.

We arrived in the evening after a 7 hour drive. a friend (who lives in palaka) had made the arrangments. At first glance it was not bad. However, by morning light, it started going down hill. We were told by the woman that ran the "on property cafe" that they were in the process of "remodeling" the old place ....and that we had "the best cabin " on property. the rooms were old and wore.. for a 3 day stay we had a total of 2 bath towels . the bed had A bottom sheet , a THIN cotton bed spread' and two pillows that had to have been purchased from a dollar store. no extra blankets no extra towels no extra pillows. by the second night we put the cuishion from the chairs in the room behind the bed pillows to sleep. there was a nice porch out back with a glass top table that looked liked it had come from someone dining room. the chairs provided for the porch were old "directors chairs. Thier were no curtains on the kitchen window which had a straight view to our bed . there were no curtains on the bathroom window which had a straight veiw to me sitting on the toilet. the kitchen had mismatched dishes and ,cups and glasses that looked liked they'd been purchased from a goodwill. and with all this FINE china, not a knife fork or spoon in the place. also no stove....

there was a small resturant and small bar on property. no matter which business we were in ...all's we heard from the empoyees was "BITCHING" about how one business was "trying to ruin the other business." Our last morning thier the workers.... i guess the owner keeps them on property, started pounding nails on the boat dock at (i kid you not) 7:15 A.M. (our cabin overlooked the docks cabin #5)

Staff was pleasent, althoug the only "staff" i met was the cafe owner... a bartender and a girl painting vacant rooms in the pocess of major repairs

AND THE KICKER TO ALL OF THIS... THE ROOM PER NITE WAS $100.00
PLUS TAX.

There are lots of other "fishing camps" in the area. book with one of them.
