Dr. Kobobel shows great empathy to his patients and is brilliant in his skills! I have been to several doctors for the same problem for over a year and Dr. Kobobel finally gave me some relief. He listened to what I had to say, I am very happy with my family doctor.

I am well please with the service that I receive at Brevard Family. I go into the clinic to get lab work done 2 times a year and I am in and out. Other labs I have been in I could wait an hour. When I need to be seen and I am sick or need a medication refill I really don't have any problems. I have been living with my conditions for a long time now so I know what to expect and what to do. They have always treated me well! I am happy.

I brought both of my children in for physicals, a school physical and a sports physical about a week ago and then I came down with a nasty summer cold. They were convienent, efficient and I was not charged an outrageous amount of money for my medical care. Then experience was great!

This office has always been good to me, very personable. When I come in, no matter how busy they are I am always treated with a smile. I have seen John the nurse practitioner and I like him, he explains things in terms that I can understand and I don

This clinic is prone to feed you excuses, their customer service is insufficient, and their practitioner ""john,"" could not even determine what conditions I was experiencing after two physical consultations and multiple blood tests. He even charged me more for what he considered a ""prolonged"" visit without even notifying me of such circumstances.\r\n\r\nI have contacted their support many times, receiving negative feedback, faulty answers, and an overall bad experience.\r\n\r\nThey claim the excessive bills I am receiving will be resolved, but this is the third one sent and they now tell me its up to the company I am receiving the bill from, that they will clarify the situation. I am starting to feel they don't personally care much for their patients, they just send our problems onto whom they think is the culprit behind what is going on. I went to THEIR office, for THEIR treatment, THEY should follow-up on the problems THEY are having with the companies they decided to affiliate themselves with.\r\n\r\nDo not waste your time, effort, and money with this clinic, in my opinion.

When reading the last two review and response it just made me realize there are always two sides to every story. Its not good to form opinions on just a one sided basis. I am a patient there and I can say that my husband and I are very happy with Dr. K and his staff. My husband is kinda like a ""Tim the Tool Man Taylor"" , and my two teenage boys are just like him. I have had to face it, he is accident prone. Thank God for our insurance and Dr. Kobobel's office. There are many times in the past 5 years that we could have gone to the emergency room but we didn't have to because we would just walk- in to our families doctors office, so over the years we have been happy.

Little good to say and very much bad. \r\n\r\nAs a misguided and uninformed parent, I feel very mislead by Brevard Family Walk In Clinic. I arrived at school and was met with a little girl who was in pain. She informed me that she had fallen hours before and her wrist hurt, but no one had notified me. It was a Friday afternoon and the nurse in the school office told me that I should take her to the Brevard Family Walk In clinic because they had later office hours than most. Assuming that the doctor there was a good, honest man, I encouraged my husband to drive our daughter there. I called first to make sure we could come in and that they were still open and was informed, after asking what insurance we had, that we could come right then and they were open until 7 pm. There was no indication that this would be under an emergency pretense or we would have just gone on Saturday or would have gone to a hospital E.R., or her own local physician. \r\n\r\nOnce we arrived, we filled out necessary paperwork to be accepted as a new patient(and were charged for a new patient visit of $175). We waited nearly an hour before being placed in another holding area. We continued to wait and wait until, finally, a female nursing assistant came into the room. She x-rayed my daughters wrist and came up with no final result. She then referred us to a specialist and we were released several hours after arriving in the office. We were not able to get into the specialist for another week and obviously were not in an ""emergency"" status.\r\n\r\nWe continued to follow the doctors orders and went to an orthopedic doctor the next week (6 days late). He also could not confirm that there was or was not a break/fracture and suggested that we just have her wear the brace that I had bought at CVS for $30. We returned to the orthopedic and were informed that she never had any fracture or break at all. All of this and $300 (even with really good health insurance) for a very sore wrist is all. \r\n\r\nI feel very mislead and cheated. I now know that this office is all about the money and not the patient. A real digrace to real sincere doctors. I never expected a false charge on the bill for a $50 emergency fee. I, nor my family, ever heard or was it let on that this visit was any type of emergency and would have been more than happy to wait for whatever would have saved us a $50 fee which my insurance will not pay and will not be counted toward my deductible. This walk in clinic is a Preferred Provider with my insurance and I cannot understand how this could have ended up so much in the favor of the physician and not the patient. \r\n\r\nPlease be informed that I am more than willing to pay my portion of the amount of the bill which goes toward the deductible, but I need further explanation to justify how I could billed this bogus charge of $50 when we were seen as a walk-in patient? I attempted to contact the office manager to dispute this charge, but was just treated in a very rude manner. Is this just a money clinic or is it a real family physician as I was expecting?\r\n\r\nToo bad we all are just so vulnerable to the doctors and insurance company and have no idea what kind of bills will follow a simple doctor visit. Between outrageous insurance premiums, deductibles, and the false extra physician charges, I feel so taken advantage of. Can't someone have some ethics and just do the right thing without the public having to police EVERYTHING!!!???\r\n\r\nI mentioned there was a little good...well...it's clean to go along with all of the waiting and dishonest billing!!\r\n\r\n

