Great place to hang out and relax inside or out. We like to sit outside on Friday evenings and listen to live music, have a few drinks and visit with friends. Nice and casual, good service and reasonable prices.

We've traveled all over and love to try new places to eat. Little did we know about EJ's Fishbones Grill except that it's almost always busy and right in our own backyard. I had the Broiled Scallop Dinner and my husband had the Black Angus Filet Mignon. The scallops were cooked perfectly...which is hard to do as so many places cook them to death until they are rubbery. Hubby's steak (he's very picky) was cooked beautifully med rare. We both had a choice of soup or salad and two sides. We loved every minute of this place. The decor is warm, the tables have neat photos from the Englewood and general Florida area as well as some fishing lures too. The one owner Ed was behind the bar and is wife Jan was running between the kitchen and helping the staff get food out to the tables. It's nice to see owners that are there (versus the absent type), willing to really find out how your meal was and make any little correction to make sure your meal is perfect. Our server was fantastic and really made sure that we were happy and satisfied. By the way...the key lime pie is EXCELLENT, definitely homemade (you can tell by the dish it comes in) and some of the best I've had in a long time.

I would highly recommend this place and we'll be back again.
