Dominick (of CB Renovations) is a true craftsman. I'll even say he's an artist of his craft. He's very meticulous on the job. He's done a number different jobs for us over the past few years; from decks to kitchen remodeling to cabinetry.

CB Renovation LLC

Pros: Professional, Reliable, Talented
Cons: none

December 2014 my kitchen ceiling started leaking from kids bathroom upstairs.

The builder of our home, Centex, to cut costs had installed shower tubs and pans directly on the subfloor without any waterproofing.

We had the same issue initially with the master bathroom shower when we had purchased our home.
The master bathroom shower was leaking to the office ceiling downstairs and despite several complaints to the builder and attempts by their subcontractors, it continued to leak. They were addressing the symptoms and not the underlying problem of lack of waterproofing the subfloor and shower walls underneath the tiling.

We had hired Dominic in March 2010 from C B Renovations to get this issue resolved. He had to rip the shower pan down to the studs. He installed new sub floor, then Durock cement board floor & waterproofing liner before building a custom shower pan. The shower walls had to be opened to studs and waterproofing and cement board installed before re-tiling the wall. The custom shower pan with
tiled floor came out beautiful.

We rehired him again December 2014 to address the same issue in the kids bathroom. He did encounter some issues when he opened the wall area as we were now changing it from tub/shower to a standing/stall shower with shower pan. There was additional work and cost involved, however, Dominic had mentioned that in the contract.
Overall my experience with CB Renovation was positive.
I would recommend him to my friends and family. I would rehire him for my future projects. Dominic Leone did an excellent job and the kids bathroom looks fantastic with a complete rebuild and install of a custom shower pan, flooring and wall.

If anyone has any questions/comments about my experiences with CB Renovation, leave a comment to my review and I'll get back to you.

Thanks
Anita

In response to Mr. Zur's comments: First of all my company CB Renovations has a 5 star rating and Interdonato Inc. has been rated "Best of the Best" in Monmouth and Ocean Counties for 2011 and 2012 with an impeccable record for over 30

The recent remodel of our small bathroom (4.5?? x 7.5??) was a painful experience. We endured weeks of dirt and dust while progress was very slow. Dominick spent weeks in our house with very little progress to show for it. Repeated requests to expedite completion of the renovation were unsuccessful. Furthermore, poor workmanship was Dominick??s biggest weakness. Initially, he installed the wrong tile on our shower floor and later had difficulties executing a simple wall tile layout as we requested. Some tiles were found to be crooked while others were not even with the adjacent tiles. All had to be removed and replaced. We had to buy more tiles so he could finish the job.
While working in our house, Dominick damaged the kitchen ceiling right below the bathroom floor and the bedroom wall adjacent to the bathroom (water+ structural damage). Both had to be repaired and repainted with mixed results.
Finally, we were surprised to learn that the original price quoted was not the final price. It??s very interesting to note that each work scope paragraph in the official contract issued by Dennis Interdonato Inc. that included the sentence: ??WE WILL REPLACE/REPAIR AND BILL HOMEOWNER (TIME & MATERIAL) ACCORDINGLY? received an extra charge? As the project progressed, we were handed invoices (totaling >$650) for frivolous work related issues like: ??walls not straight?, damaged plywood floor must be replaced, new vanity didn??t line up with house copper plumbing, repair toilet flange, repair shower diverter, install necessary shutoffs, etc. All were part of the original remodeling job quote we received from CB Renovations LLC.
In the past, we have had the pleasure of having many talented professional contractors working in our home. There have been situations where more work was needed than originally thought necessary. We gladly paid the extra charges because we knew that they were legitimate and the jobs were always completed in a timely manner. This was not the case with CB Renovations LLC/Dennis Interdonato, Inc.

Our family friend decided to renovate their kitchen with CB renovations even though we suggested Marathon Construction. The Kitchen came out fairly nice, but it took them longer than our Kitchen did and both were about the same size. The prices were about equal but I still recommend Marathon construction. Although you will not be disappointed with either.
