Review of the Treasure Island Yacht & Tennis Club:
We visited the club for the very first time on 01/14/2010. We brought a group of eight people (also first timers) to see Bobby Tess & The Dixie Chaps perform. The entertainment was outstanding! Unfortunately, the food served by the club kitchen was less than desirable. Two of our party ordered sandwiches and my wife and I ordered wings and French Fries. Not only was the service extremely slow (especially when checking out) but the food was quite inedible and was served with (you will not believe this) MCDONALD'S KETCHUP PACKAGES!!! Yes, that is right; this high class affluent patron??s only club steals their condiments from the local McDonald's! Bill Edwards should be ashamed of himself! If I ever wanted to pony up the thousands of dollars it takes to hang with this "elite" crowd I certainly have some serious reservations after this experience. Additionally, the club is nothing special. The construction is bare bones and cheap looking. This club is definitely not worth the money they are charging for membership. I would give it more than two thumbs down but I only have two thumbs!

Pros: None

Cons: Food, Service & Facilities

.

Absolutely horrible from management all the way down the line. A complete disaster in the making. Lousy food and service. Food related illness reported by members several times. Intermittently functioning steam rooms and elavators etc. This club is in monetary desparation which shows in its daily function and management. The recent construction of the new facility has only prolonged what is to come. Bankrupcy and a buy out are in its immediate future.
