs and get freaked out by some massages but i figured i'd give it another shot since i was in soo much pain and i'm glad i did. Lisanne was my masseuse and she was awesome. i told her that problems i was having and her fingers worked their magic. I was so relaxed that I couldn't even pay attention to the fact that i was half dressed on the table. She gave excellent pressure and even worked on my feet which i've never had done before and my feet sorely needed from my heals. When I left I felt like a new person and my faith in massages has been restored. I HIGHLY recommend Lisanne especially for those who get a little nervous about massage-she's so great I keep telling people to get me a gift certificate for the holidays so I can start going to her on a regular basis!!

I know it sounds weird but as far as brazilians go, it was!!!! I was going away & being a constant procastinator... could only get an appointment at Oasis. I was a little skeptical since I had never been before; BUT I am so happy this happened. My aesthetician Mickey was amazing!!! When she came to get me in the waiting room she had a huge smile on her face and immediately put me at ease. She uses the strip wax (not hard-unless you really want her to) and I am telling you it hardly hurt at all. She is very fast; took only 10 min. Which seems like only one because she keeps talking to you the whole time & making you laugh to get your mind off of what she's actually doing to you. I will never go to anyone else. I trust her totally.
You will not be dissapointed!!!!! I recommend her highly.

widdleboo

hi,

I have made numerous attempts to schedule an
appointment at Oasis for my 3 girlfriends and I for
the past 2 weeks. Everytime I call them, I get a
different receptionist that gives me conflicting
information. Now, they say they will be short on
staff for my appointment I supposedly made with them
for early September. What is the meaning of short on
staff? I think it is perfectly feasible to handle a
group of four with over 5 weeks of advance notice. I
personally don't know what the hype is all about.
They wouldn't even let me get my foot in the door.
Management should be notified about the poor service
and the lack of desire to remedy the problem.

I went in for a sunless bronzing session which was a first for me. I asked for a sample to test with first(b/c I sometimes turn orange with certain products) and they gave it to me - even though I had to call 5 times and was told different things each time I called.
The clinician was good and made me feel comfortable during what is kind of a bizarre experience (basically naked being rubbed down, washed and creamed). The final color was lighter than I would have hoped but nice and even.
If you want your tan to set well you CANNOT touch water for the next 24 hours so be prepared!

Shatelle is an incredibly talented and amazing facialist. She is the only reason I continue to return to this spa. My first impression of Oasis was unpromising - staff at the front desk is RUDE and simply not interested in you. I've been to many spas and never have I been asked to pay for the service before receiving the service. At my first visit, after a very weak greeting, I was given the hefty bill, reminded that gratuity is only accepted in cash, and asked to turn off my mobile phone. After I left the drill sargent, Shatelle was great and redeemed the spa overall.

Pros: Some Good Staff, Nice Facilities, Late Hours

Cons: Bad Front Desk Staff

Ratings_icons I'm Hooked

sandilovesnyc

Hard to understand some of the negative comments I've read about Oasis. I have now gone 4 times for a variety of services and have found Oasis to be consistently a great experience. I particularly enjoyed how nice everyone is, and the massages and facial services are an exceptional value compared to other high end spa's I've visited in NYC. I will admit that I've called to schedule sometimes and have been put on hold for a couple of minutes. But the staff has always been accomodating while it sounds as if the phones are ringing off the hook there. There must be a reason the place is so busy, and it's because it's fabu. I highly recommend Oasis.

Pros: Great services, Beautiful environment, No sales pressure

Cons: Sometimes hard to get

Ratings_icons Overrated but nice

newyorker_jy

I've been a couple times, and I agree with all the other reviews that the staff there is very rude, snobbish, and unprofessional.
Bikini wax - I've done it a couple times, and not's not that good here. For me, applying pressure is important, but they didn't. And when I asked them to, they kinda mumbled something and barely did it.
Body massage - it's OK, but not worth their price
Reflexology - an older man did this. He kept talking the entire time and was rude. NOT recommended by HIM atleast. He was in his late 40s/early 50s I would guess.

Pros: location

Cons: staff, price

Ratings_icons Best Facial Ever

denvernicole

I was very pleased with my facial, and the woman who did it (Evelyn? Vivian?) I'm bad with names, but the facial was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep a couple times. My skin is still glowing a day later.
The only thing I didn't like is the relaxation room- where you go and wait to be called for your service. I would have been more comfortable if it was only women, as I was surrounded by couples and also other men. When I go to a spa, I don't want to worry about how I look, while waiting for my appt. That part was not relaxing. I could tell that a lot of people in that room were tense as well.