I was on-line yesterday because my family doctor could not see me and I had a horrible sore throat that I couldn't shake for a week and only has gotten worse. My doctors office told me to go to a ""walk in clinic"" I have seen them around but never had to experience one before, so I was I little confused how this all worked. I seen this particular place online and I must say I was impressed, I was able to receive my medicine there and I was in and out in an hour, I was feeling much better by last night. I talked to the doctor about some other issues and I am going to follow up next week. I was very satisfied.

I wanted to take the time to answer to the negative e-mail below because if this person was or is really a patient of Dr. Kobobel, she would know how stable his office is! Did you ever think that maybe your insurance company is causing the trouble and delay??? I know because one time it took almost two weeks to have an authorization approval, but what I know for sure is that Dr. K. office never stop fighting.\n\nI have been a patient for Dr. Kobobel since 2005, and I have to say that his office is very helpful and will try their best all the time. I?m not saying that they are perfect because we all know that nobody is, but as long as the Dr. and his staff will do everything in their power to help me, I will be there!\n

I usually don't post to these kinds of reviews, the hoops you have to go through just to write something is ridiculous, who has time now of days??? I was a little disturbed when I came across these comments. I have been a patient with Dr. K for the last 4 years. Have I had some ups and downs with his office? I have had some very serious health issues and Dr. K and his staff have helped me through and get me stabilized in my issues. Overall my experience has been good. Yes, more ups than downs, the down side was petty things because of me probably being impatient and not feeling well, the most important, was my life in his care, he has always treated me and my family with the up most respect and care. Overall my experience has been good. The comments about Nancy I think are irrelevant; offices go through changes, people move on, who cares??? I was just there the other day, to have my medication adjusted and my experience was great. So, for this long time patient, I am happy!

The previous gushing positive review was written by a staff member, who has been writing positive reviews for this practice all over the Web.\r\n\r\nAs a long-time patient at this place, I kinda feel locked in now, but I think it's time for a change. Dr. Kobobel is pretty cool on a personal level, but he clearly doesn't know how to run a good medical practice.\r\n\r\nThe staff will tell you they'll take care of things, but you have to call repeatedly. The billing person is the worst I've ever dealt with. And only the minions call you; the doctor only talks to you if you come in (wants that office visit charge).\r\n\r\n

