The food here is great! I haven't been to any of the other locations around the country, but from what I've heard this is very similar to the others. It's not cheap, but it's worth it if you want to splurge.

Nobu is located within the Shore Club which is a beautiful hotel. The restaurant itself is plain in its decor and we were seated at an awkward table for 4, but the food was great. I agree with previous comments that you can get good sushi for less but the cooked dishes really were delicious. I highly recommend the lychee martinis. Overall, we had a great experience. Also, a good idea to stay for cocktails at the Shore Club's garden and pool area after dinner.

I love Nobu in NYC so was excited to try it in Miami. The cod is the most amazing dish ever. The sushi is ok but the cooked dishes and special dishes are much better. I will be back soon.

THE ONLY NOBU I TRIED IS IN ARMANI NOBU... THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT LIKE THE NOBU IN MIAMI. THE PORTIONS ARE MORE LITTLE HERE AND THE PRICES... ARE INCREDIBLE HIGHER IN MIAMI. OK, YOU HAVE AN EXCELLET AMBIENCE (MAYBE THE TABLES TOO NEAR), INCREDIBLE AND FRESH FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE. BUT I THINK THE PRICES ARE A LITTLE BIT HIGH. BUT IT'S A PLACE TO GO!

I have been to Nobu in New York and was it was amazing. Just what I expected. Last Sunday we went to Nobu expecting the same we had experience in New York. We could not have been more disappointed. The hostess was rude and told us the kitchen would close at 11 we would get seated at 10:45 and had to order immediately. The service couldn't have been any worse. The waiter forgot something we order and blamed it on me saying we had discussed the dish but I never actually ordered it. It all just went downhill from there. The quality of the food was mediocre. Will never go back again. I work in the industry, so I know what I'm talking about.

Been here more times then I can remember, and its always good. Nobu is the best Sushi place around (and theres alot of them). They use the best and most fresh ingredients available. The sushi is always awesome and the creamy spicy shrimp are great. Although it gets noisy its definetly one of the best Sushi places around, and presented in a great setting (The Shore Club).

I don't know what everyone else ate to call this restaurant one of the best, but the night I went, the sushi was mediocre. We ordered a few of their specials : one being a great dish of yellowtail with jalepeno and a special Nobu sauce. What we saw were slabs of yellowtail with one jalepeno on top. NOT IMPRESSIVE. We ordered a bunch of rolls and sashimi. Maybe Mr. Nobu was gone for the night but the sushi was average.

The sushi was without question, the finest I've had in America. It comes very close to the kind I had in Japan a year ago, but this one is much closer to the house. I could spare the airline ticket now for good thankfully. Everything about the experience was magnificent. Nobu has definitely commanded my undivided attention for its forte of food. The details, the service, and the ambiance were right on target as highly expected. Upon arrival, the manager greeted me and my group at the entrance and was very gracious about every possible detail of my evening at the restaurant. The clientele were classy and respectful as well, outside of the occasional on-lookers. Sushi is a delicacy and should be served in no other fashion than the manner that Nobu masterfully presents. There would be no justice on earth if not solely stated as true "Showtime Sushi." -L.A.

I went into Nobu with five friends with high expectations. Needless to say I was completely blown away by both the food and service. We all chose to do a tasting version that the server created for us to fit our likes and dislikes. Every bite was amazing and the meal just got better and better as the night progressed. The black cod turned out to be a personal favorite. And yes, the sushi was amazing as well. Plus, the price is very very reasonable. We spent $200 each which included drinks, bottled h2o, a bottle of wine, and a seven course meal!!!

I have also eaten at Nobu many times in many cities including this one at least 5 times. Nobu Miami always has attitude - you expect it, but this last time, well let's put it this way, they had give us most of our meal for free. Dinner for 4 people (once seated) took 2 1/2 hours our waiter nevew came by our meals were cooked wrong and when I complained the manager had the nerve to say 'well it was human error, we can't do anything'. Needless to say that did not go over well. That whole staff needs to be fired.

The prices weren't offensive but the SERVICE was! After waiting 2 hours (they don't take reservations) we order and our waiter tells us we ordered to much food!! He was wrong! My friend waited an hour after we received our rolls to receive her entree. First they brought it to the WRONG table, the people sifted through with chop sticks and then THE WAITER TRIED TO GIVE IT TO US! We refused (obviously!) and then waited another 1/2 hour. Medium-rare steak should NOT take that long! We also never received an appetizer we ordered. When we complained to the manager about the atrocious service, manager was RUDE. They finally removed the entree. I would have rather paid money for a good meal, then pay a less for a HORRIBLE experience. The thing that saves this place is that it is near the Skybar, which is FABULOUS.

