I am not the bride that believes nothing will go wrong on her wedding day but some things can be avoided. We booked the Musette with the understanding that it would be perfect and there would be nothing wrong. I communicated via email for every detail (including pictures of how we wanted everything to look) so nothing could be misunderstood or left out. She took forever to respond or would ignore certain questions. I felt as though I had to hound her for answers to the simplest things just in case we needed to be prepared for something. Our cake provided by her came in the wrong color (beige rather than blue), our food was cold, the lox on pumpernickel bread appetizers was stale, the spinach dip was like eating mayo out of the jar, the restrooms didn't have soap, and the owner was just plain rude. Mind you, we were told her food was excellent and because of the way she prepares it she couldn't do a tasting for us. That should have been a clue. We were told there would be enough chairs for all of our guests - only half of our guests had seats. The aisle was too small for everyone to walk down, my husband's father almost tripped as he walked down. She was yelling at my husband from the time he arrived because he had made a comment about the seats. The owner Sherri had such an attitude about things. The candy buffet we had decorated for the wedding day and set up by her staff was ruined as the decorations were pulled off or hanging by a string because they didn't take their time with taking them out of their bubble wrap and threw them up on the table quickly. The upstairs tables where the dance floor was were supposed to have centerpieces on them as stated by Sherri and they did not. Some of the tables didn't even have table cloths. When we met with her prior to the wedding, we picked out colors for the tables. She had said when we signed our contract any solid color would be free of charge but if we wanted patterns, we'd have to pay extra. That changed when we met with her to pick the colors and said we could only have white for free. I feel as though we were promised the world and once we signed the contract, it went down hill from there. The best part was the Friday before when I gave her the final things for the day of including a seating chart with how many people at each table and she didn't set the tables up correctly. Half the tables were missing seats for our guests. Her response- she had a huge party the night before and was there til 5am cleaning up from them. Also, the DJ sprung on me Friday before the wedding that she didn't get the songs for the ceremony and reception we requested and could I make her a CD? She had our music questionnaire for 3 weeks prior and there was not a word to be said about not having the music. My husband made a phone call and all of a sudden she had the music. I know it was a great deal with everything included - but sometimes things that sound too good to be true are just that.
