I have been working with A/C Mechanix for the last few years and they did an excellent job! Most recently my A/C went out in this hot heat! I knew it was time to replace my unit, and the owner Brad was kind enough to forwarn me but always fixed it for me. I get several bids adn Brad's was the best - He took the time and patience to show me the different units, and how the ratings work- no other company did that! He even came out to fix it temporarily for no charge! When it came time to replace it, he had his service men there as promised and they did an excellent job! I also had to replace the water heater and a small portion of my wall with mold and his tech worked very well with the other contractors. Brad came out and inspected it, called to follow up and gave me the most discounts I was not aware of from FPL and Rheem as well as the tax discount saving me almost $2,000! My new unit works awesome and Brad's company and service tech's are highly professional, clean up and I am very satisfied! I would not wast time with other companies, This man is a good man and a Christian as well - honest and hardworking!

On 5/14/10 they arrive to inform me that the drain pan is rusted and un-repairable, and they need to replace the pan. (Darn I was hoping for a new air handler.)

The tech (Mike V) tells me these Train units last forever, and you can always get parts to repair them. So a new unit won??t be necessary. The work order states clearly they need to order drain pan and reschedule for repairs.

Once again, I don??t hear anything for WEEKS!!! I start up my phone call circuit once again! I first call A/C Mechanix, they inform me the warranty company is supposed to order the drain pan, and to call them. I call the warranty company and they tell me ?? nope- A/C Mechanix is responsible for that, and it clearly states it in my file. UGH!! A/C Mechanix is so incompetent!

Warranty company call??s A/C Mechanix and informs them they have to get the part. I ??ONCE AGAIN- call A/C Mechanix to find out if the part is in. And yes it is. (But they sure can??t call me to tell me!)

So on 6/9/10 they finally come out to replace the rusted drain pan. But they actually call me to tell me the tech will be out! WoW surprised they know how to reach me!! It doens't end there.

The warranty company informed me that someone from A/C Mechanix would contact me within 24-48 hrs to set up an appointment. I didn't hear anything for a few days. I called A/C mechanix, and they told me they didn't get the work order from the Warranty company. (LIE) I called warranty company and they said it was submitted, but they resubmitted the order anyway.

I still didn't receive any phone calls from A/C mechanix to set up an appointment. It's now a been almost a week since my original service call.

I, once again, call A/C mechanix to figure out whats going on. When I speak to their rep (Terry), she said she's been trying to call me to set up the appt. But my number was invalid.

Come to find out, this company doesn't realize you have to dial a 1 in front of a long distance phone number. SO - rather then contact the warranty company to verify my contact info, they just put my service order aside and ignored me.

Luckily I called them, or else I'd never have an apt!!! I spoke to a supervisor and asked to set up an apt. And they did so.

I live in Longwood, have been using this company for years, they have always been there for me. I have no knowledge of my cooling system so I have to trust what their technician tells me. I feel like they are on my side and not just coming out to sell me a new unit. I would recommend them to both family and freinds. I hope they read this so they will know how much that they are appreciated.

In November AC Mechanix did a complete repair and replacement of my Ac cooling system components to the tune of $482. The system failed in less than 5 months. They said "they only offer a 30 day warrantee" but they would be happy to charge me again for the same work that they didn't do correctly in the first place. They don't stand by their screw ups. I will never use them again. Don't get burned ! GO ELSEWHERE FOR AC WORK

My experience with this company was a breath of fresh air compare to some other air condition repair companies I've used in the past. Last month my air conditioner started leaking just before my family was coming for Thanksgiving. I called these guys and the girl on the phone was very helpful, and concerned that the leak would damage my hardwood floors, so she sent a guy out to my house that day (a Saturday). The technician was very thorough and respectful of my son napping in the next room. He even took the time to educate me a bit on why it happened and how different maintenance could prevent from happening again.

The pricing was very reasonable and my home owners insurance covered the cost, but I would definitely go back to this company even if I had to pay out of pocket.

Found out that Deena (the snob who used to answer the phones ) doesn't work there anymore. They are all about customer service and making things right now. Seems like the economy goes bad and people realize they have to keep the customer happy. Ac Mechanix sure figured it out!!! Now they have great prices and great customer service.

What a horrible experience with this company. My AC breaks down on a Sunday, I had to go through my home warranty to use this company. On Monday morning, they state they don't have any openings until the next day, which is understandable. Make an appointment for Tuesday, and they state they will call me before the repairman arrives. Get home later that day, to find out they did show up earlier and failed to call me on my cell phone as instructed to do so. They offer excuses, and refuse to send a technician even though I have a small child in the house. Go elsewhere if you want to actually have some customer service and people willing to do their jobs correctly. They don't seem to care at all. Unfortunately I still will have to wait and see if they show up tomorrow. I did file a complaint against this company with my home warranty company and urged them to drop them off their vendor list.