Pros: Ambiance, Excellent Skin Care, Very Clean

Cons: Price, "Relaxation" Room

Ratings_icons unbelievable attitude -- stay away!

alexisclark

First, got 2 calls within one hour, by two different people, to confirm (no organization!). Woman sounded halfasleep and gruff and ignored my question about the cross-street (nice). On both calls, plus a third confirmation call, I was told, sternly, that tipping must be in cash. Lest we forget, Oasis also has a large sign at the front desk not stating "Welcome" or some positive message but stating that tipping must be cash and that 15-20% is recommended. Very low class.

Post-services, I went to the front desk to check out and had a most disagreeable encounter with an employee named Nikki. Word limits prevent me from detailing but her attitude was unbelievable from the minute I walked up -- Oasis doesn't care about its clients if it has such a bitter person working there.

There are too many spas in the city to go to one with angry employees.

Pros: salt scrub

Cons: bitter front desk, pushy about products

Ratings_icons Too overrated!

hansensch

I have seen a lot of advertisement about Oasis Spa everywhere. So I was very excited about a gift certificate given to me for Christmas; but I found the deep tissue massage to be so average even after I explained to be too soft many times, then, the massage just became "weird" as if the therapist got offended. The ambience is nice but I am more interested on a great service.

Pros: nice name, ambience

Cons: terrible massage

Ratings_icons Nice atmosphere, but disappointing massage...

benlawder

Oasis was one of a couple spas recommended by colleagues when I mentioned I'd like a massage while visiting New York. I liked the atmosphere overall, and the staff that checked me in was very friendly.

I was disappointed though in the actual massage. The therapist was friendly, but she seemed new or at least unfamiliar with the treatment (Muscle Meltdown Massage). This "specialty massage" ended up being a fairly standard Swedish massage with heat packs placed on the areas she wasn't working on at the time. She also seemed more like a chiropractor (pulling joints, applying pressure at odd angles, quick jolty movements) than the slow, deep muscle massage I expected based on the description online and conversation with the reservation agent.

Next time, I will either try another spa or at least make sure I have a different therapist. Overall, not horrible, but certainly disappointing for the money...

Ratings_icons a pleasant surprise!

mjones03

I'd also received a gift certifcate and never made time to go and finally I did and am so glad that I did! The Park Ave. location is beautiful, the staff was helpful and I appreciated the relaxation room. I've been to quite a few spas and I liked the fact that I was encouraged to relax a bit before and after my treatments were done. My esthetician, Ariel was great! She had a amazing touch and was incredibly knowledgable. She was able to really help me understand what was happening with my skin. I was given a prescription sheet to help me understand and some reccomendations. She also gave me her card and told me that she worked in the union square spa which is great because I live in the area. I've started to see her there as well for my waxings. She's awesome, I highly reccomend her!

Pros: therapist,Ariel, different svc.

Ratings_icons Best facial in NYC

pelussa

I reluctantly tried Oasis after receiving a gift certificate for the holidays. I was feeling a little weary of going after I read some of the reviews Oasis had gotten. My first impression upon entering the lobby area was that it was a nice place, but the reception staff could have been a little more pleasant. I was brought to the womens locker room and was impressed on how clean it was, and I almost fell asleep in the relaxation room. When Tina (my new favorite aesthetician) came to get me, I was still a little nervous, But she put me at ease right away. She was highly knowledgeable, but never made me feel pressured to buy products. Her touch was amazing, she answered all of my questions and gave me the best massage of my life. I strongly suggest giving oasis a try. Tina is a true gem!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: best facial ever, cozy, professional

Cons: Tina is off Sat.

Ratings_icons unprofessional reservation desk

gaeranee

The people at the reservation line were unprofessional and rude. They mixed up my reservation, and several of them sounded grumpy and groggy like they just woke up. When they called to confirm my reservation, I told them that it was incorrect. And then they told me that I did not have an appointment for the time I requested, that no one remembered talking to me just 3 hours ago, and stated that they don't even offer the service at that time at the Park Avenue location. It turned out that the reservation desk was wrong and I eventually got the reservation I requested -- that is after they cut me off mid-sentence and then put me on hold for 5 minutes. I thought spas were supposed to relax you, not annoy you.

I was trying to book a facial at Oasis since my friend enjoyed her massage here, but i felt pressured to give my credit card number while I hadn't even explained the services we were getting.
