Classy, dressy restaurant that takes you back to a more formal time. Potato latkes with salmon were wonderfully prepared. The dessert sampler was the perfect finish.

Me and my wife ate at this restaurant last week while we were visiting Seattle. We admit, we are lover's of Italian food; we have ate at restaurants all over the country. This was truly one of the most memorable experiences we have had in a while. The food was superb and the service was outstanding. I had the Vitello Boscaiola, a veal dish made with white cream sauce, and my wife had the Anatra Arrosto, a duck breast with berry sauce. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The following night before our flight back home we were sure to order from the to go menu so we could have some before we left. We will be visiting Seattle again and will make a point to come back to Rustica Ristorante!!

We had a terrific meal at Rustica last night. There are only about 15 tables in this quaint restaurant and only about five of those were occupied. The food, service and decor were all top notch. With the exception of the Italian background music, it was totally silent.

We could tell by ambient conversation that all the other tables were occupied by frequent diners who were clearly fans. These folks are in dire need of marketing.

Allyn had a pan seared Petrole Sole (the fish of the day), perfectly prepared with lemon and capers with a side of vegetables and homemade pasta. The fish is ideal for those who like it light and mild. It was preceded by a spinach salad which was fresh, crisp and delicious.

I led off with a Caesar salad which had their custom dressing. It had more garlic than is customary. It worked fine for me, but I?m not sure it was exactly a Caesar.

The highlight was my Chicken Puntinesca. The spicy tomato sauce was superb and worked great with the nice Cabernet. Their wine list is marginal at best.

True, things are tough out there in Seattle (and it was raining), but if they can?t get at least one full turn on a Friday night, then I wonder how long they will survive.

We had a wonderful company event dinner at Rustica. The food was wonderful and served timely and the servers were excellent. I met with the staff prior to the dinner and they made certain that every attention to detail was taken care of, as an events planner, it made my job that much easier, I was able to sit and enjoy the meal with my co-workers.

Thank you Rustic we wil be seeing you in the future.

We went to Rustica Restaurant couple nights ago, before a Town Hall event.
We were pleased to be accommodated even though we didn?t have reservation.
We attend Town Hall often & Rustica is very conveniently located just across Town Hall, for a nice, quick dinner before an event! We LOVE Italian food & Rustica has an extensive menu with lots of seafood choices, several veal & chicken dishes & plenty of vegetarian options as well. We had no problem finding something to eat! The food was good! Delicious home-style cooking! But what we were most impressed with, was how efficient & competent our server was! She had quite a few tables all by herself & yet she managed to deliver a great, courteous service to us! We never felt neglected or rushed & that is a true sign of a professional at work! Thank you! We will be back!

I love this place. The food is great the owners are very friendly. I had Penne al' Salmone (penne pasta with smoked salmon) for my entree and Panna Cotta del Giorno for dessert. They were both good and I strongly suggest ordering it.

The ambiance of this place is wonderful and it was very romantic. The service was great, but best of all the food was wonderful. The Osso Bucco was to die for and Ravioli with safron sauce was delicious. The Lavendar Panncotta my husbad had was also wonderful. We will be back next week to try some more!!! I will definetly recommended this to all my family and friends. A great getaway for the evening.

This place was ok. They still have a lot of work to do .. from the service to the food. It's pretty lackluster. I went there with my wife after reading the great reviews, but we both were very disappointed.

Yes, we showed up at 9PM, but we weren't expecting to be the only patrons in the place. It was nice and quiet of course, and we got excellent service! Our waters were always filled, we were offered extra bread with our meal, and the food just kept coming!

We started off with the Impepata, which is an appetizer of mussels and clams in a lemon-garlic sauce. It came with 4 clams, 4 mussels, and the very best sauce we have ever tried. My girlfriend said simply, "That was a good start!" For the main course, I ordered the Anata Arrosto (duck). It was the first time I had duck, so I have nothing to compare it with, though it was very good. The cherry sauce was not as sweet as I imagined (thankfully); it complemented the duck beautifully. The other dish we had was the Tortellini Compagna. We couldn't stop! This one was a gem; we love prosciutto, and the cream sauce was perfectly spiced and not too heavy.

Overall, this restaurant receives the highest rating from us. We found a parking spot across the street quite easily, but I imagine it may be tough during peak dinner hours. There wasn't much of a foyer, though, and there was some noise on the street from passersby, but it didn't ruin our night. Very nice, romantic, good atmosphere.

We had dinner at Rustica couple nights ago before we attended an event at Town Hall, right accross from the restaurant. We've been to the restaurant MANY times before when it used to be Geneva. We were very pleasantly surprised with the new Italian restaurant!
We ordered Melanzane & Impepata for our apetizers & they were deeelicious!!!
We then had Minestrone soup, which was wonderful & rather unique, because chef uses pesto in it! YUM! For our main courses we thoroughly enjoyed our pasta dish with Italian sausage & Veal Saltimbocca! Everything was seasoned just right! A wonderful new (Italian) kid in town, conveniently located accross from Town Hall! The service was excellent as always, friendly & attentive, without being overbearing. We are very excited to have discovered this new "jewel"!

The Bruschetta appetizer was wonderful as well as the Melanzane Gorgonzola. Service was extraordinary and the food tasted wonderful !! The food was so full of flavor, I would think it was shipped straight from Italy. A sure bet to try is the Bruschetta appetizer. In addition the pasta's and seafood dishes we ordered were great. The decor and dining room was gorgeous. A truely unique and pleasant addition to the city!!!!

Rustica Restaurant, 8th and Seneca. A disappointment. My Caesar salad was underdressed with unremarkable dressing, the romaine had many brown edges. The salmon pasta ordered by another guest had salmon that was "oily, too fishy". I could certainly have made better, more flavorful, pork tenderloin at home .... same for the lamb ordered by another member of our party. My gimlet was excellent, though, although the martinis ordered by the others were less than expected. The lattes I and another guest ordered were just warm, not hot, but the flavor was good. Service was indifferent, verging on surly. The six of us find no reason to return - as I say, a disappointment, because we like to attend events at Town Hall just across the street. We regret the departure of the Geneva.

Pros: Pretty decor, quiet, uncrowded. (At 8:00, only two other tables occupied.)

Cons: Service, inconsistent food.
