More about IPA Prosthetics & Orthotics

After being given a prescription by their doctor, patients are then able to make an appointment to be seen by a practitioner at our office. We understand that your time is just as important as ours so we do our best to make this as convenient as possible. We are open Monday through Friday 8 A.M to 5 P.M. and are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies. We are located at 2315 Ruth Hentz Drive, which is just off West 23rd street across from Bill Cramer Chevrolet. IPA Prosthetics and Orthotics offers a complete variety of pre-fabricated or ??off the shelf? braces and supports as well as the more patient specific or ??customized? devices. IPA is a recognized leader in the design and fabrication of extremity prosthetics or ??artificial limbs? and offers almost 30 years of experience in this broad and exciting field. Crafting precision orthotic appliances and prosthetic devices is not only a specific and detailed science, but can also be considered a form of art as we are fitting the human anatomy and therefore each of our patients is designed differently. Some of the appliances and services that we offer include: foot orthotics, ankle supports and bracing, knee bracing, hip supports and prophylactic hip bracing following surgery, spinal bracing and supports, upper extremity supports, including range of motion (R.O.M.) bracing of the shoulder and elbow, carpel tunnel management, all levels of fracture bracing and immobilization following traumatic injury and custom prosthetic devices for both lower and upper extremity. Our prosthetic management program includes computer aided design (C.A.D.) microprocessor applications for the appropriate candidates, myoelectrics and the supremely functional devices needed by amputee athletes for sporting activities. We feel that we are better equipped to design and fabricate customized appliances such as artificial limbs because this process is done in our own laboratory rather than by technicians often many miles away who have never seen the patients themselves. It does make a difference.
