I have been bringing my car to Holman Honda for oil changes and any necessary repairs for quite some time now. Today I was informed of a part that needed to be replaced and when I heard the quote I was shocked but they assured me it needed to be fixed and wasn't safe to drive. We all know dealerships have a tremendous mark-up but after contacting another dealership I learned how they had just gouged me on the price. For the part alone, they almost doubled the list price. The price I paid for labor was over the top, as well. I understand things are going to cost more in S. FL but this just took my breath away. I called back after the fact but the service manager wouldn't be available until Monday. Hopefully they can do better than just crediting me the cost of the oil change I went in for. Either way, knowing how much I was overcharged is enough to keep me from going back in the future.
