We will start from the beginning. My family and I have been going to Cheddar's for a year or two because the food is fairly priced. We went with some old friends and ended up with a party of 8. The waiter was terrible, we mentioned we were on a time schedule because we needed to catch a plane and he was slower than a turtle. Our meals were hardly edible. Steaks came out well done when asked for medium. My dijon chicken was smothered in the honey mustard dressing and NOT dijon. I asked if the dijon sauce was a new recipe and the waiter lied saying it had been changed. It was so disgusting no one wanted to eat it and so it was left uneaten and PAID for. We didn't have time to complain (hence the plane to catch). A day or two later, I called and spoke to a manager who told me the dijon sauce has certainly not changed yet was probably just a mistake by the kitchen. He told me my next meal for me and my family would be on the house to get us to come back. SOOOO.. We decided to give it another shot. BIG MISTAKE.. I called days ahead of time because I was now going to come in with a party of 11. We were promised by both the manager and the general manager that we would be taken care of. When my party of 11 and I arrived at the restaurant, the general manager came over to greet me. He was kind. Promised me a nice time and they were cleaning a table for us (two booths back to back) It was 6:00pm on a Saturday night and there was a 30 minute wait. The GM said we can have that table immediately or we could wait to get one large table together. We had 3 small children and really didn't want to wait. 20 minutes goes by and to our eyes, the hostesses sat other people at what was promised to be our table. I approached the hostess stand where there stood a man who dressed down and wore open toed sandals. I asked why other people had been sat at our table and he rudely stated we were not going to be sat when and where we wanted. I stated that the GM promised us that table. He loudly stated that he told the GM we could not sit there. I asked why we had been lied to and who he was. He said he was the owner and was extremely rude. He talked down to me like he was better then us and just didn't care what had been promised to me and my family by his own staff. He then told me we had to wait another 20-30 minutes. We called the Chinese restaurant near by my home, making a reservation (that was honored) walked out of Cheddar's and will never look back.
I will never give a man so egotistical my business again. I thought Middle eastern decent folk were hospitable however this one has failed miserably at having and hospitality and couth.
I won't be going back.

Pros: Decent Ambiance and Food (some times on a good day)

Cons: WORST customer service I have seen

.

I first went to Cheddar's when I was a student at Michigan State University and ever since then I couldn't get enough. The service is always very good, the environment is great (large comfortable booths, very casual, clean restrooms, etc.), and the food is very good and cheap too! My girlfriend and I were able to order drinks, appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts and get out of there for under $50! It's amazing how they can charge so little for such great food, and the environment is so relaxing you don't really want to leave. I recommend the Spasagna with Alfredo Sauce and the Cookie Monster for dessert. I'll keep going back to Cheddar's!

Pros: Food, prices, service, environment, easy parking.

Cons: Too far from Boca Raton.

Well, I guess you would say I am a regular here. I eat here every tuesday night and have been for over a year. The prices are great and you get a good value for your money. I just love the chicken fingers. They are made differently here and better than anyplace else around! The onion rings are darn good too! They do have trouble with the chicken and meat. They over cook most meals! I have had trouble with them not listening to how I like my food cooked, but they generally try to correct their mistakes. Although too their credit, they have offered me a credit or a desert when they have messed up. I go enjoy going there because they are open late, offer great prices, and have most favorites on the menu. You will enjoy the place but be specific on what you like. The wait staff is generally nice and although I have trouble with one or two, the rest have been very nice.

I ate at Cheddars last night for the first time. I was alittle shocked at how well decorated the place was and how well kept it is. There's an outdoor waterfall and lots of plants inside which really give the place a much different feel than your average american eatery. I had the Mango Salsa Tilapia which was surprisingly filling and tasty, the two sides I chose were broccoli cheddar and french fries. My girlfriend had the country fried steak which was over breaded and even said that dennys version was better. All in all, the price paid was totally worth it and we will return.