I've been a patient with this practice a lot of years -- basically since they opened. Things used to be much better there, but they've slipped, and you should expect all kinds of staff incompetence and unnecessary hoop jumping, all directed by Dr. Kobobel no doubt.\r\n\r\nYes, Nancy Barnhouse was great, and there's some sort of secret behind why she's not there any more. I read on another review site that she went through a nasty divorce, but is still licensed and may come back...somewhere. I do not believe for a second that she ""could not shut up about her husband"" as a previous shill review from Kobobel's staff member Abby said. Nancy was -- and no doubt still is -- a real pro, and everyone liked her big-time.\r\n\r\nI like Dr. K to a degree, but his staff turns over a lot, and I haven't always been happy with some of the foolishness they pull.\r\n\r\nLook around at other review sites such as YP-dot-com. Bad, bad, bad. The reviews here have been salted with positive reviews from a particular staff member at this practice (Abby, whom I understand has been given that directive from Dr. K --'Post me some good reviews!'). Dr. K is big on marketing games -- and on building his wife's skin care business. Hence, the marketing video you're exposed to in the waiting room.\r\n\r\nI should probably look for a new doc. Soon.

The office staff and medical assistants are great! The Physicians actually listen and are empathetic to your issues. The clinic is very clean which means a lot. I would recommend this clinic to everyone.\r\n\r\nHighly competent medical care, excellent ""bedside manner,"" very caring and personable doctors and staff. They do not rush you through, they spend the time you need answering all of your questions. I felt like they really cared about my health and wanted to make sure any fears I had were calmed. I would recommend Brevard Family Walk-in Clinic to anyone wanting excellent, quality care and caring and competent doctors and staff.\r\n

Personally, I would recommend this office to any one who has a serious illness. Im a cancer survivor because of Dr. Kobobel and his wonderful staff. \r\nDr. Kobobel went out of his way to find why I was so sick all the times, and now with the support of my family and Dr. Kobobels office, I feel strong and confident about my future.\r\nThank you so much for giving me my life back!!!\r\n

Dr. Kobobel is the most caring doctor you can imagine. He is not just a doctor , he is your compassionate friend. I had an emergency , and he came to the hospital in the middle of the night. I know i can call Dr. Kobobel with my whole family medical needs - any time. Overall i had great experience with clinic, and all people working there. Everyone is very helpful, and listening to your needs. Office is exceptionally clean, and pleasantly decorated to soothe your mind. I always recommed Dr. Kobobel to all of my friends.

Dr. K tested me for a disease while I was sick, and after getting the results prescribed me medication. Doctors should know you can't test someone for a disease when they have the flu. He misdiagnosed me and started me on a medication that could have given me a heart attack if taken with my other medication. I asked him before he prescribed it if it'd be okay that it'd be okay. Saw a specialist and they told me it was destroying my heart. \n\nDon't go here!

Pros: nothing

Cons: terrible doctor, rude employees, long wait times

.

Well, I was there today, Abby. They told me that, ""Nancy... no longer works here, but we have a new nurse practioner you can see.""\r\n\r\nBut instead, I asked where she went, thinking that I'd happily switch offices to keep her as my provider! (I nearly go crazy each time I have to wait for an appt. there. Everyone is forced to listen to a creepy, self-serving video commercial that they pipe into the waiting room! It's a godawful loop that plays day-in and day-out there, hawking Dr. K and some cosmetic procedures??? This, at a walk-in clinic??? What is THAT?? But I digress.) \r\n\r\nAnyway, the receptionist looked uncomfortable and finally answered, ""Nowhere. Nancy's not working... anywhere.""\r\n\r\nI immediately thought maybe she'd had some kind of an accident or was gravely ill, and asked if she was OK.\r\n\r\nAgain, a long awkward pause followed, until an older woman broke in, saying, ""She's fine. She's just not practicing anymore. Anywhere. She can't. She did some bad things and can't practice anymore.""\r\n\r\nWTF???\r\n\r\n

Pros: Um.. they take walk-ins?

Cons: Self-serving infomercial plays non-stop while you wait!!!!!

.

