A few months ago, I asked the Longwood Albertson's store manager why they do not carry canned lima beans. They just don't, he said, so he went to a local store and bought 8 cans of the beans to keep me happy. He told me no other stores would ever be carrying lima beans again. I called Publix, Winn-Wixie and even DelMonte's 800 number, and found out he lied. A few days ago, I was again in that store, hoping they would finally carry canned lima beans; I met that same manager (Mike), and he told me that I should know by now that they don't carry lima beans. I remarked that they have hundreds of greasy pizza in their freezers, but they cannot get a "health food" like canned lima beans for their customers. He said his buyer would not order them. I asked him for the telephone number of their corporate office, and he said they have no corporate office -- that there are only 20 Albertson's left in FloridaI I remarked No wonder --at least Publix gets anything we require. He told me then I should just shop there if I like it so much (it is 3 miles from my house, through heavy traffic, thus I shop at Albertson's which is closeby). He told me I was a "chronic complainer" -- chronic!!! all I asked for was a few cans of lima beans -- asked twice in a 4-month period !! I spend $150-$180 in that store every week, and he won't get me what I need.
I came home and called that corporate office he said they did not have, and gave the very nice woman in Customer Service the whole story. The next day there was a message on my answering machine from someone named Greg, that the Longwood store now has lima beans on Aisle 1 with the other canned vegetables.

On May 8th I was approached by a female as I was getting out of my car. She was getting very close to me, not giving me space-wanting to tell me a sob story. An elderly male employee was walking by to get carts and I yelled for him. he stopped. I asked him to go get a manager. he said no, and kept walking. I started to walk aggressivly against the female yelling for her to get away from me. I went into the store. A young male employee was near the door. I asked him to tell a manager about what was going on. He said he would. No manager every came to find me. At the check out I was able to tell the front line manage what happened. The young man who was going to get a manager said the manager never answered his page. The front line manager went to get the elderly employee and went outside to look for the vagrant. I did not expect the elderly employee to do anything physical, but by refusing to get me help I feel he put me danger. Since the manager of the store did not answer his page, he is also negligent. How can I feel safe shopping there? I feel I should do a police report and I should receive an apology from that employee and the manager. My life could have been at risk by their actions.