First time to eat at Nobu's and I will be back!
The dinner was wonderful and the waiters/ress were not pushy, they were very helpful in recommending sake and such! We went on a Thursday night and waited about 20 mins. Not bad at all for south beach or any where else!
Loved it!

I had the worst experience at Nobu miami. First of all, they didn't give us an option to choose what kind of water we'd like..(paid $24 for three bottles of fiji +bean that they brought out---thought it was free..but i was wrong..another $6). Also waiter was keep telling me what i ordered didn't go with other dish..who cares? i want that DISH!!....Plus it took us three hours to finish eating cause service was so slow..Sushi wasn't fresh at all and bill was over $350 for four of us....one of the worst experience ever!

It was Thursday night. 3 of us had to wait almost 2 hours to get seat. which it was fine..enjoyed atmosphere and all the fab people I had to look. The service was unforgettful that I wish I could remember the waiter's name. BUT the price for sushi is just way to outstanding. Nowadays, you are paying for quality, value, atmosphere and reputation but valueing amount of food isn't a bad idea...

The food was good No doubt about it, but when you know how much you have paid for such small portions you tend to pick and judge the taste and culinary value of the dish.

There were definitely a few more items that I knew tasted obscure and off-balance compared to it's New York location. I guess Nobu regrettably has to localize their staff as well.

I don't like the fact that you have to eat in a hotel with uncomfortable seats and tables.

I guess that's what I don't like about eating at 'Fab' places, you end up paying to judge dishes / atmosphere / comfort / service, and forget to really enjoy the conversation you could have had with you friends.

Nobu is just as wonderful here as it is in NYC. It is housed in the trendy and fun Shore Club Hotel. The rock shrimp and sashimi salad are the best appetisers. The soft shell crab, spicy tuna, shrimp tempora and eel rolls are excellent! This place has it all, a great bar for drinks prior and the Sky bar is right outside which is phenominal and fun. Lay in the hammok and enjoy the views!

I have eaten many times at Nobu in NY and even at Nobu in London and at Matsuhisa in Los Angeles. I was extremely disappointed at Nobu in Miami! The sushi was not fresh, there was very little shrimp in my shrimp tempura - only breadcrumbs and the deserts were dried up. As for the service - what a disaster - I did not see my waiter from the time he took the order to the time he presented my check - which included two extra bottles of sake which we never received. An extremely disappointing experience!

Nobu was execptional. Our first visit was great. We ordered the 5 house specialty dishes; the Cod, Tuna, salad, etc. Check with the waiter, for the house specialties. Order the 5, they are $20 each, which is not bad for a couple. Our bill was $150 with two glasses of wine. Get the Cod, it may be the best dish that I have ever had, anywhere.

The service was good, but got better because my wife had met the host in another restaraunt. It was barely acceptable until he came over to our table. It makes me wonder, after all, Nobu is still on South Beach, where the service is typically bad.

Great, Great food, I can't wait to go back!!!

Nobu was not what I expected it to be. The waiter would suggest things that were way overpriced and skimped, me acting like a fool went along and tried his suggestions. The bill was over $250 for 4 people. The atmosphere is dark but nice, but the hotel that Nobu is in( The Shore Club) is different. Its very sheik and its hard to get around. Altogether the food is decent at Nobu in Miami but it is certainetly not worth the money.

From the moment you walk in the door, they've got their hand in your wallet. They add the gratuity to all checks so the waiter tries to pump the check by recommending the tasting menus (there are 3 of them) or offering to create a "personalized tasting menu based on your preferences" (translated: I will bring you the most expensive things on the menu in succession until you TELL me to stop). I felt like I was fighting with the waiter to avoid ordering a 6 course meal) the poor guy sitting one table over from me ended up with a $1300 check for 4 people because the waiter railroaded him into ordering the signature dishes and the "special" sushi and carafe of "good" sake (and it was good sake but it was very expensive). The room desperately needs remodeling. But otherwise the service was impeccable.

Considering executive chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa's reputation as the force behind "new style" (just slightly hot oil-seared) sashimi, marinated black cod, and many other dishes now found on virtually all contemporary Japanese fusion menus,…