This is not a walk-in clinic but a family practice that excepts walk-ins. Their hours are great and even opened on Sat. Dr. K is good but Nancy Barnhouse ARNP (nurse practitioner) is awesome. Go see her for any and all things.... She really cares and is so good...

Pros: Great Providers

Cons: front desk just a little slow but not bad

I was contacted by my doctor to come in for a followup, but when I arrived was told i had ""broken procedures"" and was refused to be seen. I had made the mistake of telling them my insurance changed to something they didn't accept.. I was willing to pay the regular fee (he was my doctor and i would just pay out of pocket) but instead the office manager claimed I didn't follow proper procedures on followup.\n\nIf that's the case, why did my doctor contact me to come in anyway? The problem is that I lost my insurance, and received Medicaid which they do not accept. As I said that's fine, I was willing to pay out of pocket. Had I not mentioned medicaid I would have likely been fine.\n\nThe doctor advises you to make sure you have 24 hours of prescription left if you need refills. I have enough medicine for 48.. they told me to go ""find a new doctor"" but how am I going to do that over a weekend when they are all closed? \n\nI was forced to goto the emergency room because i needed medicine and was totally abandoned even though they knew my situation. \n\nPlease know.. I did not try to use medicaid here. I was willing to pay out of pocket just to get my BP and other senseitive medicine, after they called me for a followup! Only after hte office manager learned i had medicaid did they present me with a refunded credit card receipt and tell me I had ""numerous infractions""... all of which were untrue.\n\nI did ask to see the doctor, and was told he was not there. A lie.. I saw him walk by earlier. I asked to see the practioner who was due to see me, again refused. \n\nThe worst part is the lying and making me out to be a bad patient. I have never been treated so rudely, it was as if because I had medicaid I was now dirt to them. Sadly my cobra will kick in in a few days. they won't get any of that though. \n\nThis is a doctors office concerned with making money, not helping patients. Avoid them unless you want to spend a night in the emergency room like me.

Pros: Hi-Tech Facilities

Cons: Abandons Patients in Need See Below

Dr. K is great...He doesn't rush you and I have never waited very long. His front office staff seems to turn over a lot and they don't seem to know what they are doing (reception). If you obtain Xrays for any reason, be sure to call SEVERAL times to make sure they print them and that they are readable (they put them on a disc, but when the specialist tried to view them, they couldn't -.bmp format and corrupted)...request jpeg format.\r\nI have also had issues with billing. I have insurance and one minute they are telling me I owe and then they are telling me I have a credit (a yr later)...

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, Everyone please be careful when seeing this doctor. I am a 32 year old male that has RA, Lyme disease and multiple herniated and bulging disks. I had an app. Friday October 5th and I wish I had never gone. Due to my disabilities I see multiple doctors. I am in excrusiating pain continuously all day long. I went in the office and the staff is always miserable and rude. As I was waiting for my name to be called a staff member asked me for some info about my other doctors. I thought that it was strange but they must need it for thier records. So I gave her the info. She called all of my doctors and got me discharged from all of them, all because 6 months ago when I moved to the area and came in to get established, to have a primary doc. That was my first and only visit till friday, apparently I signed a sheet saying that I would only get pain medication from him. He gave me 20 oxycodone 5mg So I could have something till I found a pain managment doctor. So Friday while I waited to see doctor J, the staff member called all of my doctors that I despiratly need and told them that I was recieving pain medication from them as well. what they didnt say was that it was only once and it was before i saw the other doctors. after an hour and a half she came to the front and told me that i could not be seen and i am also discharged from there. she also had me discharged from all my other doctors as well. With my diseases i really need these doctors and now i am running out of medication and have no where to turn. I left his office in tears and so upset because they made me feel like a criminal. I am a well dressed christian man that just needs help. Trust me these people have no morals or ethics. I think this may be against the law what they did but i am scared and dont know what to do . so anyone out there beware . i take oxycotin 80mg and oxycodone 30 mg x4 times a day.
