I am not sure what the last two reviewers experienced, but I have been dining at Carke's religously for the last 4 years. Laura, the owner is amazing and the food continues to impress. From traditional Irish fair to a Filet Mignon, you

I think the restaurant is definitely past its prime. No effort to keep the food as fresh and tasty as when they first opened a few years ago, and the prices are high for the value. The ever-present owner seems to have lost her zeal for the business -- seeming crabby and unwelcoming at the door.

This place used to be a lot better. Still has pretty satisfying pub fare but I used to go there for a nice dinner with my girlfriend, too, and those days are gone. Bland dishes, overpriced food and drink. And the service is nothing to write home about. Still, if you're hard up on a night out with your buddies, it'll do the trick as the next stop on your pub crawl...

Great everything. The Irish ambiance and setting was excellent along with the locale. . . . Recommend it as an excellent place to dine. Reasonable prices.

My favorite place to go. Have been here a dozen plus times. Clarke's is comfy and serves great food. Love the crispy cabbage rolls appetizer ( with corned beef and mashed potatoes) whoa! Great wine selection and ice cold "Stella" on draught (highly recommend with a fresh baked pretzel). Excellent friendly service too.

I've been to Clarke's a bunch of times, sometimes for drinks and others for dinner. The staff is great, the beer is great and the food is excellent. It's become one of those "regular" places. You know the type, where you don't mind going back to again and agaian and again.

The restaurant is within walking distance, the host and waiters are all experienced and friendly. Most important the food is very well prepared and presented. A friendly, happy place, which I would recommend.

My wife & I were visiting friends in the Miami area and found Clarke's on Citysearch. Clarke's was a welcome change from all the trendy(no thank you) locations popping up in Miami since our last visit. Good food, good beer, good service and a very nice neighborhood pub atmosphere. It reminded me of the good old days when I used to go out more(except Clarke's is nice then those places). Highly recommended.

Clarke's is a rare gem, located in the South of Fifth district in South Beach. I have been there several times, and I was always pleased with the food. It's a great place to watch a game at the bar, or to have a casual dinner. The owner Laura, is very service oriented, and knows how to run a place. Everything is good, and I have tried just about everything on the menu. Definitely try Clake's at least once. You will not be disappointed.

Pros: Great food, good service

Cons: Can be crowded on weekend, and I don't think they take reservations

Forget the tourist trap restaurants all over South Beach. Clarke's is a real find. Centrally located, with easy parking, Clarke's is run by Laura Cullen, who comes from a NY restaurant family, and she and her attentive staff will make you feel like a regular even on a first visit. It has the feel of an upscale Irish pub, with a great bar (drinks are generous), and super food from burgers to bangers and mash to fish and chips to sesame crusted ahi tuna (best burger on the Beach!). Wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. This restuarant is always packed with locals who love it, and it seems like a constant big party. If you want top notch food, reasonable prices, and a ton of fun, get over to Clarke's. You're sure to love it. It's one of our favorites, and we live in South Beach.

Read the rave review in the Miami Herald on a recent visit to Florida. Clarke's lived up to the review and more it was a repeat visit for my wife and I during our one week stay in Miami Beach. The atmosphere and the staff were warm and inviting to two strangers and the food was first rate. Add to this the very reasonable prices especially in the Miami Area and you have a must visit spot during any stay in the Miami Area.

Who would've thought an Irish pub could complement South Beach so well? We'll give it up for Laura Cullen, former wine distributor and daughter of a publican, who believed attitudinous Sobe was starving for an honest eating-drinking place…
