A Visit to Deering Bay
by Mandy B.
I go to school at the University of Florida and came down to Miami for a weekend to see my Aunt. She is a member at Deering Bay and I got the opportunity to visit as a guest for a day. Let me say that it was one of the best experiences i have ever had at a private country club. The golf course was gorgeous, and while playing we even had the pleasure of seeing beautiful peacocks across the way. The course is apparently an Arnold Palmer Signature Course, and it showed, as is was one of the best courses I have had the opportunity to play on. Afterwards, we went to the clubhouse to cool off and have some lunch. We chose to eat in the bar, rather then the dining room, but we had excellent service and the food was delicious. It was also the perfect atmosphere to relax in after a day on the course. I didn't have the opportunity to spend time at the beautiful pool or on the Har-Tru tennis courts, but hope to be able to visit in the future. It seems like a great club and my Aunt, who has been a member for five years, has had nothing but praise for it. I definitely plan on visiting both her and Deering Bay the next time I am in Miami.

Now This is a Country Club Done Right!
by Ethan S.
Frequently referred to as South Florida's hidden gem, Deering Bay's Arnold Palmer designed, 6,740 yard, par 71 golf course that meanders through mangrove forests along Biscayne Bay is the perfect backdrop to a wonderful dining and social experience our family had last week.
Apparently, the club completed a $5M renovation in 2007 and complemented their phenomenal food and service from last week with even better surroundings in their bar, various dining rooms and banquet areas. We had some of the freshest seafood (Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass) and some of the finest cuts of meat (Roasted Rack of Colorado Lamb).
All in all, Deering Bay is some of the best Country Club food we've ever had and we're considering joining so that we can experience it year round. Plus, the golf course looked pretty challenging and the scenery was amazing!
